With years of experience as a midwife and birth professional, I support families through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum with a holistic, grounded approach that honors both physiology and personal choice. Whether you are planning a home birth, hospital birth, birth center delivery, medicated or unmedicated experience, my role is to help you feel fully prepared — physically, emotionally, and mentally — for the birth you desire. My pregnancy bodywork sessions are designed to support optimal fetal positioning, pelvic balance, and nervous system regulation. When the body is aligned and tension patterns are released, babies can settle into ideal positions and labor often unfolds more smoothly. A regulated nervous system allows you to feel safer, more present, and more empowered — which can significantly impact both birth and postpartum recovery. In addition to hands-on bodywork, I offer comprehensive childbirth education that prepares you for the realities of labor, informed decision-making, partner support, and postpartum recovery. My goal is not to push a specific birth path, but to equip you with knowledge, confidence, and tools so you can navigate your experience feeling supported and in control. I bring both clinical insight and steady presence. I understand the nuances of hospital systems and home birth environments, and I help families advocate for themselves while staying connected to their intuition. Birth is a rite of passage — and preparation matters. When your body is balanced, your nervous system is regulated, and your mind is informed, you enter birth grounded and ready. It is an honor to walk alongside families as they prepare to welcome their babies and step into parenthood with confidence.

I believe with every conviction that mothers hold innate wisdom to birth their babies. , I honor your intuition through holistic care and embodied practice—supporting you through pregnancy, birth, and the sacred postpartum transition. As your Sister in Christ, I offer faith-based birth support for those wanting so. We approach your labor as an act of worship—leaning on prayer and rejoicing to reveal God's strength and love for you. I am a community-first birthworker, passionate about making holistic wellness, coaching, and education accessible to women in my community. My work blends embodied childbirth education and hands-on support across pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. As a Birthing From Within–trained mentor, I offer education that goes far beyond information—our work honors the inner journey, emotional landscape, and transformation that birth invites. Alongside this, I provide holistic, nurturing care including herbal remedies, gentle bodywork, mindful movement, breathwork, and food as medicine—supporting the body’s natural physiology while tending to the nervous system and spirit. My Philosophy: Honoring the MotherBaby Dyad I intimately understand and uphold the crucial MotherBaby bond and believe in family-oriented care that follows natural instincts. This belief shapes every facet of my postpartum support and education: Attachment Parenting: I educate and support families in honoring bonding practices such as exclusive breastfeeding, safe bed-sharing/co-sleeping, elimination communication, and babywearing. Holistic Recovery: I offer nourishing, restorative care in the first 40 days, drawing from my training as a Postpartum Practitioner mentored by Pilar Chandler, Doctor of Ayurveda for Women’s Health. Lactation Philosophy: The Power of Human Milk I am deeply committed to the evidence supporting human milk as the optimal standard for infant nutrition. While I support all feeding choices with heart, my philosophy is rooted in the conviction that exclusive breastfeeding provides unparalleled protection and nourishment. This is not just "good"; scientific consensus confirms that breast is best for both maternal and infant health outcomes.

Gia was such a grounding presence throughout my pregnancy and birth. She really listened to what I wanted and made me feel supported the whole way through. From our prenatal visits to labor support, I felt like I had someone in my corner who truly cared. So grateful for her!

I help new parents feel calmer, more confident, and less overwhelmed in the early weeks with their baby—especially around feeding. As a board-certified lactation consultant and newborn care specialist, I offer clear, evidence-based guidance paired with a steady, intuitive approach that helps you trust your body, your baby, and your decisions.

For any interested expecting Mama’s; don’t hesitate. If you’re looking at this it’s probably because you are considering a Lactation Consultant. Please set yourself and your baby up for success with Evonne. I had a discovery call with Evonne about 10 days before I gave birth and then saw her a handful of times after. Breastfeeding is a roller coaster and I honestly would have given up if it weren’t for Evonne. She helped with getting my baby to latch comfortably and also helped with bodywork and her neck tension. Evonne has such a calm and nurturing approach to her care. She even helped me learn the best ways to encourage my baby to sleep and massages to help with constipation. Before seeing Evonne, my baby girl had lost 8% of her body weight in the first few days but after just one appointment with Evonne, she “overachieved” on getting back on track. Shes growing so well now! We also saw Hideko for a bodywork session and she was so gentle and amazing at explaining to us everything that she was noticing. She gave us homework to help our baby also and we saw the difference in just a few days. Our baby became so much more comfortable. Both Evonne and Hideko are so flexible with in-office offerings, home visits and virtual follow-ups. They provided so much information and tutorials also to review. My family and I are so beyond grateful to Evonne and Hideko. You are in amazing hands with them!

