I’m a little late to writing this review since I had my baby in December 2025, but I’ve been meaning to share how amazing my experience with Christina Buchanan was! My first birth was in a hospital, and I remember feeling like I didn’t really have much say in the decisions being made. Having Christina as my midwife was such a completely different experience. She really believes in moms making their own choices, while still giving you honest, knowledgeable advice and making sure you feel confident in those choices. I always felt heard, respected, and supported. I gave birth in my living room, and the whole experience was honestly so empowering. Christina’s bedside manner is incredible, and I felt so comfortable and safe with her there. One thing that still amazes me is that within two hours of giving birth, my house was completely spotless. You honestly would have had no idea a baby had just been born in my living room! She was so respectful of my home and just took care of everything. After having both a hospital birth and a home birth, I can confidently say I would choose a home birth with Christina again in a heartbeat. She made the entire experience so positive and empowering, and I’m so thankful I found her. Christina is truly the best, and I would recommend her to anyone considering a home birth.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about my midwife Christina!! She gave me the best, best, BEST VBAC birth experience I could have ever hoped for. From the very beginning she made me feel confident in my ability to have the birth I wanted. Throughout labor, she was calm, encouraging, and incredibly knowledgeable. Whenever I needed her, she was always available and never made me feel like I was bothering her. She always took the time to answer my questions and concerns. Christina and her team are so amazing words can’t express how grateful I am that she was able to be my midwife … again! I had my first son (who is now almost 9!) with Christina as my midwife when she worked at a birth center and knew once I got pregnant again I wanted her! I was so devastated to realize the birth center was no longer there so I searched the internet to find Christina praying left and right that I’d find her and if I did , that she’d have a spot for me! Not only did she agree to be my midwife but she pushed her family vacation a couple weeks to do so From that moment on , Christina and her team were just as exceptional! If I had questions, they had answers! When I’d be worried, they’d be comforting! If I needed time to think, she gave it! When I was unsure, she was there with the knowledge and wisdom to help me! Through each appointment , each phone call and text , through the labor Christina was there for me with reassurance, comfort, the knowledge behind each decision that needed to be made, through labor she was right there reminding me why I chose the midwife route! I definitely don’t plan on getting pregnant again, but if I do, I certainly know who to call! This second pregnancy was completely different than my first and she truly went the extra mile and for that I will always be grateful and will search the ends of the internet to find her again! Thank you so much for your love and passion in what you do Christina, it certainly shows! ❤️

Christina is the best midwife in the area! We switch 6 months in from a hospital birth to a home birth and we had many many recommendations to check out Christina. We met with her and instantly felt at ease with the big change and felt like we were told everything that we needed to know without any sugar coating it. The birth itself was intense but exactly how I’d want my birth to go. Most of the time it was my husband and I going through every contraction with the team being right there checking on my baby and I. I felt very safe with Christina and her team she brought. All of this to say going from someone who would never do a home birth to recommending it to everyone I know, Christina is the only Midwife I’ll ever use and recommend.

I cannot say enough good things about Christian. This was my 6th birth but first home birth. I was a little nervous about it all and did alot of research to find the right midwife. Christian checked all the boxes and from the first visit I knew she was the perfect fit for us. She was so caring towards me and my children. She has an answer for everything. She is full of knowledge and helps in anyway she can. I recommend her a million times over. She is AMAZING and if I have another it will be with Christian.

As a mother of my daughter giving and son-in-law informing me that they made a decision to give birth at home, I was absolutely not ok with this. I listened to them tell me the reasons this is a good thing. I told them my concerns. All the thoughts of watching my daughter go through this pain with nothing to assist her just killed me. My daughter and son-in-law requested that I come over for the next visit with Christina. I agreed. (I had 2 FULL pages of questions) she introduced herself to me when she walked in. Well all sat on the couch, including my son-in-laws mother. Christina started talking immediately about EVERYTHING. I didn't ask any questions while she was talking. once she was finished, she asked if we had any questions. I looked at my 2 pages of questions and noticed she had answered all of them. I was impressed with that. I said, You have answered all my questions. How can that be? LOL. But she did. The day of delivery of course, all the thoughts I had were still on the back of my mind. When Chistina and her girls came in, everything changed. they were on top of everything. it was incredible. ALL of them were incredible. They were all so sweet and informative throughout the entire process. These young assistants came out to let everyone know how things were going every 20 to 30 minutes. I had the privilege of being in the room with my daughter and son-in-law throughout the entire delivery. WHAT A WONDERFUL experience that I will never forget. The most beautiful thing I have ever seen. If we were at the hospital, I would have never had this wonderful experience. All of the lovely assistants would come and rub MY back telling I was doing a great job. I was just doing what I could to comfort my daughter. They did little things like that the entire time. Being able to be there watching my daughter give birth and watching the expressions on her face and my son-in-laws faces throughout all of this, will be with me forever. Watching my daughter give birth to my fist grandchild. AMAZING. Christina was all about my daughter making sure she was good. Christina was amazing from start to finish. With all of this being said, I have completely changed the way I felt at first. I will be all for this again when my daughter and son-in-law decide to have another child. I am and will be team Christina. I could not have ask for a better midwife to take care of my baby girl. What a beautiful experience. I'm forever grateful. Thank you Christina for everything. Christina has been the best midwife I could have ever asked for! She has delivered both of my babies and I came back to her because of the care she shows her moms. When I was searching for a midwife 3 years ago, I specifically wanted a certified nurse midwife because of the level of education and training they receive. Where to even begin! Christina was truly my saving grace. As a first-time mom who knew I wanted a home birth, I went on an extensive search to find the best midwife I could. After hours of researching and praying, I gave Christina a call. She immediately eased my mind with her knowledge and compassion, answering every question and calming every fear. From our very first appointment, my husband and I knew we were exactly where we needed to be. Throughout my entire pregnancy, Christina and her team went above and beyond—answering late-night texts and calls, encouraging and supporting me every step of the way. I had my IUD removed by Christina. She was so gentle and kind and made the entire experience near painless. She and her student were so kind and welcoming and walked me through the entire procedure by showing me the tools they were using and explaining what they did. I would highly recommend her services.

