I am having my first child in November and looking for postpartum daytime support to help me heal and handle baby care and light housekeeping. My budget is $20/hr for 4 hrs a couple times per week.

Hospital. * Estimated budget: I’m looking for a multi-week postpartum package and am flexible about the number of hours/days per week depending on the package and rate. * Describe your birth plan: Planning a hospital delivery. My main requirement is postpartum support after coming home, rather than labor/birth support. * Requirements for the provider: Prefer an Indian postpartum doula, if available, or someone familiar with Indian postpartum traditions and food. I would prefer someone experienced with newborns and first-time mothers. Postpartum doula certification/newborn-care training and infant CPR/first-aid knowledge are preferred. An Indian language is a plus but not mandatory. * Details about care recipients: First-time mother and newborn baby. I’m looking for someone who can help me recover after delivery while teaching/guiding me with newborn care, diapering, soothing, bathing, safe sleep, and establishing a routine. I would also like breastfeeding/feeding support and guidance, as needed. * Additional duties: Primarily mother and newborn care. Light baby-related duties such as washing/sterilizing bottles and pump parts, baby laundry, and keeping the baby’s area organized would be helpful. Light cooking/meal preparation, especially Indian postpartum meals, would be a big plus. I’m not looking for heavy house cleaning.

I will be delivering at Baylor Scott and White Grapevine. I'm unsure of budget and am trying to figure out what my insurance may or may not cover. This is our first child, so I'm not sure what to expect in terms of cost. I would like to have a natural birth, and plan to breastfeed. I would like to avoid an epidural and induction if possible, and would love resources to prepare for a natural unmedicated birth. I want to remain open minded to the possiblity that things may not go the way I want them to. I am with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas, and have the Blue Choice PPO if relevant.

Experience working with first-time moms is preferred. Details about care recipients (Age, special needs, feeding, etc.): This is my first baby, so there are no known special needs at this time. I'm still learning about newborn care and feeding options. As a first-time mom, I'm looking for someone who can provide newborn care guidance and support. Light baby-related tasks, such as bottle washing, baby laundry, and nursery organization, would be appreciated. But my goal is to get ahead of post partum. I'm proactive and eager to learn, so having someone who can answer questions and help me build confidence as a new parent would be valuable.

This will be my first delivery, my desire is to do it unmedicated in the hospital. Will like to discuss budget and pricing in person. I will like for my provider to at the least have a masters or higher in education and over 3 years in labor and delivery. Doula is my number one top choice at the moment, I have an OBGYN already.

I would like to give birth Home or birthing facility. I also would like to do a water birth if possible.
