I will be delivering at Baylor Scott and White Grapevine. I'm unsure of budget and am trying to figure out what my insurance may or may not cover. This is our first child, so I'm not sure what to expect in terms of cost. I would like to have a natural birth, and plan to breastfeed. I would like to avoid an epidural and induction if possible, and would love resources to prepare for a natural unmedicated birth. I want to remain open minded to the possiblity that things may not go the way I want them to. I am with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas, and have the Blue Choice PPO if relevant.

I need a midwide that will work with my insurance and is available for vba3c. I can not pay out of pocket. I need someone to at the very least evaluate me and give me a honest answer. This has been a up hill battle since I got pregnant. Can anyone at all help?

I’m struggling with breastfeeding and feel like my milk supply is low. I currently both breastfeed and pump, but I also supplement with formula and have been using more formula than breast milk. I don’t feel like I have a consistent pumping routine yet, and pumping every 3 hours hasn’t been realistic for me. My baby’s latch seems okay, but I sometimes have nipple pain and I’m feeling overwhelmed and tired. I’d like help figuring out whether he is transferring enough milk, ways to increase my supply, and a realistic breastfeeding/pumping routine that works for our daily life. I want to continue breastfeeding if I can, but I also want to keep formula as an option while making sure my baby is getting enough. I’d prefer practical, supportive guidance without judgment. I’m on WellPoint for insurance.

A provider who accepts insurance (BCBS) and can give lactation support early and ongoing. Early meaning within first couple weeks of birth, ongoing meaning up to 3 -4 months. Ideally looking for a total of 3 visits across that time frame. In home would be great, but not required.

Hi there. I am in need of quick assistance. My newborn was latching well with me until we gave him pumped breast milk from a bottle a few times.. now he will not latch to my breast. He tries, but seems to just shallow-ly latch for a few seconds and then pulls away. I've been pumping to try to keep my milk supply up and giving him pumped milk from the bottle just to make sure he is eating. I'm honestly heartbroken over it. Please any guidance would be greatly appreciated, I don't want to lose the great progress we were making on our breastfeeding journey. Thank you
