Howdy! My name is Aniya, and I am a certified faith-based birth and postpartum doula! From a young age, I felt called to support families in birth, initially dreaming of becoming a labor and delivery nurse—until a home birth video shifted everything, revealing that my true path was midwifery. Rooted in my Christian faith, I began pursuing doula certification and seeking mentorship, knowing this work was both a calling and a ministry. I’m dedicated to assisting mothers and their families through the transformative experience of childbirth. I emphasize and provide emotional, physical, and informational support to ensure a positive birthing experience. My mission is to empower mothers, promote informed decision-making, and cultivate a nurturing environment that respects individual choices and preferences. Please reach out with any questions! I look forward to connecting! Aniya! (409)474-2244 communioncare@gmail.com
I loved having Aniya as my birth doula. Not only did she make sure I felt supported leading up to birth, when I called her while in active labor. She informed me that she was wrapping up at another birth. I called at 3:30am and she made it there before my midwife and helped me to labor. My labor went FAST within the next hour I was in the tub pushing. She was such a calm presence. My midwife just barely missed it but both my husband and I felt so much better with her there. She was calm and helped my husband prepare to deliver my son without our midwife. I’m extremely grateful for the time, effort, calmness, and loss of sleep she put in to help me labor my son into the world.

I’m a proud Houston native, social worker, and the founder of Sankofa Doula and Family Services. My path into birth work was shaped by my deep passion for supporting families and my commitment to addressing the Black maternal health crisis with care that is both compassionate and culturally grounded. With a background in social work, I bring a trauma-informed lens to every family I serve—honoring the impact of systemic and generational trauma while creating safe, affirming spaces for healing and support. “Sankofa” means “go back and get it,” a reminder that we carry powerful wisdom from our past. Through full-spectrum doula care, I offer guidance and support during pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and beyond—walking alongside families as they build strength, wellness, and joy across generations. When you work with me, you’re not just supported—you’re seen, heard, and truly valued.

Hello! My name is Angela and I grew up in Houston TX, in the land of bbq and “y’all”. Im a Latino woman born and raised in Houston. My father was born in Venezuela and mother, on the Alabama Coushatta reservation near Livingston. I grew up in a large family amongst 6 siblings who taught me how important it is to take into account a plurality of perspectives and experiences. I am trained as a birth and postpartum doula through Doula Trainings International and have a wealth of information I acquired through research, education, and life experience. I believe in the popular education model, and see that education doesn't follow hierarchical pathways; it always flows in both directions. I’m also a research nerd. I believe that Doula support helps lay the groundwork for a satisfying experience. As a Full Spectrum Doula, i see the pregnant person and their loved ones as the center around which care revolves. I operate as a pillar to the family and their relationship becomes a solid foundation you can rely on providing consistency, information, and a therapeutic presence as you all navigate physical and emotional tides, and as your experience unfolds.

You deserve to walk into birth informed and walk out whole. I'm Mitsuzi—labor & delivery nurse and founder of Birthing Noire Doula Collective. I started this work because I watched too many families experience birth without truly understanding what was happening to their bodies or what their options were. Now I lead a team of certified doulas who bring both clinical knowledge and grounded, hands-on support to Houston families navigating fertility, pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. Here's what makes us different: collective care. You're matched with one primary doula, I handle your education and birth planning, and if labor extends beyond 12 hours, I step in for relief so you get fresh support when you need it most. No one burns out. You stay held. We serve families who want more than generic advice—you want real education, honest advocacy, and care that doesn't run out. We don't fold... we flow.
She is just great

Hello, I'm a queer and trans full-spectrum doula working in Houston, TX. Full-spectrum means that I am trained and experienced in supporting families through the whole range of pregnancy experiences, including trying to conceive, pregnancy, labor, postpartum, pregnancy loss, and/or abortion. All of my work is grounded in supporting folks in creating the families they want, when they want to, and how they want to. This looks like: accompanying you through the many decision points in your pregnancy and parenting journey, providing emotional and logistical care throughout this time of great transformation, and making sure you are connected to the resources you need to make the best decisions for yourself and your family.
Chloe supported me and my family in our postpartum phase, almost immediately after birth and for several months. Their support was instrumental for my recovery as a birthing parent, with two small children (2 and 5 years old). They stepped in with care, reliability, adaptability, and a steady, calm presence that was grounding for us all in a moment of natural instability with so many shifts and changes for our family. Chloe was able to coordinate with my partner about what was most needed each day they were over, which was daily for the first two weeks. They took turns between childcare, for my older children, and helping care for me, and my newborn. I trusted Chloe deeply, and they witnessed me in deeply tender, vulnerable moments, offering me nutritious yummy food to eat, and an open heart as I went through the highs and lows of my postpartum season. They came in with so much love, respect, and reverence, but not "just" that, they also brought with them many skills in caregiving during postpartum, and caregiving of babies and small children. We are all very grateful to Chloe and the gifts of care they brought us through a much important (extended) moment in our family. As a birthing parent, I felt deeply held by them. As a parent of littles, I felt trusting of their interactions with my children. As a partner, I felt appreciation for how they actively considered my partner's needs, too. I wish Chloe could've been a part of my previous postpartum seasons, too! And I am glad they will continue to share their gifts with birthers and their families through these delicate, sacred moments of reproductive events (and all their possible outcomes!).