I found Christina back in 2024 after searching for midwives in our area. As a first time mom, I wanted to skip all the scary and traumatic hospital stories and go straight to a midwife. I reached out to Christina and arranged for a zoom call to discuss her services. After that call, both my husband and I felt so at ease with who she was and her skills and experience that we were in agreement that this was what we wanted to do. Unfortunately, we had an early miscarriage, but Christina was extremely helpful and supportive as we got through that even though we had barely gotten to know her. Fast forward to early 2025 and we were pregnant again! I knew just who to call! Christina was very open and honest from the start and warned us that she had personal plans already in place around the time we were due so we knew the options from the start in the event that she was gone when the baby comes. I appreciated that honesty and we still chose to work with her despite that risk. As we got further along in the pregnancy, we grew to love Christina and her team. I felt well informed on what to expect and put at ease for what I was experiencing. Despite our family and friends thinking it was crazy to have a home birth, we never doubted our decision or our trust in Christina and her team. Luckily for us, baby boy came early at 38.5 weeks so we were able to have the whole team with us! We had rented a birth pool from her and had all the supplies ready for when they arrived so by the time I got into the pool I didn't have to worry about ANYTHING. I tore a little bit, but they were able to get me stitched up and into bed with no problems and no pain. When I got up the next morning, the house had been tidied up! Christina came back a few days later and was able to help guide me through breastfeeding and some latching techniques. She performed our son's circumcision a few days later and was very informative and detailed about what to expect in the days after and gave us plenty of supplies for his recovery. Honestly, baby handled it way better than we did so definitely recommend her service for that as well! This amazing woman welcomed us into her home, she laughed with us, remembered our personal life stories, educated us on what to expect as first time parents, and stood by our sides as we welcomed our baby into this world in the comfort of our own home. I originally chose Christina because I could not find a bad review of her and I quickly learned there is a reason for that. Birth is not an easy feat, but I can't imagine going through that without her and her team.

Christina is AMAZING! She is the best midwife in Rockwall. This was my third home birth (first time with Christina) and she made it the best one yet! I recommend her with my whole heart! She was amazing leading up to birth, so calm and encouraging during birth and amazing during postpartum. I was so confident in Christina's ability to stitch me up after I tore a little. She did an amazing job with my postpartum care, she came to my house several times the following week when I had questions about how my stitches were doing and needed helping nursing). Christina really goes ABOVE AND BEYOND. She also helped me work through some breastfeeding challenges (she used to be a lactation consultant so she is a wealth of knowledge!). I have even called her for advice on how to help my 4 year and 2 year old when they came down with the stomach bug. Christina is your one stop shop for 5 star care from birth through childhood. She really cares and will do anything to help you. She has become a family friend and someone I am so grateful to know!

