While my years working in the hospital provided great learning experiences, I realized that my passion lies with mothers and newborns in their home environment. Hello my name is Nia, I was introduced to the wonderful world of birth work during my sister’s pregnancy. As I was helping the practitioner, she hinted at the fact that she was a Doula. Adding, that I would do well in that field due to my caring nature. After more research, I began seeing the need for this service and fell in love with this industry. In 2019, I became a Dona trained Birth Doula, obtained certifications in: Newborn Care Specialist (NCS), Postpartum Doula(PPD), Basic Life Support(BLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), CPR, First Aid and trained in Benkung Belly Binding.
