Hi! I'm a postpartum doula building on a lifetime of loving babies and littles. Beginning with babysitting as a young teen, my fascination with and delight in tiny humans has fueled much of my volunteer and ministry work over the years. Now that I'm mom to 3 pretty incredible young adults, I was thrilled to find the field of postpartum doula work that is such a natural fit! I did my CAPPA training in May 2024, and completed the certification process in June 2025. What a gift and honor it is to be invited into a client’s home and to support and encourage new families as they make the transition to adding a new little person to their mix! Remembering so well how it feels to be a new mom, I love to help make life as easy as I can during this sweet and exhausting time! Cedar Park has been home for 11 years. Outside of my doula work, I'm cheering on my kids' various activities, having a great meal with my husband, or curled up with a good book.

Tara worked with us as a postpartum doula for our newborn baby earlier this year (2025) for around 2 months. I would highly recommend Tara as your postpartum doula. The reasons for my recommendation are as follows: 1. Tara is a very good doula. She is knowledgeable, experienced, and she genuinely loves caring for babies. She is evidence-based in her approaches, and she is a good teacher too -- she always explains her methods and ideas in a very clear manner. For example, she taught us about baby sleep cycles and how to tell which phase the baby is in. This practical knowledge really helped us understand our baby's sleep patterns. 2. Tara is very professional and always courteous. She is very polite, and has a warm personality. It is very easy to talk to Tara, from baby related topics to interesting experiences in life, and everything in between. 3. Tara is a trustworthy person. When Tara worked with us, I always felt very comfortable leaving my baby with Tara. I know that my baby will be in good hands, and that gives me peace of mind, and I can focus on running errands or getting some sleep. I highly recommend Tara to any family seeking caring, professional postpartum support.

Hi! My name is Annie Miller, I apprenticed under an elder doula in my area and have attended 14 births in the last 8 months. I believe that birth is sacred and the mother knows what’s best for her and the baby. I would be honored to support you and your family.

Annie was an incredible support before, during, and after my birth! She met with my husband and I several times before my birth and ensured that we had the opportunity to share our desires and vision for the birth experience. She is empathetic and encouraging and always positive while also being realistic. She was the first member of my birth team we called when I went into labor and she came to our house promptly even though it was the middle of the night. From the minute she answered the phone I felt her calm and steady support. Once she arrived, she immediately jumped into action to support me with both verbal affirmations and hands-on work like hip squeezes and reminders to keep my muscles relaxed. She also encouraged my husband in his support of me and deftly gave him suggestions when he was unsure. (As this was our first baby, this was very reassuring for him, as neither he nor I had experienced birth before.) All throughout my long labor, Annie remained a stable, reassuring presence who helped me stay in the zone and always affirmed that I was strong and capable and was going to meet my baby soon! She and my husband were extremely hands on through the end of my pushing phase. Annie helped me get into different positions and used strategies to help me push more effectively. After my baby was born, Annie helped me to recover and clean up. She made me feel strong and beautiful as I came back to myself following birth. Throughout the whole birth, Annie was a great support and presence in encouraging me and jumping in without hesitation to help in whatever way she could. I highly recommend her as a doula!

In Austin area hospitals, overstretched staff means nurses often juggle two patients at once and rarely have time for real hands-on support—especially if you’re planning an unmedicated birth. Continuous comfort, encouragement, and guidance often just aren’t possible in this busy setting. With your doula by your side (also a trained midwife), you receive continuous attention, advocacy, and expert care, even when hospital staff are pulled in every direction. Don’t face an Austin hospital birth alone - with your doula by your side, you won’t be just another patient waiting for help on one of the biggest days of your life. View my full package options here - https://www.tracydonegan.org/doula A positive birth looks different for everyone, and how you feel about your birth matters most. I’m a former hospital-based midwife from Ireland with over 12 years of experience training doulas and supporting families through all types of births. I offer compassionate, evidence-based care with a special focus on maternal mental health and emotional well-being. As a practicing Catholic mother, I provide respectful, faith-sensitive support for families who wish to honor their spiritual values during pregnancy and birth. Whether that includes prayer, sacred intention, or simply having someone who shares your worldview, I’m here to support you. I’m also the author of several books on pregnancy and breastfeeding and the founder of two internationally used pregnancy apps. I’d be honored to support your growing family. Looking forward to learning about how I can support you during this important time in your life. Tracy

We used a service for nighttime support with our second child and that’s when I got to meet Christina. She used to support us during evening and night shifts and I would recommend her for parents who need the extra support for both baby and mom. She goes above and beyond to help with things like meal prep, organizing, baby laundry, baby baths, cleaning breast pumps and bottles and a few more things. Her baby swaddling techniques were the BEST I’ve seen thus far. Christina is very compassionate and I am beyond grateful for having her help us tremendously through the first few weeks postpartum! 💖