Christina has been absolutely amazing! I went into my 37 week appointment 5cm dilated and super ripe. She reassured me if I wanted a baby that day I could most definitely have one! With my first baby (different midwife) I wanted a water birth as well but ended up having him on the car. So it was really important for me to have baby #2 at home with no surprises lol. & Christiana had a hand in making sure that happened. She’s professional and confident and made it clear any decision is based off what I’m most comfortable with (within reason). If I ever planned to go for baby #3 (I’m not) I would choose her 100 times over again

I will try to make this short and concise but I could really write a novel of a testimony. I have three babies my first two were born in a hospital and both experiences were less than ideal. They were medically uncomplicated births but still left me fearful and unhappy. My second child birth left with me with a lot of fears around child birth that I had to work through. So with my third child, who just turned 6 months old, I knew I needed to do something different. I wanted a home birth and found Christina online, by chance really. Now, my husband was very against having a home birth but Christina was so kind and agreed to meet with us to just answer questions my husband had. This one meeting changed his mind, still hesitant though and a bit fearful he agreed to move forward with a home birth but only if Christina could be our midwife. She took such good care of all of us during my pregnancy she was always available to answer our questions provide support, comfort, and of course excellent prenatal care. The birth of our child was not without complication though, I ended up hemorrhaging after I delivered our son. I do not write this to frighten anyone I write this to show that even in the unlikely event a complication arises Christina and her team are HIGHlY skilled and capable they will take care of you and your baby. I did not need to be transported her team calmly and confidently took care of me at home. I know had I been in the hospital it would have been a bigger deal, it would have been traumatic and with Christina it was not at all. I knew I was safe and well taken care of. When I reflect on this last birth I only have fond, happy, joyful memories. I do not even think about the fact that I hemorrhaged it was such a small issue really. It was THE most positive experience, and truly one of the most incredible things I’ve experienced. I could not recommend Christina enough as a midwife. I wish I would have had her for all my pregnancies. My husband and I still talk about how “badass” Christina is and how amazing the birth of our third child was. If I were to have another child I would immediately call Christina.

Just like any new Texan, first-time mom would do—I went on the FB groups to look for a holistic provider. I quickly realized how many people just went with the most popular “it” provider, which I knew right away wasn’t what I wanted. I searched high and low, met with a few providers in person, and none of them were what I was looking for. I wanted someone knowledgeable, who put me and my baby’s safety as their #1 priority. Someone who could give me options, allow me to make decisions without judgment, answer all my questions, and someone I could truly trust to help me in the hard moments. Christina called us on her way home from a birth, and as soon as my husband and I got off the phone with her, we instantly knew we wanted her and saw the value she provided. What we didn’t know was just how truly amazing she was. We saw the reviews, we saw the moms in and out of her home, but it wasn’t until we were in it that we realized how incredible she really is. She was so responsive. There were a few times I texted her in between appointments with concerns, and she immediately made time for me. She was great at knowing when to text versus call, which was very comforting. She always made sure I felt good about what I was reaching out for and provided me with extra resources so I could do follow-up research. My birth was above and beyond what I could have asked for as a first-time mom, and I don’t think I would have had that experience without her. She knew the birth I was hoping for, and through every big decision she kept that in mind, helping me achieve the most amazing home birth. She showed up for us in more ways than I could have ever imagined and prepared me for everything possible. During labor she was a calm voice and steady encouragement—not just for me but especially for my husband. She guided him on how to be included in every step, and it made the whole experience something we truly shared together. The way he describes our birth to everyone: “It was a party—we ate, we hung out, and we had a baby!” After birth she checked on me and the baby often. We didn’t live close, but I know she would have been there in person more if we had. She was always easy to get a hold of. Our daughter had a little jaundice, and before it could get bad, she lent us her bili blanket. That’s just who she is—not only a wealth of knowledge, but so generous. She either has exactly what you need or the resources to get it for you. At every appointment she gave us so much value, and we were treated like good friends. We drove over an hour each way to see her, and it was hands down the best investment we could have made. We absolutely loved her student midwives too! Honestly, it felt like a sad breakup when our baby was born, not knowing how often we’d get to see her again. She became a dear friend, and I would recommend her to absolutely everyone. Christina was a calm, steady presence in the chaos and someone you will never regret having on your team. She’s a hard worker, always puts her mamas first, and is constantly learning to be the best provider she can be. We truly loved our experience with her and will use her for every baby going forward. Our baby girl was born on May 13th, and this review is long overdue. I could not say enough amazing things about her. Our birth was beautiful, and I know for a fact we wouldn’t have had the same experience if we hadn’t chosen her.

I cannot begin to express the dedication and quality of a midwife Christina was! My wife originally reached out to Christina when we were trying to have another baby. We had been trying for 3 months or so when my wife reached out and she helped us every step of the way! We were ecstatic when we found out we were having another baby after another 5 months of trying. I had never heard of a midwife giving preconception care! Christina was also amazing during the pregnancy process. She even comes out to your home for the checkups throughout the pregnancy. She overall is the best midwife I’ve ever seen. My wife’s first birth experience was in a hospital and was not very good. Christina helped turn her life around and gave her a wonderful home birth experience (in her own home!) and it was just such a wonderful experience. Plus Christina is also a nursing midwife and has much better experience helping women give birth than any doctor I’ve ever seen. Highly recommend!!!

