Hiring Kim was one of the best decisions we made while I was pregnant! We initially hesitated on hiring a doula since I wouldn’t be getting maternity pay for very long (and babies are expensive!), but looking back it’s hard to imagine Kim not being a part of our birth.
My husband and I moved to College Station less than a year ago. While my family was planning on traveling to see us from out of state the week of our due date, baby decided to arrive 3 weeks early! Kim supported me through some arduous pitocin contractions, helped us advocate for our wishes, and kept my husband hydrated, caffeinated, and fed, which enabled him to best support me. Before the more painful contractions started my husband was even able to run home to grab more hospital bag items and let our dog out, and I’m so happy Kim was there with me so I didn’t have to be on my own as there were quite a few unexpected decisions to make due to the early arrival.
I would recommend Kim in a heartbeat! She’s also a great massage therapist. Baby’s early arrival thwarted me scheduling another prenatal massage — will have to schedule a postpartum one soon :)

This woman is incredible. I don’t even know where to begin with Kim. If you are on the fence about having a doula at your birth, please let this be your sign to seriously consider it! I cannot imagine my pregnancy and birth experience without her. Kim helped us make informed decisions about our birth plan, walked us through comfort measures and labor positions, was available at ALL hours to answer questions about funky pregnancy symptoms (bless her)… and when it was go-time, she was a total godsend. I still remember the relief I felt when she met us at the hospital as contractions picked up.
Without her encouragement and physical help (the BEST at hip squeezes and counter pressure) I’m not sure how my birth experience would have been. She’s a bold advocate and a loyal friend. Also - Kim loves the Lord, and I truly value her prayerful approach.
One thing is for sure, I will definitely have Kim at my next birth. I just can’t imagine doing it without her.
And just look at this squishy babe she helped bring into the world - and without an epidural!
P.S. She also gives amazing prenatal massages that helped me to stay relaxed through that third trimester. 10/10 would recommend.

I truly can’t recommend Kim enough. I went into my second pregnancy knowing I wanted an unmedicated VBAC in the hospital, and the highest odds of that happening were if I had a doula to support me and my husband. The two of them together were truly the best birth team. Kim comes in with so much knowledge but also a sense of peace and calming about her. She was available for all of my random pregnancy questions and a rock throughout my 14 hour birth. My husband also had only positive things to say. He said, he couldn’t imagine her not being there. She provided so much guidance and support that helped him support me bringing our daughter into the world.

I cannot say enough good things about Kim! She was my doula for my recent birth and was everything I needed (and more). She kept me calm in a moment when I wanted to give up, worked AMAZING with my midwife, and helped me get the birth experience I wanted. She was with me all day, supported my decisions, was attentive to what I needed (even before I knew I needed it) and most importantly listened to what I wanted. For the birth of my second son, I wanted to deliver my baby without an epidural. I felt like having someone coach me through it, was my best shot since my husband obviously doesn’t like seeing me in pain and would definitely cave 😂.
From the first time I met Kim, I knew she would be an amazing coach! I also purchased a prenatal massage package from her and it was such help for the end of my pregnancy!
During my labor at home, Kim was so communicative and quick to get to the hospital! And during the birth, she gave me all the encouragement I needed to successfully deliver my son without medical intervention. If I were to have another baby- I would definitely use Kim’s services again! And would probably add some postpartum support from Kim as well! Cannot say enough great things about Kim!

One of the best decisions we made was hiring Kim as our doula for the birth of our 4th baby. Even as “seasoned” parents who have been through 3 other births, having Kim there this time around helped us in so many ways. She assisted us in making a birth plan & made sure that the staff at the hospital honored our wishes. So many times during my labor process, I was looking to Kim for support, both physically and emotionally. Physically, as I endured contractions, she was there to coach me on ways to help alleviate the pain, using techniques to comfort me, all while encouraging me that I could endure it. Emotionally, when I didn’t feel right about something, I looked to her & she would remind me of things I wanted & helped “keep me on track.” Not to mention that her being there also helped put my husband at ease as well.
