I am Rebecca a mother of 6. I am a Childbirth teacher for the last 11 years and a Doula for 10. I have always taken a natural approach to things. As I have studied and learned more, I have made changes to my life and the way I do things. I became a Bradley teacher and started Doula Training and continued to expand my education shortly after. It fit nicely with my husband's Bowen Therapy, so we decided to work together helping others with all the things we struggled with and needed help with as parents. Every service I offer is something I needed in my life as a parent and had to piece together from multiple people and professionals. i want to make the community better and hopefully that will ripple outward and change other's lives too. I struggled to be able to afford my Bradley classes and Doula so I decided to make all my services as cost effective as I could for my clients.

My name is Sophie Perkins and I grew up in Kerrville, TX. I have been practicing as a doula since 2020, and I have fallen in love with this work. I have no children of my own, but my wonderful girlfriend and I have plans to expand our family. While I hope to be able to carry a child, we are very excited about the prospect of adopting or fostering children! My hobbies include spending time with my partner and pets, renovating our home, and reading. In 2016, a friend of mine got pregnant and hired a doula. Hearing her birth story was such a privilege and an eye opening experience! As the months passed, she shared with me honestly what it was like being a new mom–the sleep deprivation, confusion, visceral joy and love of having a child. I felt so honored that she would trust me, and I was inspired to find my place beside families as they welcome new children. I looked into doula work and was hooked immediately. Hi, my name is Alaya, owner of Lay Naturals. After experiencing womb complications of my own including PCOS, I turned to contraception for help only to find out later that it caused my womb issues to worsen. Eager to heal my womb, I switched over to a holistic lifestyle, changing my diet and studying herbalism. I reversed my womb issues and became passionate to help other women take back their power and heal their wombs. I am now a certified doula assisting women in every stage on their journey to motherhood including fertility, conception, pregnancy, birth and postpartum. I'm a mom of 4 & Nana of 1, married to my soulmate for almost 24 years. Proud to be an Air Force veteran, I was Active duty when my first was born. Her birth was eye opening... and the reason I sought out different options for my second birth. My second was the first of 3 redeeming and beautiful home births, and that experience is what ignited my passion for birth. I wanted to be a midwife for several years but that wasn't in the cards. It was years later, shortly after making the move to pursue photography, that I found my passion in birth photography. From there, my desire to support and encourage birthing families only grew, and I sought out certification as a doula. Obviously I love being there when a sweet little soul makes its debut. It's more than that though! As a birth worker, I have the honor and privilege of witnessing transformations. That realization that they are able, that they are doing it, that they are about to meet their long awaited babies... that they CAN do hard things. That moment is worth the sleepless nights, sore muscles, and changed plans. That moment of empowerment and transformation brings a tear to my eyes. It never gets old. I specialize in documenting birth in photos and films as well as supporting through labor and birth. My passion is seeing each birthing family know their options, understand the pros & cons of each, and making informed choices that support the birth they want. I strive to document those stories (for those clients that desire documentation) to provide a record of that love story as it unfolds.