My pregnancy wasn't the easiest to navigate, and I had multiple problems pop up that would have prevented me from having a home birth but Christina stuck with me through it all (especially with the hard and scary times) and made my overall experience the best I've ever had. All questions, answered. Any fears, she encouraged me. And I ended up having my sweet boy at home with her and her incredible team. I loved every minute with them and now months later I still go to her for any questions or concerns I have involving me and him. 1000/10 would recommend using her!

I am writing this review 10 months postpartum sitting next to my beautiful daughter!!! I was extremely nervous about having a home birth, I did not know what to expect and I was anxious about the whole experience…until I met Christina for the first time. When we spoke, she told me that it would be hard and painful but told me my body was made for this and that I could do it and that she wouldn’t give up as long as I didn’t. Her full confidence in me, herself, and her experience immediately convinced me this was the route I wanted to go. The entire process was phenomenal. She truly cares and will genuinely move mountains to help in any way that she can. There were many times I texted or called in the middle of the night with some random pregnancy symptom I was worried about, and I always received a knowledgeable and reassuring response. Even now, 10 months later, she is always available when I have questions or concerns, she is truly a blessing. I cannot imagine how different my birth would have been had I not decided to have Christina as my midwife. Even amidst some inevitable complications during and after the birth, Christina always remained calm, collected, and confident, which always made me feel confident. I needed an IV afterward and one of the parts to the tube was missing so Christina and her team sat there and manually pumped IV fluids from a syringe into the tube for over 30 minutes, they were amazing. Having a home birth was the hardest thing I have ever done but with Christina’s constant support, knowledge, encouragement, and skill, I would do it over and over again and I would NEVER want to give birth any other way!

I’m going to try to not make this a novel but it’s hard to not mention every detail because our experience with Christina and her team was a complete God sent blessing, & I mean everything exceeded our expectations! Christina is amazing and super knowledgeable/experienced and she makes the whole process appear seamless. This birth experience was one of the most cherished moments of our lives and this awesome team made all the difference I cannot articulate how beautiful & perfect it was. To have this level of support from pregnancy through circumcision from Rockwall Birth was invaluable! We feel forever grateful and indebted to Christina & team! I cannot recommend her enough!

I can’t say enough positive things about our experience with Christina. From the very beginning, she brought a calm, confident, and deeply knowledgeable presence into our birth journey. Choosing a home birth was a big decision for our family, and she supported us every step of the way Throughout prenatal visits, she took the time to listen, explain, and make sure we felt fully informed and empowered. When labor began, she showed up exactly when we needed her, bringing a sense of peace and reassurance into our home. Her guidance during birth was both gentle and firm when it needed to be, and she created a safe space for everything to unfold naturally. This birth was everything I hoped it would be, and I know that wouldn’t have been possible without Christina. If you are considering a home birth, I wholeheartedly recommend her.

We chose to use Christina and Rockwall Birth after having a variety of experiences with multiple previous pregnancies - hospitals, birth center, and home births. We've experienced traditional OB-Gyn doctor/patient interactions, as well as other midwives that were professional, personal, kind, and empowering. Therefore, our standards were pretty high for the type of care we desired to receive, and Christina absolutely delivered on the level that we needed. She was readily available for questions and meeting us as we best needed throughout the pregnancy - having done it a few times before, her approach was to let us set the pace for how much care and appointments we felt that we needed, and we absolutely loved her approach to guiding us through all of the prenatal care. Unfortunately, we aren't able to rate Christina on the actual birthing process, because sudden bleeding in our 39th week signaled to us that something was wrong, and we had to ambulance to a hospital and have an unplanned, urgent C-section. It was not a preventable or predictable complication, and yet Christina and Janikka rapidly sprang into action on our behalf, showing up at the same time that paramedics did, and remaining with us all the way through delivery. Christina assisted greatly with explanation of hospital information and helping to guide and confirm our decision making once there, acting as a type of liaison between us and hospital staff, in moments where we definitely needed that assistance. This experience lent us a unique take on Christina's professionalism and capabilities in a way we couldn't have seen if the home birth had gone as planned, and in that regard, we hope this review can give context to any readers that worry over things that could go wrong outside of a hospital setting. Rest assured, if Christina is part of your care team, you are in exceptional hands - Christina blends well her previous experience of being an OB hospital nurse with also being a knowledgeable and empowering midwife. We can't imagine walking through that roller coaster of a birthing experience with a different midwife than Christina, and are ecstatic that she was such a large part of the team effort that brought us our healthy and growing baby girl! We recommend her to ANY other birthing couple with the utmost of confidence.

In reference to Christina’s circumcision services: I wish I could rate more than 5 stars. Christina teaches to every learning style, sends home all necessary supplies and is clearly passionate about the work she does. We visited her home office which felt cleaner and cozier than most doctor’s offices. She was very precise in the procedure while also comforting us through the process. I found that I preferred this over the experience in the hospital as I got the privilege to see/learn about the procedure and comfort my son. If I had it to do over again, I would go to Christina every time.

