I am a certified midwife in both Europe and the US, an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), and a Natural Family Planning coach with the Marquette Method. With over 20 years of experience in holistic birth, I’ve worked in Belgium, France, and the US, including hospitals, private practice, and Birthing Center. ​ My husband and I moved from France to Austin, Texas, in 2012 with our two eldest children, and our youngest son was born right here in Austin. Her biggest goal for postpartum support is to support growing families as the family transitions into their new roles. She provides non-judgmental support, and evidence-based education and has a diverse set of skills that will help you navigate the early weeks of parenthood. She has experience working with babies born premature, medically complex babies and high order multiples. She has experience with vaginal births, c-sections and specialized training to support VBAC. In 2014 she expanded her education and gained a Pediatric Sleep Consultant Certification. Jessica helps families create healthy sleep habits from day one. My experience with high-risk mothers & newborns has helped me see just how special the birthing experience is. Seeing couples turn into a family for the first time, or seeing siblings introduced to their new brother/sister warms my heart to no end. It’s an amazing feeling to know that a new bundle of joy has entered the world and that I had the opportunity to be a part of it! While my years working in the hospital provided great learning experiences, I realized that my passion lies with mothers and newborns in their home environment. I decided to complete my training as a Certified Postpartum Doula, and have been able to support families with lactation support, early sleep training, soothing techniques, feeding schedules and all that postpartum brings for the last two years.
