Hey there, I'm Priscilla Jackson, your go-to Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC) ready to guide and cheer you on every step of your breastfeeding journey. From Cypress to Kingwood and Spring/Klein to Conroe, I'm here to offer support, encouragement, and a whole lot of love. My journey into lactation consulting was sparked by my own experiences as a young mother. When I had my son at 19, I was clueless about breastfeeding. But with the unwavering support of my son's aunt, an experienced IBCLC, we overcame every obstacle and breastfed for 3 amazing years. Her passion and dedication inspired me to pay it forward and become a lactation consultant myself. For the past 4.5 years, I've been proudly serving as a CLC, and I recently sat for the IBCLC exam in April 2024. With a holistic approach to lactation support, I believe in empowering moms and reminding them that they're doing an incredible job, even when the journey gets tough. The most rewarding part of my job? Being your biggest cheerleader. Whether you're navigating shallow latches, nipple shields, or breastfeeding jaundice, I'm here to provide the tools, encouragement, and unwavering support you need to reach your breastfeeding goals. When you're feeling uncertain or overwhelmed, remember that it's okay to adjust your goals and take things one step at a time. And as for techniques, I'm a big advocate for baby-led latch – because there's nothing more incredible than witnessing the natural instincts of a newborn baby. So, if you're ready to embark on this beautiful journey of breastfeeding, I'm here to be your guide, your confidante, and your biggest supporter. Let's make magic happen, one latch at a time. Outside of work, you'll find me indulging in my love for baseball and hockey with my family, escaping into the pages of a fantasy book for some much-needed alone time, or hitting the road for some camping adventures with my closest friends.

Hi there! I'm Amanda Wilson, RN IBCLC, but you can just call me Mandy. Let me give you a glimpse into my journey and approach to lactation support. My path to becoming an IBCLC was deeply personal. After facing my own breastfeeding struggles with my first son in 2015, I realized the critical need for accessible help and support. As a Labor and Delivery nurse, I made it my mission to aid new moms with breastfeeding, often becoming the go-to person when lactation support was scarce. This passion led me to obtain my IBCLC certification in December 2021, following years of dedication in the field. With a background in both nursing and lactation support, I blend the best of both worlds in my practice. I have a holistic approach, preferring conservative options and homeopathic remedies while valuing the importance of Western medicine when needed. What drives me most in my work is witnessing the triumphs of breastfeeding families. From setting goals to achieving milestones, I find immense joy in helping mothers bond with their babies through breastfeeding. Every family is unique, and I tailor my support accordingly. By discussing specific goals and concerns, I create individualized plans to meet their needs. And when uncertainty or overwhelm arises, I offer validation, simplification, and a focus on small victories. In my practice, I believe in the power of different techniques for different situations. From co-bathing to utilizing nipple shields when necessary, I advocate for responsive parenting and safe co-sleeping while educating parents on their options. Beyond my professional role, you'll find me hitting the pavement as an avid runner. For almost 25 years, Saturday mornings have been reserved for 10+ mile runs with my running crew. As Thomas Edison wisely said, "Our greatest weakness lies in giving up. The most certain way to succeed is always just to try one more time." This quote resonates deeply with me as I continue to support and empower breastfeeding families on their journeys.

I have been preparing birthing couples since 2013. Unhappy with the support I received during my first birth, my sister encouraged me to take an independent childbirth class. My second birth was healing and my third birth was empowering. This started my passion for safe, natural when possible, and empowering birth. I have since become trained in Spinning Babies, Rebozo use during labor, Neonatal Resuscitation, and Bengkung belly binding. I have taught over 300 couples and attended dozens of births, either as doula support or as a midwife birth assistant. I am a certified breastfeeding specialist that is currently going through the process of becoming an IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant). I'm married to my best friend of 10 years and we have 3 vivacious children together. Two of those children are deaf and we enjoy learning ASL and signing together. When I'm not reading articles about birth, I can be found chasing my kids around the park or folding laundry. It’s a toss up. My birth stories are all different from each other. I believe this shapes my teaching. My first birth, I did not know about the Bradley Method®. My mother gave birth in Vietnam without drugs and her only advice was “you just do it”. Because she said she did it, I thought naturally I would be able to and did not consider learning different coping techniques. For my first birth, unable to cope with the pain, I began to hold my breath and tense up. This ultimately caused my labor to stop and I was given Pitocin and the cycle continued. I eventually was given an epidural and my son was born by vacuum extraction. My daughter, my second birth, on the other hand has a completely different birth story. I had a short, six hour labor. I firmly believe learning all the physical exercises, practicing relaxing, and knowing the best birthing positions sped up the birth and caused me to give birth with ease. I was calm and happy after giving birth. By the time the doctor arrived I had already breastfed and my daughter was sleeping peacefully. He was amazed and commented on how we as a family appeared stoic. My third birth was a quick homebirth. I was excited to practice everything I had been teaching! My husband caught our last child and we consider it our best teamwork. Both my husband and I noticed a big difference in how I felt after my last two births. Because of the vast differences in my birth experiences, I feel the need to tell every women. What better way than by becoming a Bradley instructor.