Giving a home birth was one of the best decisions I’ve made in my life, and it would not have been as meaningful, as beautiful without my dearest Christina being by my side cheering me up, restoring my faith in myself and my body over and over again gracefully, and holding space for me at every surge. I had the privilege of having Christina as my midwife for the home birth of my third baby, and I truly couldn’t have asked for a more supportive, skilled, and compassionate midwife. Her knowledge and experience shine through in everything she does. She has an incredible ability to honor and support the natural rhythm of birth while also being prepared and capable when medical attention is needed. I always felt safe in her care, knowing she could handle any situation with grace and professionalism. Christina also performed a professional circumcision for our baby with gentleness and expertise. The process was smooth and reassuring from start to finish. And so much education was given during the process to reassure the parents on the process and healing. What touched me most, though, was the postpartum support I received— after giving birth I had an episode of extreme dizziness and light-headedness that she helped me through in such a caring manner. And also especially during a difficult postpartum night when I spiked a fever of 103°F. Christina was available with immediate support, ensuring I recovered safely and we never felt alone in the process. She’s a rare and gifted midwife—one who truly understands how to blend holistic wisdom with medical skill. I am endlessly grateful for the role she played in this beautiful birth journey.

Rockwall Birth is an answered prayer. When I begin to think of how we were lead to Christina and her incredible team, I know that only God could have done it. Our first was our first ever experience with a midwife, we had no close friends or relatives who had done it and she was extremely informative and accommodating of the level of involvement that I was comfortable with as the husband (I was very involved with the first). We didn’t have a worry in the world and even invited her team and some trainees to help and it was the best! If I could give Christina’s midwifery 6 stars I would! I decided to switch from my ob to a midwife at 35weeks. I simply googled midwives near me and after calling a few in my area, Christina was the ONLY one that felt like home and not just a health provider. Although it was scary switching so late and also not knowing what to expect, Christina made me feel comfortable our first phone call. Not only was she attentive and knowledgable, she shows true compassion. Not once did I ever feel pressured, instead I felt guided and supported with every decision. Her team was AMAZING and I truly created a bond with every single one of them. My fiancé and 3 year old were involved which made unforgettable memories, my daughter now tells everybody ‘mommy pooped my brother out’ . Christina truly gave me the birth of my dreams! I don’t even know where to begin honestly! Christina is such a beautiful and amazing person - her and Janikka really made me feel so loved, heard, protected, etc. I come from a family who doesn’t really rely in holistic medicine, let alone natural home births. They think epidural is the answer and get as many drugs as possible to lessen the pain. My mom wasn’t the biggest fan of me going through a home birth and I kept being told by multiple people to just “give up” “you’re going to be in pain” “you can’t handle it” “you’re going to regret it” and so on. Christina never gave up on me and helped me through my fears - of course it hurt, but she was right there every step of the way. I felt so at peace with my decision and fell in love with my midwives so much so that, I CRIED after I had the baby knowing I wouldn’t be seeing them like I was during pregnancy. That’s just how at home she made you feel. She truly becomes your friend and not just a midwife. This birthing experience was so eye opening and unlike anything I’ve ever been through before. It’s all thanks to Christina honestly. I wouldn’t have been able to push through if it weren’t for her rubbing my back, giving me water, helping me eat, and just being so attentive. I would 100% go through this again but, 1,000% with Christina by my side.

Originally I was very against the idea of having a home birth. I’m a firefighter and the idea of having to call 911 for birth related complications really concerned me given the fact that I’ve had to deal with similar circumstances at work. My wife really wanted to explore that option mostly because of the level of care she received on both hospital births we had and the type of prenatal care that OBGYN doctors typically provide. I was mostly afraid of the potential risks that come with giving birth and not being in a hospital setting. After meeting with Christina I felt much better about my wife having a home birth under her. She is extremely knowledgeable and experienced. She was able to answer all of my questions and make me feel more comfortable with having a birth outside of the hospital. The type of prenatal care that my wife received with her was incredibly superior to the care she receive with an OB. Christina is very approachable and answered all of our questions and concerns throughout the pregnancy almost instantly. OBs and doctors are so hard to reach. There’s no way you can match the level of care she will give. On the day of the delivery Christina and her assistants were amazing to my wife. Went above and beyond to give her comfort and make the birth much better than what my wife had in a hospital setting. There was one complication with my wife after birth and Christina was able to quickly recognize and solve it. My wife and I are extremely pleased with how everything went and we are so thankful that we had Christina do the birth of our kid.

