My baby is now exclusively bottle fed(breast milk). She is currently refusing to latch. We introduced bottle to her while she was 4-5 days old, as she was less weight doctor recommended to pump and feed her till she gains birth weight. Slowly that became habituated. Earlier she used to latch once in a while , now she is totally rejecting . Looking for your help and support to breastfeed my baby

My baby is not able to latch properly at first , he takes like 5-8 mins for latch. And then he cannot feed properly as the flow is increasing. He sometimes cough and cry during the feed. He also needs sleep training

My preemie has a poor latch. He is gaining weight. But he has pretty bad acid reflux. He can only nurse in certain positions. I find it really challenging to nurse on the go because we don't have our full set up, the pillow, the spots with good support.

She latched fine up until last night and now it takes her 10 minutes to stop fighting me and latch. Sometimes she will put the boob in her mouth, then take it out other times she will move her mouth around my boob, but never latch. I tried different positions until something takes. It’s also pretty painful to latch and extremely sore / stinging after she’s finished.

I was pumping in the hospital only receiving drips of fluid.. my breast are engorged as we are at home I haven’t pumped but once in still on getting drops. Needing help to understand the process & pumping ever three hours if nothings coming out. The pump actually hurts now

Hello providers I need help to breastfed my baby. He is not latching properly. It feels like he is biting my nipple, specially left one. And he always shows a sign of hunger after breastfed.

I will be delivering at Baylor Scott and White Grapevine. I'm unsure of budget and am trying to figure out what my insurance may or may not cover. This is our first child, so I'm not sure what to expect in terms of cost. I would like to have a natural birth, and plan to breastfeed. I would like to avoid an epidural and induction if possible, and would love resources to prepare for a natural unmedicated birth. I want to remain open minded to the possiblity that things may not go the way I want them to. I am with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas, and have the Blue Choice PPO if relevant.

When baby latches, baby loses suction causing shallow and painful latch. Baby is taking in too much air causing reflux. Same problem on bottle as well.

My baby was latching well but wasn’t transferring milk due to a tongue and lip tie. I tried to latch him as much as I could while also supplementing. He now screams and cries when I try to latch him and has a strong preference to the bottle. He had his tongue and lip released last week. I am really wanting to primarily breast feed and supplement a small amount if I need to.