Lisa knew from a young age that she wanted to be a nurse. She graduated with her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing in Fall of 2012, from SFASU. In 2013, she started her career working for a Neuro-Oncologist in Houston who specializes in treating brain cancers. She married her husband, Brian, in 2014. After she experienced breastfeeding difficulties with her own tongue and lip tied baby her journey towards supporting breastfeeding dyads began. In 2017, She returned to work and switched fields of nursing, leaving private practice and entering into the hospital setting. She worked as a postpartum mother/baby nurse at St. Luke’s and quickly became part of the lactation team, having the privilege to enter into many families' first feeding moments and experiences with their newborns. In 2018, she gave birth to her first son, who was diagnosed with a rare congenital heart defect and who spent 1 month in the level IV NICU. During this time, she experienced exclusive pumping for the first 3 weeks until she was allowed to breastfeed him in the NICU. She continued to pump while separated until he came home, where she was able to breastfeed him. In 2020, she became pregnant with her 3rd child. During her pregnancy she obtained her CLC while working towards obtaining her IBCLC. She gave birth to her second son in the Fall of 2020. She has been a licensed IBCLC since January 2021, and later joined Bayou City Breastfeeding that Spring. Lisa has successfully breastfed all three of her children through various challenges including returning to work. More recently, she has become certified with the Child Sleep Institute after having difficulties night weaning her own 2 yr old at the time. The Child Sleep Institute has given Lisa the tools needed to help support families experiencing difficulties in their child’s sleep.

Hello, I’m Katelyn Kleiber, and I’m passionate about empowering families on their breastfeeding journey. As an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) and Registered Lactation Consultant (RLC), I’ve dedicated my career to supporting new parents and their little ones. I took a unique path to becoming an IBCLC. Unlike many others, I started working in lactation before experiencing my own breastfeeding journey. But my fascination with a woman’s incredible ability to grow and sustain life has been with me since childhood. This lifelong passion for women’s health led me to explore various avenues within the field. Then came my “aha” moment: lactation. I realized there was a significant gap in support for postpartum families, and I felt drawn to fill it. Guided by this newfound purpose, I embarked on my journey as a lactation consultant. Since July 2022, I’ve officially held the title of IBCLC. However, my journey began earlier—back in December 2021—when I worked with clients as a Certified Breastfeeding Specialist (CBS) and intern. These experiences shaped my approach to lactation support. I firmly believe that our bodies and beings are interconnected. When working with families, I consider both mother and baby as part of a system. It’s essential to address complications on both sides. But my philosophy extends beyond medical care. I create realistic, sustainable plans that preserve positive relationships around feedings. Breastfeeding isn’t just about nutrition; it’s a beautiful dance between two souls. I encourage laid-back breastfeeding, allowing families to feed without cumbersome nursing pillows. Babies can use their reflexes to their advantage, making feeding a more natural experience. At Bayou City Breastfeeding, we’ve designed a care model that allows us to continue supporting families over weeks, months, or even years. These meaningful relationships are incredibly special. Witnessing progress and positive changes during our journey together fills me with joy. Breastfeeding success isn’t a solo endeavor. Families—partners, grandparents, and all—are crucial. Their support eases the transition into life with a newborn. Together, we create a nurturing environment where everyone plays a vital role. Every family is unique. I take the time to understand their goals, challenges, and dreams. Whether it’s baby-led latch, side-lying bottle feeding, or other techniques, I tailor my recommendations to fit their specific situation. Realistic, doable plans ensure families thrive. Breastfeeding can be overwhelming. When mothers feel uncertain or stressed, I work collaborativel with the mother to identify stressors and create a personalized strategy to minimize discomfort. We’re a team, supporting each other through the ups and downs. When I’m not helping families, you’ll find me exploring the world. Traveling allows me to learn from different cultures and connect with people. I’m an avid reader, diving into books that expand my horizons. And nature—oh, how it rejuvenates my soul! Whether hiking through lush forests or strolling along sandy shores, I find solace in the great outdoors