We met Christina through her mobile IV work years ago, and from there she became both my daughter and my daughter-in-law‘s Midwife and has delivered my last two grandsons. She has become might midwife as well, as I experience symptoms from hormonal shifts. She has also performed 3 of the 4 grandson’s circumcisions perfectly. (One boy was born in a hospital prior to meeting Christina.) She is brilliant but still compassionate, supportive and encouraging. My first experience with Christina was with my first pregnancy at a birth center. She was assisting at my birth, and when there was concerns over my baby's fetal heart tones, she knew exactly what to say to empower me to deliver my baby. She was confident in what she needed to do, and helped me feel that we would be okay under her care. Fast forward to early last year when I found out I was pregnant with my 4th baby, and my previous midwife was retired. Christina was my first choice, and I'm so grateful we were able to work with her again! I’ve known Christina now for almost 7 years, she has helped me through both of my pregnancies, deliveries and postpartum experiences. Seeing her in a different birthing center the first go around and now her own, it’s amazing to have an even better experience the 2nd go around now that she can run everything herself. The level of care and kindness and support truly is unnatural, in the sense of getting to experience someone thriving in their God given talent and operating in that 100%. I selfishly just want to be bffs with her just to be around, and in her world more to enjoy living life together, she is just a ray of peaceful sunshine. I will forever treasure my time with her, despite having the worst time of my life (twice) through pregnancy. 😂. Both pregnancies I had severe HG . First go around I was in labor for 92 hours and pushed for 3 hours. Yes it sounds dramatic, it kind of was. Christina was crazily there the whole time, balancing her family life, and having a young baby herself at the time. Second go around labor was so much faster and smoother and the support team she brought with her could not have been more perfect. I love my kids. But I hate being pregnant with a passion, my body just does not like it and Christina kept me sane. I also have had a rough postpartum experience this go around, lots of stress compounding with ppd and ppa with no support from my job that didn’t believe me( that’s a whole nother story), she helped me navigate it all and literally had my jaw fall open with the amazing letter she wrote me to get my manger off my back(Thank you to Blake too!)….All that to say, she’s the best. If we have anymore kids ever, it’s a requirement that she be my healthcare provider(you can’t retire I’m sorry). There’s no one better. I have talked to so many other moms and having a good midwife can really make or break the experience. Do your research!! It is not common to find someone with the years of varied experience that Christina has. Not to mention all the “upgrades” she has like the ultrasounds, IVs if needed, a blanket for jaundice if needed, all the connections she has, etc. She’s like a Midwife Mary Poppins, her bag of skills and things on hand seems to always be practically perfect in every way. 🩷🩷🩷

I cannot recommend Christina and her birthing team enough. Her knowledge and words of wisdom were so comforting. She made sure that I felt heard and seen throughout my entire pregnancy, birth, and postpartum journey. She was also always happy to discuss the additional mental and emotional difficulties that pregnancy brings along with it. An amazing experience!!! From the viewpoint of a first-time dad: Christina is an awe inspiring person. She loves her patients and she adores her job. Truly a birthing savant. We had several obstacles to overcome during the duration of my wife’s pregnancy, but Christina had a continuously joyful attitude when it came to every issue. We never once felt like we were an inconvenience to her. We always felt like family. We had every single question answered every single time. Unfortunately, the night before our beautiful son was born into this world, we decided to go to the hospital for delivery. My wife had a few complications that arose towards the end of her pregnancy and they all came together to help us make this decision. Christina sat up with us the night before, and eased our fears, our worries, and our doubts. She came to the hospital with us and walked with us through every process. She was our advocate, when we felt as if we didn’t have a voice. We now have a thriving baby boy who is perfect in every way. Christina has stayed in communication with us constantly. She is still answering every question and concern. Despite not using her services for the delivery, she still cares deeply about us and our family. I encourage you to just meet with her if you are on the fence about home birth. I promise, one conversation will convince you that Christina is the BEST option.

