About me

Hello! My name is Angela and I grew up in Houston TX, in the land of bbq and “y’all”. Im a Latino woman born and raised in Houston. My father was born in Venezuela and mother, on the Alabama Coushatta reservation near Livingston. I grew up in a large family amongst 6 siblings who taught me how important it is to take into account a plurality of perspectives and experiences. I am trained as a birth and postpartum doula through Doula Trainings International and have a wealth of information I acquired through research, education, and life experience. I believe in the popular education model, and see that education doesn't follow hierarchical pathways; it always flows in both directions. I’m also a research nerd. I believe that Doula support helps lay the groundwork for a satisfying experience. As a Full Spectrum Doula, i see the pregnant person and their loved ones as the center around which care revolves. I operate as a pillar to the family and their relationship becomes a solid foundation you can rely on providing consistency, information, and a therapeutic presence as you all navigate physical and emotional tides, and as your experience unfolds.
