Madison Lorg

5 years of experience

Hello! I'm Madison, I'm a trained Birth and Postpartum Doula; I am located in San Antonio and serve all of San Antonio and the surrounding communities. I'm passionate about supporting families through one of the most transformative experiences of their lives: childbirth. As a doula, I provide comprehensive support to expectant mothers and their partners before, during, and after childbirth, including invaluable postpartum care. My journey into doula work began after I had my 3rd child and had the amazing opportunity to have a doula for her birth. It made such a difference in my birth experience and helped me avoid having another traumatic birthing experience. Since then, I've dedicated myself to empowering birthing individuals to make informed decisions about their care and to advocate for their birth preferences. I specialize in military family births and postpartum because I was a military spouse and know the hardships that come along with it. In addition to offering emotional and physical support during labor, I also specialize in postpartum care, recognizing the importance of nurturing and assisting families in the delicate weeks following childbirth. From providing breastfeeding support and assisting with newborn care to offering practical assistance with household tasks, I aim to ease the transition into parenthood and ensure that families feel supported and cared for during this vulnerable time. I believe that postpartum support is just as vital as prenatal and birth support, and I'm committed to providing compassionate care that honors the unique needs of each family. Whether you're navigating the challenges of breastfeeding, struggling with postpartum mood disorders, or simply in need of a listening ear and a helping hand, I'm here to offer nonjudgmental support and guidance every step of the way. If you're interested in learning more about how I can support you during your pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum journey, please don't hesitate to reach out. I would be honored to be a part of your birthing team.

Hello my name is Nia, I was introduced to the wonderful world of birth work during my sister’s pregnancy. As I was helping the practitioner, she hinted at the fact that she was a Doula. Adding, that I would do well in that field due to my caring nature. After more research, I began seeing the need for this service and fell in love with this industry. In 2019, I became a Dona trained Birth Doula, obtained certifications in: Newborn Care Specialist (NCS), Postpartum Doula(PPD), Basic Life Support(BLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), CPR, First Aid and trained in Benkung Belly Binding. I’ve had the pleasure of supporting parents with their newborns days and nights, provided care for families across states, families with multiples, parents with disabilities and supported births in both hospitals and birth centers. I’ve learned to be more understanding, open to new ideas and sensitive in different situations. It’s everything I thought it would be and more. I still find the time to be a supportive wife to my husband, homeschool my son, sing , brush up on my Spanish even play Pickle ball. I hope to support as many families as I can while enjoying this adventure, looking forward to being apart of your families’ journey!

am so grateful to have had Nia as my doula. Going into this birth, my goal was a VBAC, and while I didn’t end up with the exact birth I had dreamed of, Nia made sure the experience was as close to it as possible. From the very beginning, she truly listened to me and understood what mattered most. During labor, she was a calm, grounding presence and an incredible advocate—making sure my voice was heard, my preferences were respected, and that I was comfortable every step of the way. She knew when to step in, when to speak up for me, and when to simply offer quiet reassurance. Her knowledge, confidence, and compassion made a huge difference in how safe and supported I felt. Even when plans changed, I never felt alone or rushed; I felt cared for and empowered. Nia supported not just me, but my partner as well, helping us feel informed and confident throughout the process. If you are looking for a doula who will advocate fiercely for you, honor your birth goals, and support you with kindness and strength, I cannot recommend Nia enough. She made a challenging experience feel deeply supported and meaningful, and I will always be thankful for that.

I became a birth doula because I am in awe of the strength and wisdom of women. It is an honor to help you tune into the wisdom of your body, and to support your family as they learn how to support you. I help you find your breath when things get big. I remind your partner how to hold you. I help create a quiet, womb-like space—dim lights, soft sounds, warm water, and anything else that helps you feel safe, grounded, and undisturbed. I attend home births, birth centers, and hospital births. Wherever you feel safe is the right place to have your baby. My job is to help regulate the space, so that you can surrender. I offer peace of mind, solid education, and steady presence so you can meet this experience with courage. My care is personalized and client-led. I follow your rhythm. My approach is grounded in the belief that women already have everything they need within them to safely and instinctively bring their babies into the world. Whether this is your first baby or your sixth, your birth matters. Each one is a new journey, a new chance to grow and expand and meet yourself in a whole new way.

Hannah is a fantastic doula! She has so much information to share in the prenatal appointments that made me feel that much more prepared. She was present during my long labor - day and night - and offered so much support to me and my husband during the process. And her helping hand during my postpartum period was much appreciated as well. I'm so glad she was a part of my birth experience and wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to anyone looking for a kind, caring, and dutiful doula.

Hi! My name is Annie Miller, I apprenticed under an elder doula in my area and have attended 14 births in the last 8 months. I believe that birth is sacred and the mother knows what’s best for her and the baby. I would be honored to support you and your family.

Annie was an incredible support before, during, and after my birth! She met with my husband and I several times before my birth and ensured that we had the opportunity to share our desires and vision for the birth experience. She is empathetic and encouraging and always positive while also being realistic. She was the first member of my birth team we called when I went into labor and she came to our house promptly even though it was the middle of the night. From the minute she answered the phone I felt her calm and steady support. Once she arrived, she immediately jumped into action to support me with both verbal affirmations and hands-on work like hip squeezes and reminders to keep my muscles relaxed. She also encouraged my husband in his support of me and deftly gave him suggestions when he was unsure. (As this was our first baby, this was very reassuring for him, as neither he nor I had experienced birth before.) All throughout my long labor, Annie remained a stable, reassuring presence who helped me stay in the zone and always affirmed that I was strong and capable and was going to meet my baby soon! She and my husband were extremely hands on through the end of my pushing phase. Annie helped me get into different positions and used strategies to help me push more effectively. After my baby was born, Annie helped me to recover and clean up. She made me feel strong and beautiful as I came back to myself following birth. Throughout the whole birth, Annie was a great support and presence in encouraging me and jumping in without hesitation to help in whatever way she could. I highly recommend her as a doula!
