About me
Hi, I’m Jill! I’m a Certified Professional Midwife and the owner of Charis Birth & Wellness. I really love getting to know the families I work with. I don’t want you to ever feel like you’re just another appointment on my calendar or that things are being done simply because “that’s what we always do.” I want you to understand what’s happening, know what your options are, ask all the questions you need to ask, and feel confident making decisions about your care. I believe birth is a normal, physiologic process and that women are incredibly capable. I also believe good midwifery means knowing when everything is beautifully normal and when something needs a little more attention, support, or intervention. I’m very much about trusting birth without ignoring safety. Charis is a Christian practice, and my faith is a big part of why I do this work. I truly believe God called me into midwifery, and I don’t take lightly the privilege of being invited into such an important season in a family’s life. More than anything, I want the families I serve to feel known, respected, educated, and cared for.