Guided by an unwavering passion for nurturing others, Nicole embarked on a transformative journey to elevate the lives of new and expectant mothers. After earning her psychology degree from Texas A&M Corpus Christi in 2004, Nicole took the path of nursing, driven by an innate desire to make a meaningful impact. Her nursing journey crystallized at Delmar College in Corpus Christi, where she obtained her associate degree in Nursing in 2007. Stepping into various nursing roles, it was within the tender embrace of Labor and Delivery that Nicole's heart found its true home - working with new mothers. In 2011, a pivotal shift occurred as Nicole joined Hermann Memorial Southeast's newborn nursery team and postpartum unit. This marked the genesis of her journey into the realm of lactation. Beginning as a Certified Lactation Counselor, Nicole's fervor and expertise propelled her into the heart of the Lactation and Education Department in 2014. Nurturing mothers at their bedside, Nicole wove a tapestry of support that extended far beyond feeding. Her efforts championed initiatives like skin-to-skin after deliveries, promoting parent-newborn unity, and empowering nursing staff with essential breastfeeding skills. Nicole's commitment was honored with the Good Samaritan Bronze Award in both 2014 and 2016, reflecting her transformative work in the Lactation department. In 2015, she achieved a significant milestone by becoming an International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). This was paralleled by her completion of a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing (BSN) from the University of Texas, Arlington. A new chapter unfolded in 2017, as Nicole joined forces with Suzanne, Tessa, and Kyna, at Dr. James Liu, ENT's office, specializing in oral restriction diagnosis and treatment. Her role involved providing pre and post-frenotomy support, alleviating feeding challenges caused by lip and tongue-ties. Harnessing this wealth of experience, Nicole established her private practice, extending compassionate in-home lactation support across Southeast Houston. The natural progression led her to unite her private practice with Bayou City Breastfeeding, LLC in 2019, further amplifying her reach to support mothers in South and Central Houston. A dedicated board member of Houston Area Lactation Consultants and Educators (HALCEA), Nicole's community commitment reflects her unwavering dedication to making a difference. Nestled in Houston, Texas, alongside her husband and two daughters, Nicole enjoys an active life and finds solace in Pilates classes

Welcome to my corner of the internet! I'm Brandy, a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) with a passion for helping mothers and babies on their breastfeeding journey. My career in nursing began in 2006, where I initially found my calling in the labor and delivery unit. Witnessing the miracle of new life and being a part of that special moment filled me with joy and purpose. However, it was my personal experience with breastfeeding challenges that truly ignited my passion for lactation and breastfeeding support. As a mother myself, I faced hurdles and uncertainties in my breastfeeding journey that led me to dive headfirst into the world of lactation science and support. This transformative experience sparked a desire to empower and guide other mothers through their own breastfeeding challenges. Becoming an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) in January 2018 was a pivotal step in my journey, solidifying my commitment to providing evidence-based care and guidance. In late 2020, I made the decision to transition full-time into private practice, allowing me to dedicate my expertise exclusively to supporting mothers and babies in their breastfeeding endeavors. With years of hands-on experience in labor and delivery, coupled with my specialized training as an IBCLC, I bring a unique blend of medical expertise and compassionate care to every interaction. I understand the physical and emotional aspects of breastfeeding, and I am committed to providing personalized guidance tailored to each mother's individual needs. When I'm not assisting mothers and babies, my faith and family keep me grounded. I'm a proud wife and mother of two wonderful sons. My own family experiences have deepened my understanding of the complexities of parenthood and the importance of a strong support system. Thank you for visiting, and I look forward to being a part of your breastfeeding adventure.❤️