Hello my name is Nia, I was introduced to the wonderful world of birth work during my sister’s pregnancy. As I was helping the practitioner, she hinted at the fact that she was a Doula. Adding, that I would do well in that field due to my caring nature. After more research, I began seeing the need for this service and fell in love with this industry. In 2019, I became a Dona trained Birth Doula, obtained certifications in: Newborn Care Specialist (NCS), Postpartum Doula(PPD), Basic Life Support(BLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), CPR, First Aid and trained in Benkung Belly Binding. I’ve had the pleasure of supporting parents with their newborns days and nights, provided care for families across states, families with multiples, parents with disabilities and supported births in both hospitals and birth centers. I’ve learned to be more understanding, open to new ideas and sensitive in different situations. It’s everything I thought it would be and more. I still find the time to be a supportive wife to my husband, homeschool my son, sing , brush up on my Spanish even play Pickle ball. I hope to support as many families as I can while enjoying this adventure, looking forward to being apart of your families’ journey!

Working with Nia was truly an amazing experience. She made sure to include my husband throughout the entire process, which helped us feel connected and confident as a team. She guided us through so many helpful exercises and took the time to teach me and physically show me different labor positions that made my experience feel more manageable and empowering. Her knowledge, calm presence, and ability to explain things clearly made a huge difference during my labor. I trusted her so much that I didn’t hesitate to hire her again for my second birth. Nia is truly incredible to work with, and I’m so grateful for the support she provided our family.

Howdy! I’m so glad you’re here! Birth and postpartum are some of the most vulnerable times in someone’s life and if we work together I’m likely going to see you naked to some degree, so it’s only fair you know about me too! I grew up in the Dallas area and have been in Austin since 2014. I came for college and south Austin has always been my home. I was a nanny for a family while I was working on my undergraduate degree in social work with minors in psychology and women & gender studies - they introduced me to what a doula was. I am one of the lucky people on this planet who has truly found their calling and can honestly say they love their job. I’m also a Licensed Social Worker in both Texas and Colorado and focused my studies in graduate school on perinatal mental health and mood disorders and the mind-body connection of somatic therapy. I believe the birth of a child, and rebirth of humans in the transition to becoming a parent, are sacred and beautiful experiences. Knowing birth is strenuous on the physical body as well as requiring an immense amount of mental strength, I bring in knowledge from regulating your central nervous system while still focusing on mind-body-soul-connection. Having a strong support to provide knowledge, hold space, and honor the process is key, and what I love most about birthwork. I am also passionate about the postpartum period to help families navigate the transitions of a new parental identity, preparing parent’s relationship for changes, caring for themselves, and setting up realistic expectations for what the future will bring. I come into the birthing space with no judgment, and am fully present for whatever decisions you make during this process. You can catch me around Austin climbing rocks, crocheting at Barton Springs, reading at West China Tea Company, and traveling with my partner, Haley, and our 2 dogs, Norman and Elio. I look forward to working in community with you!

Hi I'm Kyndal! A dedicated postpartum doula and newborn care specialist with 8 years of experience working with infants. I began my journey as a nanny, and throughout my career, I primarily supported first-time parents. Over time, I fell in love not just with caring for babies, but also with holding space for new moms—offering gentle guidance, emotional support, and education during those tender early stages of parenthood. My goal is to empower you with confidence and knowledge, support your emotional and physical well-being, and be a trusted part of your village—whether this is your first child or your fourth. I offer both practical and emotional support. Whether that means helping your baby establish healthy sleep habits, stepping in so you can recharge after a long day juggling your toddler and newborn, or taking care of light household chores like dishes or laundry—I’m here to lighten the load. I meet you where you are, offering non-judgmental, sustainable care tailored to your unique family so you can continue to thrive even after my time with you comes to an end. When I’m not supporting families, you can usually find me reading or writing in a cozy coffee shop (always with breakfast tacos nearby) or relaxing at home with my rescue pups.

Martha Escudero

25 years of experience

Hello, my name is Martha J. I am a Certified Postpartum Doula and Newborn Care Specialist (NCS) with over 24 years of hands-on experience supporting families since 2000. I am deeply drawn to this work because I value the family environment and the critical role of care during the earliest days after birth. I provide emotional and practical support to parents both individually and as a couple, helping them navigate the transition with confidence and calm. Supporting mothers during the first weeks postpartum is a true calling for me. Caring for the newborn while parents recover from the long, demanding hours of labor, whether in a hospital setting or following a home birth, is work I find meaningful. I am experienced in breastfeeding support, including baby latching, milk production, expression, safe milk storage, and bottle feeding. I closely monitor the baby’s well-being, bringing the baby to the mother for feedings, changing diapers, swaddling, and supporting healthy sleep routines. I maintain clear daily communication with parents regarding their baby’s care and development. Additional responsibilities include washing pump accessories and bottles, wipes and diapers, diaper cream, etc., refills, light nursery tidying, and newborn laundry. My goal is to create a stable, supportive environment in which both parents and baby can rest, recover, and bond.
