Hello, I'm a queer and trans full-spectrum doula working in Houston, TX. Full-spectrum means that I am trained and experienced in supporting families through the whole range of pregnancy experiences, including trying to conceive, pregnancy, labor, postpartum, pregnancy loss, and/or abortion. All of my work is grounded in supporting folks in creating the families they want, when they want to, and how they want to. We didn’t know we needed Chloe until we met her. It wasn’t until very late into my pregnancy, sometime around week 38, that we reached out to her for post-partum doula services and she was very flexible in accommodating us. As soon as we met her, we knew she was the person who would be now part of our journey as first-time parents. She was caring, attentive, listened to our concerns, and graciously supported us through every transition. I had a complicated delivery and recovery, and her calming and reassuring presence allowed me to heal as my husband and I learned how to care for our newborn. She was very flexible in creating a schedule that adapted to our needs week by week, and always brought nourishing food, sometimes bringing extra for other family members. Looking back, the early weeks of post-partum were extremely difficult mentally and physically since I had undergone a C-section, but her support was essential in getting us organized, learning how to prepare bottles, showing us positions to feed the baby, techniques for soothing, how to baby-wear, how to handle visitors and protect our boundaries, guiding my husband on how to be a helpful partner, and even be a crying shoulder when things got tough. Beyond being a doula, she’s also helped us with some babysitting now that our baby is older. It is comforting to know that our baby is cared for by someone who met our baby from birth and was familiar with our home dynamics. Hands down, she is our #1 option when we need someone to take care of our baby so we can have time for self care - which is also something she emphasized since day 1. If this was a voice message, it would consist of 10-15 minutes of nothing but good stories and praises for her - so this is our short and sweet version. We cannot recommend Chloe enough as a doula. She’s the best!

Hanna was my doula for the birth of my second child and I can’t say enough good things about her. She took the time to listen to my history, my goals, anxieties/worries, as well as my expectations of her as my doula. During our meetings, she always provided lots of helpful information regarding exercises that can help my discomforts during pregnancy, meditation, labor positions, ways my husband can help me throughout pregnancy as well as during contractions, etc. All of this helped me prepare mentally, physically and emotionally for the big day. Most importantly, her calm and grounding presence and the emotional support she provided during labor was so helpful in keeping me and my husband stay focused and motivated while feeling safe and supported. Thanks to Hanna, I had a very positive birth experience and I was able to give birth to a healthy baby girl! She continues to follow up with me regarding breastfeeding which is helpful. Hanna truly cares about her clients I would without a doubt recommend her to anyone looking for a doula!

I honestly don't think that I would have had a VBA2C without Sara-Rene's support. She was so encouraging, knowledgeable, and empowering. I doubted myself so many times and she was always there to listen and gave me the space to make my own decisions. She is calm and was just the right person I needed in my corner. From the beginning she said that my birth would be pretty fast. Having had two previous long labors that resulted in c-sections, I didn't think that would be the case. Much to my surprise, my birth was fast and furious and she jumped straight in to respectfully advocate for me at the hospital and help me cope with the pain. I am so thankful that we decided to hire Sara-Rene and I will forever be thankful for her role in the birth of my last baby.

I am a birth and postpartum doula, NICU mom, and a military wife, whose passion for this work was shaped by my own early motherhood experience. I had my first baby halfway across the country during COVID, farm from family and community. That season taught me how powerful it is to feel truly supported, and it became the foundation for the way I show up for other families. I have had the honor of supporting friends and families through both home births and hospital births, and I love walking alongside parents through the many different paths birth birth can take, with a professional foundation in Kinesiology, I understand deeply how the body functions in pregnancy and birth, and how movement and positioning support physiological labor and how to help reduce strain and injury during this transformative process. I blend evidence based education with holistic, intuitive care to offer support that is both grounded and nurturing. At the heart of my work is a simple intention. I show up for mothers the way I would want someone to show up for my daughter one day. With warmth, compassion, and a steady presence, my hope is that every family I support feels seen, held, and never alone as they step into parenthood.

Highly recommend hiring Courtney as your doula. Our doula we initially hired had an emergency so we ended up having Courtney as our backup doula and she did not disappoint! We were a little nervous having a backup doula and somebody we’ve never met but Courtney was so personable, very easy going and very much was prepared for our birth plan and things we discussed with our doula prior to going into labor. Courtney was very encouraging, supportive and really helped my husband and I during such an intense and vulnerable experience. Thank you Courtney for what you do! It’s very clear that she loves what she does and it translates into working with her clients.

I contacted Monisha through Bornbir when I was 36 weeks pregnant. After speaking with her I knew that she was the doula for me. She was very informative and helpful and the initial conversation was like I was talking to someone I already knew. She came over and helped my husband and I through exercises and techniques for pain management prior to labor and answered all of the questions that we had. My goal was to have a natural birth with no medication and she helped tremendously in accomplishing that goal. I could not have done it without her. She also helped tremendously with postpartum assistance with the baby when my husband needed to go back to work. She even did my hair! I couldn’t imagine a better experience.

Zaira was such a blessing to our family. My husband and I tell everyone she was worth every penny and more. She gave us so much confidence going into the delivery of our son and we never felt alone. She went above and beyond during the entire team process and even still checks in on our son. The first time we met Zaira she drove all the way to our house (a long drive for her) and before she did anything else she prayed with us in our living room. We knew from that point on she was who we would choose as our doula. She was not only there for me and my questions, she gave assurance to my husband as well and equipped him to be the best partner throughout our delivery. From prenatal visits, to random texts, delivery, and even postpartum Zaira looked after our every need. I highly recommend her to anyone looking.

I adore working with my moms and helping create an environment where they feel empowered & in charge of their pregnancy and labor. I believe education removes fear, and I love getting to walk alongside of my moms and families throughout pregnancy and labor answering questions, being an advocate, supporting them mentally, physically, emotionally, and being a place where they can feel comfortable enough to embrace the new chapter. I truly love what I do and would love to discuss any questions you may have about services I offer. Whether you’re a first time mom or an experienced mother who just wants a different experience, I would love to be here for you & to support you through such a milestone of life. This time is all about rest, nourishment, and recovery. I am here to make sure that you are taken care of, your house is in order, and you and your little baby are bonding! Aniya was a hugeeee blessing to my husband and I! I wouldn’t been able to make it through labor without her. She was a calm presence in the room and manually helped me through my contractions by using counter pressure on my hips. Highly recommend her if you’re looking for someone who is very thorough in the process leading up to your delivery and if you’re wanting a peaceful person in the room with you!

Laura is absolutely amazing! I was a little late to the process of finding a doula, but I am so incredibly grateful for her flexibility, support, and guidance throughout my preparation for birth. Once I went into labor, Laura consistently checked in with me and my family until she was able to arrive at the hospital. When she arrived, I was asleep, but she immediately jumped in—introducing herself to my family, getting up to date on my progress, and building a wonderful rapport with everyone. Throughout my labor, Laura was such a calming and supportive presence. She helped me relax with essential oils, light hand massages, and breathing exercises. She worked alongside my nurse to help me change positions, supported me through contractions, counted with me during pushing, and even held my leg up while I delivered my daughter. She was truly there for me every step of the way. After my daughter was born, Laura also helped me with breastfeeding and getting my daughter to latch. Her support didn’t stop after we left the hospital. In the days and weeks following my birth, she continued checking in on me and my family, making sure we were doing okay and even providing additional resources when needed. I am so grateful to have had Laura by my side during such an important and emotional time in my life. She made me feel supported, cared for, and never alone. I would absolutely recommend her to any expecting mother looking for a compassionate and dedicated doula!