Review Well, I’m writing this review right now with tears in my eyes because…Christina broke up with me. OK, maybe I’m stretching the story and perhaps I’m one month postpartum and Christina’s midwifery services have come to an end and it’s been just an amazing pregnancy and birth experience and I’m sad that it’s over😩lol. Christina has been warm, welcoming, understanding, informational from day one. Seriously! When I reached out to inquire initially, Christina responded promptly and has always been available. From my husband and I experiencing and navigating an early miscarriage with her, to recently having the best home water birth experience surrounded by family, Christina’s care and support goes above and beyond. Even during my pregnancy appointments, Christina listened, shared relative info, discussed options, checked on my health and the baby’s health and just talked to me. Her appointments felt more like conversations and I have never felt like ‘just another mom/number’ with her midwifery service. So please insert all of the amazing qualities of a great midwife here ____. And I’ll also add, coming from a mom who was looking to experience another natural birth, I’m so glad I found d Christina. Christina is an incredible midwife! I met with her when searching for a midwife for my second born in 2019. My first son was born in the hospital and I knew I wanted a different experience. The prenatal visits were gentle and educational. She took time with me during each visit and when I was dealing with extreme morning sickness she provided options that allowed for relief until I got through that phase . When things did not go as planned ( as birth sometimes does) she continued to support and advocate for me! I also worked with her with my third birth! She is a rockstar! Truly, she was there with me the whole time and I was able to experience the most incredible home birth. I was not a birthing mother, but the Momma of two daughters who both chose to use Christina's services, within 2 months of each other. (So I got to be around Christina quite a bit!) I am blown away by how knowledgeable she is, on a huge variety of subjects. And, when something cropped up that she was unsure about with my oldest daughter's pregnancy, she dove in and researched it, reaching out to those who could help and in doing so, made it possible for her to have the home birth she wanted. I had every confidence in her skills and felt so secure in my girls' care under her watch. As the Momma of the birthing mommas, and a doula myself, Christina even allowed me to be as much help as my girls wanted me to be - with no feeling of toes being stepped on or any feeling of me being an intrusion. The atmosphere was one of confidence, "you got this", and "I'm right here, we can do this" from Christina, as well as her assistant Janika (spelling?). Both were phenomenal throughout. Christina even honored our family in both births, both boys, in doing their delayed circumcisions per our religious custom. So special. I can't say enough about the respect I have for Christina and her sweet gang there at Rockwall Birth. A+++, in my opinion. Top notch.

Was not sure what to expect when my wife said she wanted to go with a midwife & a home birth over the traditional Dr + hospital route. Had my first homebirth with Christina. She's very knowledgeable in the medical aspect and has wonderful bedside manner. Appointments were laidback and informed. They never felt rushed. We had the best birth experience here. Christina has been present for 3 of our 4 children's births as well as providing care during a miscarriage and has been an absolute pillar of calm support each time. Christina is such a special person for me in the story of the birth of my second child. At 36 weeks pregnant I was dropped from the care of the birth center I was planning to birth with because I had gestational diabetes and my numbers were borderline so they legally could not keep me on any longer despite the fact we were managing my numbers via diet changes and switching to a doctor would change nothing about my care. I was so stressed and didn't know what to do but Christina came in and put all my fears at rest! Because of her I was able to have a beautiful homebirth and looking back on it a year later it is a moment I will never forget. She was so attentive to me and my unique situation. She was upfront and factual with all the information and then allowed me to make all the final decisions about my care and what I was comfortable with. Christina took over the end of my prenatal care and delivered our 5th child in 2018 when my midwife had to leave the state to tend to family. Christina is a few years younger than me so I was extremely skeptical as to whether she had enough life experience to be the good attentive midwife I wanted and needed, especially since I’m considered a moderate-risk. She was the only certified nurse midwife available at the time, so I had no choice but to deliver with Christina. To my surprise, not only was Christina an extremely skilled, knowledgeable, and attentive midwife, but out of the 4 midwives I had previously delivered with, she was by far my favorite! Even though I’m considered a moderate-risk, Christina handled all of my complications without batting an eye. I’ve since come to call Christina a friend because she is a genuine kind of person you can trust. She has a very strong take-charge kind of personality, which some may be put-off by but it’s a very good trait to have in a midwife so they don’t end up second guessing their decisions and putting your baby in danger like one of my previous midwives did, but she genuinely cares about people and their well-being and she encourages you through the process and is very attentive to your needs. If I ever have another baby, Christina will be the only midwife I use. I have complete confidence in her as both a midwife and a person I can trust. Christina is always thinking, and acting, from the perspective of helping others.

The greatest experience I could EVER ask for. When becoming pregnant with my second son, I KNEW I wanted something different than I had before. In my first birth I was laughed at by my doctor for desiring no medication, I was disrespected, I was pushed on to make decisions I wasn’t comfortable with and I was traumatized by my overall experience. So when I found out I was pregnant with my rainbow baby, NOTHING was going to steal away any moment of my pregnancy and birth in being nothing but what I desired. Christina was more than just a provider or a midwife. She became a confidant of my emotions, a friend when I needed it, a coach to push me through hard moments of pregnancy, a listening ear, a shoulder to cry on and an encouragement when I was feeling weary. She wasn’t afraid to tell me how it was and went to great lengths to give me all I desired. When she comes to your home for visits, it’s like having a BFF come to uplift and empower you. When she talks to you she is intentional in giving you her time and attention. She even drove through an ice storm (anyone remember Snow-vid?) to have our appointment. She allowed my older son to be involved in visits and even let him explore and try to understand all she was doing. I’m so thankful for her as she walked alongside me in such a vulnerable part of my life and am thankful for the friendship I get to hold after. Christina provided the most attentive medical care I have ever experienced during my 5th pregnancy. I was terribly sick and she continuously asked me what I needed and exhausted any avenue that she thought may give me relief from HG. When the prodromal labor had me in a panic, she went above and beyond and met me to check my cervix just to reassure me. During the actual birth I had full control of creating the birth environment I wanted. I had a relaxing day birthing comfortably and when I was ready to deliver she coached me through it in a gentle and soothing yet empowering way. I loved birthing in water and being able to catch my daughter with the encouragement and support of Christina there the whole time. My safety and comfort were ALWAYS her number one priority. She cares. She’s knowledgeable. She kept me informed. She discussed anything and everything with me from my first visit to my postpartum visits. She supported me emotionally during a very difficult time in my life so that I could be my healthiest self. I was blessed beyond measure to have Christina at my birth and anyone else would be too.

