I’m a proud Houston native, social worker, and the founder of Sankofa Doula and Family Services. My path into birth work was shaped by my deep passion for supporting families and my commitment to addressing the Black maternal health crisis with care that is both compassionate and culturally grounded. With a background in social work, I bring a trauma-informed lens to every family I serve—honoring the impact of systemic and generational trauma while creating safe, affirming spaces for healing and support. “Sankofa” means “go back and get it,” a reminder that we carry powerful wisdom from our past. Through full-spectrum doula care, I offer guidance and support during pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and beyond—walking alongside families as they build strength, wellness, and joy across generations. When you work with me, you’re not just supported—you’re seen, heard, and truly valued.