Josée (pronounced Joe-say) is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) providing compassionate, evidence-based breastfeeding support for families in Pasadena and throughout the Los Angeles area. Josée’s passion for supporting families began while living abroad in Ghana and Haiti, where she worked in several community health clinics and developed a deep appreciation for maternal and infant health across diverse cultural settings. These experiences shaped her commitment to providing inclusive, respectful, and individualized care for every family she works with. After returning to Canada, Josée completed a Bachelor’s degree in International Development at the University of Guelph before pursuing advanced training in lactation and infant feeding. In 2015, she graduated from the Lactation Medicine Program at the Jack Newman International Breastfeeding Centre in Toronto, one of the leading breastfeeding education programs in North America. In 2017, Josée became an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) after completing extensive clinical training in human lactation and passing the IBLCE certification exam. The IBCLC credential is the international gold standard for lactation care, requiring rigorous education, clinical experience, and ongoing professional development. Josée’s approach to lactation care is grounded in evidence-based practice, compassion, and inclusivity. She believes every family’s feeding journey is unique and strives to meet parents exactly where they are—whether they are navigating painful breastfeeding, concerns about milk supply, newborn feeding patterns, pumping, or simply looking for reassurance during the early weeks with a new baby. Her goal is to create a supportive and non-judgmental space where families feel heard, respected, and empowered to make informed decisions that work best for them and their baby. Josée currently runs a private lactation practice in Los Angeles and lives in Pasadena with her husband and son. She provides breastfeeding support for families throughout the surrounding communities, including: • Pasadena • Eagle Rock • Highland Park • Glendale • Burbank • Alhambra • Hollywood • Downtown Los Angeles

We just made it to a full year of breastfeeding, and I truly don’t think we would have made it without Josée's help in those early days. She was so calm, kind, and reassuring during a time that felt overwhelming and emotional. Breastfeeding was feeling so complicated, but she helped us come up with a simple, realistic game plan that worked for our family. Her relaxed approach gave me so much confidence in my body, and I am incredibly grateful for her support. I recommend her to every new parent I know!

We reached out to Veronica when our five-week-old baby was having intense four-hour screaming fits every late afternoon. We were completely exhausted—mentally and physically—and felt overwhelmed and unsure of what to do next. At that point, we realized we didn’t just need help calming our baby—we needed professional guidance and education as new parents. We began looking for a coach and a New Parent Educator who could truly teach us and support us during this challenging stage. Veronica kept coming up everywhere, and after connecting with her, we knew she was the right fit for our family. We hired Veronica as our New Daddy Doula Coach and New Parent Educator, and it was one of the best decisions we made. As a dad, I really needed reassurance and hands-on teaching. Veronica made me feel calm, capable, and confident. She also supported my wife, Chao, as a new mom, helping both of us understand our baby’s needs and how our own emotions impacted him. When Veronica arrived, our baby was inconsolable. Within a short time, she calmly fed him, soothed him in her arms, and he fell asleep peacefully. She then taught us practical techniques to calm our fussy baby and coached us on how to regulate our own breathing and energy, explaining how babies absorb and respond to parental stress. By the time Veronica finished working with us, the transformation was incredible—from hours of crying to a peaceful evening where we were playing cards in the kitchen with our baby content in our arms. We now use her tips every day. As parents, we feel more confident and grounded, and we truly understand the basics of caring for our baby. We are deeply grateful for Veronica’s support and would highly recommend her. We look forward to working with her again.

To me the most important thing about this work is the human touch. Having grown up attending births in my family, I am a supportive, intuitive experienced doula who centers the whole family. You are the parent, not the patient to me. I focus on helping you move your body in ways that will help bring the baby down, using my hands, heart, and breath work at the center of my care. I have experience with many community births at home and in birthing centers (Simi Valley Birth Center and the Brooklyn Birthing Center), as well was with many hospital births in Los Angeles, Ventura, New York City, and Seattle. I am passionate about giving normal, humanizing service and advocacy to disabled and high risk parents to center your voice, needs, and access from start to finish. In order to provide a stronger service within the disability community, I work with a partner or group.

Working with Alison was a wonderful experience. From the beginning moments of telling her about my pregnancy through to the post natal experience, she showed her strong intuitive skills, used her sense of humor and was able to guide us through this wondrous process. Alison was especially helpful at offering clarity around my choices in labor and especially a strong supporter when I felt pressure from my team of doctors to take the epidural. Alison reminded me that I had a choice and that freed me to make the right decision for me. Alison was also adept at councelling my husband and I throughout our pre labor experience around the myriad of changes, emotions, wonders and fear that having a child brought up for us. She always provided a safe environment for us that was healing, engaging and fun. Alison used her intuition to guide us in working together as a couple and was able to read exactly what we needed individually and together. Alison used her own weatlth of knowledge from various areas in her life to support us and remind us of the constant flow that occurs in labor and in child rearing. This helped me to trust in the process; something I am not always great at! Her kindness and ability to be present and focused was an immense help to me in the delivery room. From talking a family member away from the delivery room, to navigating doctors, to coaching my husband to helping me and giving me space when needed was amazing. I happily and whole heartedly recommend Alsion to work with as a birthing partner and aly on the birth journey.