Hello! My name is Shala and I’m a birth and postpartum doula in Houston, TX. I run my business and center my birth philosophy on three main principles: empathy, autonomy, and authenticity. Every Well Rooted Doula client has the right to self determination and is supported in creating the birth that they see fit. I believe in the body’s innate ability to birth and encourage clients to listen to and trust the signals their body sends them before, during, and after birth. Additionally, I believe that it’s my duty to help clients advocate for their birthing visions, wherever and however they take place. Clients are welcomed and celebrated regardless of race, socioeconomic status, nationality, sexuality, religion, or gender identity, etc. I want to support you in having a happy and joyful birth and postpartum period! To do so, I employ active listening, critical thinking, and work to create opportunities for feedback.
Shala is fantastic! She has helped me complete a birthing plan and questions to ask my provider. She very calming and knowledgeable. I can’t wait for her to be my guide and support while I give birth! She has made sure my partner is included in the journey and is open to answering all of our questions. Highly recommend her services!

Caring for babies and supporting new families has always been a real part of who I am. Before I ever earned certifications, I was already the person everyone trusted with their newborns, toddlers, and the most sensitive moments of early parenting. Becoming a Certified Newborn Care Specialist and Postpartum Doula simply helped me put skill and structure behind something that has always come naturally to me. I understand how overwhelming the newborn stage can feel from the exhaustion, the learning curve, the emotions that come with healing and adjusting and my goal is to bring calm, confidence, and comfort into a family’s home. I take my time learning each baby’s unique cues and each mother’s individual needs so I can support both in a gentle, respectful, and compassionate way. i believe every family deserves to feel supported, every baby deserves to feel safe, and every mother deserves to be cared for during one of the most important transitions of her life. I believe in nurturing the whole family, not just the newborn, by creating peaceful routines, offering evidence based guidance, and providing help that feels loving rather than intrusive. Whether I’m assisting with nighttime care, helping a mom rest and recover, supporting feeding goals, or creating a comfortable rhythm in the home, I show up with patience, kindness, and understanding. My intention is always the same to make those early days feel lighter, to help parents feel more confident, and to leave families feeling stronger than when I arrived.
I don’t even know where to begin. She came into my life at a time when I was drained, overwhelmed, and struggling as a single mom to newborn twins. From the moment she walked in she brought comfort, calm, and genuine care. She took care of my babies overnight so I could finally sleep and I woke up feeling refreshed for the first time in weeks!! She even brought me a light breakfast before she left something so simple yet it meant everything! She was truly heavensent, sweet compassionate, and unbelievably reliable. I honestly wished she could have stayed with us forever. I’m so grateful our paths crossed because I didn’t just receive help I gained a true friend anyone would be blessed to have her care for their family.

Greetings Family, my name is Brianna Nichelle and I am a Full Spectrum Holistic Doula, Holistic Wellness Shop Owner, Certified Yoga Instructor, Lactation Educator, PAIL (Pregnancy and Infant Loss) Advocate (Trainer) and Fertility Advocate servicing Brazoria County and Houston communities. I have been supporting moms along their pregnancy, delivery and postpartum journeys since 2012. I have personally experienced hospital and home births, and I support both plus VBAC births.
I contracted Brianna for postpartum doula services and found her to be a highly skilled and kind provider. Brianna helped me with light chores around the house and emotional support as I navigated the complexities of having a baby in the NICU. She is very knowledgeable, compassionate, and willing to work with you to make the most of your time working together. Brianna is also an excellent Yoga instructor and kindly showed me some stretches I could do safely even after having a complicated postpartum recovery. I highly recommend her as a doula without reservations!
