Lactation consultant to help with latching issues that can come to my home
When baby latches, baby loses suction causing shallow and painful latch. Baby is taking in too much air causing reflux. Same problem on bottle as well.
I will be delivering at Baylor Scott and White Grapevine. I'm unsure of budget and am trying to figure out what my insurance may or may not cover. This is our first child, so I'm not sure what to expect in terms of cost. I would like to have a natural birth, and plan to breastfeed. I would like to avoid an epidural and induction if possible, and would love resources to prepare for a natural unmedicated birth. I want to remain open minded to the possiblity that things may not go the way I want them to. I am with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas, and have the Blue Choice PPO if relevant.
I mainly needing a lactation consultant this is my second pregnancy and I want to be assisted with how to breastfeed properly. I need someone in the Keller or Fort Worth area only
I would like a lactation consultant who can help me get a successful latch and hold as well as determine if I am able to pump to increase my milk supply. I am 40 years old, and my daughter is 2 weeks old.
I have been breastfeeding for about a month now and I thought I was getting the hang of it. The past few days I have had an intense burning pain whenever I feed on one side. I am not sure if it is my latch or a different issue, but it makes it difficult to feed my son at times.
Hospital birth, as unmedicated as possible but open to epidural and nitrous oxide use as needed.
My baby did well getting up to birth weight within the first 2 weeks, but around 6 weeks he started wanting to sleep through the night. I let him go longer stretches at night and now he's having a hard time gaining weight even though I've gone back to feeding on demand and also no more than 3 hours. He used to latch really well even though I was told he had a tongue tie, but lately it seems like he latches for a few minutes and then keeps popping off crying, turning his head, trying to latch again and repeats that over and over. When he really focuses to latch I think sometimes my letdown may be a little strong for him and he gets choked off and has to pace himself. I just want to figure out what's going on lately as I've been doing weighted feeds and he sometimes only gets 1-3 ounces.

Breastfeeding & Pumping Help. The right flange size. How to increase my milk supply.
Planning a hospital birth Budget 1,000-3,99 Because this is an IVF pregnancy, I am looking for a doula who understands the emotional significance of this journey and will provide compassionate, continuous support. I value informed consent and would like all procedures, interventions, and newborn care options explained before decisions are made whenever possible. My goal is a low-intervention birth with freedom to move during labor, use natural comfort measures, minimal cervical checks when appropriate, delayed cord clamping, immediate skin-to-skin contact, and uninterrupted bonding time after birth. I would prefer to avoid induction solely for convenience or to speed up labor and do not want to feel pressured into a cesarean birth unless it is medically necessary. I would also like time to discuss and make informed decisions regarding newborn procedures and injections, rather than having them performed immediately after birth. Most importantly, I am looking for a calm, knowledgeable, evidence-based doula who will help me feel respected, empowered, and supported throughout pregnancy, labor, birth, and postpartum.