Hey there! My name is Nikki and I'm so excited to support you and your family during this transitional time! Caring for families during the most exciting but also most vulnerable and scary time in their lives is my passion and calling. I particularly take interest in helping LGBTQIA+ families, neurodivergent parents, and parenting after infertility. My job is to leave a family feeling better than when I arrived by providing emotional and physical support, education, information, and resources.

Recent review

TLDR: We wholeheartedly, without reservation, recommend Nikki. Trustworthy, kind, compassionate, knowledgeable, excellent. Hire her! More Details: After 3 months in the hospital (a month on the perinatal high risk unit with preeclampsia, then 2 months in the NICU after emergency c-section), Nikki stepped in to help us when we finally brought home our little preemie. We were terrified, exhausted, lost, confused and traumatized. I'm not sure how we would have managed without Nikki. My husband and I were AMAZED constantly at her knowledge and skills around our newborn. This little alien lifeform that I had no idea what to do with, she just knew intuitively. She also helped take care of me making sure I always had a full water glass, making sure I ate, making sure I could shower and nap. Another thing I really really appreciated about Nikki was her lactation knowledge. Because of the preeclampsia/c-section/prematurity, our breastfeeding journey was just rough. I was pumping every 2-3 hours, and also going to appointments with IBCLCs and OTs to try to help, and also trying all the different pumps. Nikki's knowledge and advice was SO helpful. I would be overwhelmed at trying to figure out how to use this stupid new pump I bought, and Nikki very patiently figured it out and helped. She accompanied us to appointments, gave input, and helped implement suggestions. Besides all of that, she was just easy to be around, which was huge in the early days. Easy to talk to, good sense of humor, open and authentic. She would come in the early morning, and quietly come take the baby out of her bassinet while we were passed out trying to recover from a rough night of wakings and pumpings. Plus she did a lot of extra stuff that I'm not sure is even part of doula care? In my early postpartum haze, I decided it was the right time to try to make challah for the first time (what?!) and she was on board with me, helping me make the dough, while also experimenting with a wearable pump at the same time?! We also really appreciated that she was never judgemental or critical, always objective and answered questions and problems from a place of knowledge of evidence and experience.

At Birth by Brit I believe that birth and feeding should feel supported, empowered, and even a little magical. I’m here for you to be there every step of the way from pregnancy, birth and beyond with non-judgmental and evidence based care. My business is led by me, a nurse, lactation counselor, and parent who knows the beauty and chaos of this season firsthand. I have been an OB nurse for the past 7 years, a lactation counselor the last 4 years and a mom of 2. I lead with compassion and have a strong belief in tailoring your care to YOU and your individual needs. My philosophy is that education is empowerment. I fully believe that feeling prepared and educated early on brings such a sense of calm and control your birthing space. I proudly serve all birthing people and families, honoring every identity, body, and background with inclusive care. I offer both virtual and in person services to be able to support families with a variety of budgets

Recent review

I cannot recommend Brit highly enough. I found her at 36 weeks when I realized I had a lot of anxiety about giving birth in a hospital setting, and she completely transformed my experience. Brit took the time to thoroughly educate me about all the potential interventions I might encounter at the hospital, which helped me feel informed and prepared rather than fearful. During my 29-hour labor, she was there for nearly the entire time, providing steady, calm support exactly when I needed it most. What made Brit truly exceptional was how she empowered both my husband and me to advocate for ourselves. When we needed to request a change in our attending nurse, she helped us navigate that conversation. She guided us in understanding what kinds of support and interventions were right for us, always centering my preferences and comfort. Having Brit on my team made all the difference—I felt like an active participant in my own birth rather than something happening to me. She helped me reclaim my birth experience and feel confident in my choices. If you're looking for a doula who will educate, support, and empower you through one of life's most intense experiences, Brit is your woman!

ANGELINA, we have already made it clear to you. You have already went to yelp. We have reviewed your reviews., you go around making bad reviews because at a snap of a finger, one time visit we could not make due to an emergency induction for another mom. Out of 300 births, you are the only person who has ever tried to hurt my business the way you have. I personally feel that you have to heal in your postpartum that’s a priority to me versus my feelings at this point I have parted ways with you for more than one reason this is a public platform and I will not disclose any of your personal information. I did an absolutely fantastic job as doula , I did not ask you to write a review on this website, you made flaws claims and accusations about contracts. I have never made anyone sign. You made false claims about me not being communicative with you about a postpartum visit. You made false claims in regards to my professional professionalism. I helped watch your sweet baby boy while you were able to have a successful delivery. I have treated your family with absolute respect. But one thing I will not tolerate about my business as false accusation.. I will not move forward with any type of care in the future, and we have parted ways.
