This is my first baby, and I’m planning to give birth in a hospital. My goal is to have an unmedicated birth and, if the hospital allows, a water birth. I’m looking for a supportive and encouraging doula who can coach me through labor, help me with breathing and comfort techniques, and help me stay confident and calm. I’d also really value someone who can educate me throughout pregnancy and birth, explain my options, and help me understand things I may not know as a first-time mom. I want someone patient, reassuring, and experienced with unmedicated and water births who will support my birth preferences while also helping me feel informed and prepared.

I am specifically looking for a trained professional with significant newborn experience, not a general babysitter or nanny. I would prefer someone who is certified as a Postpartum Doula or Newborn Care Specialist (NCS) and who has current infant CPR and First Aid certification. Experience with newborn feeding, soothing, safe sleep, diapering, bathing, and establishing healthy newborn routines is important. Please provide details of your certifications, newborn experience, references from previous families, and whether you have completed a background check. I would also like someone who is knowledgeable about current safe-sleep practices and is comfortable supporting the mother during the postpartum period. Duties will primarily focus on newborn care and postpartum support. Please include your availability, hourly/nightly rate, and whether you have experience with overnight newborn care.

I'm looking to have my second child here at home on the farm, want a natural non invasive birth with support from someone who's seen a thing or 2. My Budget is no higher than $5000 as I just need someone there for the birth. I'm not one to say that you need 20 years experience but preferably someone who's been doing this for more than 5. I am 18 years old and this will be my second child and a VBAC delivery (My obgyn has cleared me for VBAC). Really just looking for somebody that will show equal concern as I and be a supportive friend.