Christina is amazing!!! If you are looking for someone who cares about YOUR wants for your birth, she's your midwife!! She was literally a God send to me when I found out I was having twins and would have to deliver in a hospital. After 3 previous birth center births I couldn't even imagine a hospital birth!! In a hospital setting with twins I was allowed to labor with no epidural and my husband got to catch his first son!!!! This is unheard of. Christina is such a kind and caring woman! When I was pregnant with my first, she answered so many questions for me. She gave me all my birth options so that my husband and I could decide what was best for us. She then helped me through one of the toughest times in my life when I miscarried our second. She did all that she could to get me as many answers as she could. She was very accommodating, she made sure to draw my labs, and helped me schedule an ultrasound. She sat down and talked with me about what was happening and some of the reasons why. As we wait to get pregnant with our third, she is still so willing to answer questions for me. Christina was my midwife and doctor at Baylor when I got pregnant with my first child. She also was my sisters midwife and delivered my niece at home. Christina quickly became a family friend. I had to be induced due to high blood pressure and helped me through all the worries and anxiety that comes with being admitted into the hospital not only for having my first child but with the pandemic and all the regulations. She is very comforting and made sure that if I wasn’t comfortable with something that it wasn’t done. She talked me through the entire process and didn’t pressure me into anything. She did everything possible to help me have the birth story that I wanted, although I ended up having a c-section by her partner doctor, Christina was with me during everything. She was very supportive before during and after the surgery. She reassured me through it all. Christina continues to be available for anything I need weather it is to be prescribed birth control to getting my family and I vitamin IV’s. She is always available no matter what the situation is. Not too long ago I thought home birth was a crazy idea that only people without respect for modern medicine and a sick interest in pain were in to. When I found out I was pregnant for the first time in January 2021, I began doing my own research and as a data driven engineer I get quite into the details. To my surprise, I found out home birth was not the least bit crazy and actually had quite a bit of data to back the benefits when you have a healthy low risk pregnancy and the right medical and emotional support. When I began checking out hospitals, birth centers, and talking to midwives - I found all I was looking for with Christina which solidified our decision to plan a home birth. My husband Will (Dad's check out his review) and I had the best possible prenatal, birth, and postpartum experience we could have imagined with Christina. She was absolutely wonderful and I can not imagine the process without her. She delivered our healthy beautiful daughter on September 18th, 2021, completed all her newborn checks, and postnatal visits right in the comfort of our home. Our experience with Christina - absolutely exceptional.

I cannot recommend Christina enough - not only as a midwife - but as a great coach and professional for a first-time dad. Yes, the labor and delivery experience was outstanding and exceeded all expectations, but the consultations leading up to the birth and the after-care were both exceptional. Christina does a great job with presenting her clients with all options and allowing them to make the best decision for them and their families. Like many dads, I had questions and she always answered them based on her experience and knowledge - free of bias or unnecessary persuasion that is so common in the traditional medical community. What I liked about Christina is she never seemed to have a personal agenda - only a commitment to ensuring we had a happy and healthy baby. The after-care we received was also outstanding. She took an active and genuine interest in how mom and baby were doing and was great with recommending what things to really focus on, and what things to just let take their natural course. Christina is an absolutely AMAZING midwife!! She helped me deliver my first baby and I wouldn’t of had it any other way!! I started with Christina when she was working in the hospital. I wanted a natural birth, but being a first time mom I could not imagine delivering anywhere but a hospital due to all the what If’s that go through your head during pregnancy. Half way through my pregnancy she started Rockwall Birth and I didn’t want to deliver my son without Christina. Pregnancy was really hard on me emotionally and mentally, and Christina was by my side every step of the way. I had put my complete trust into Christina. Fast forward to my birth: Christina stuck by me through 26 hours of active labor and 6.5 hours of pushing my 10lb 2oz son out naturally. She did everything she needed to do, and pulled out all the stops for me to have the natural birth that I wanted. Christina truly did change my life and my whole outlook on birth! I don’t know what I would’ve done without her helping me throughout my pregnancy and my birth.
