First baby, giving birth at a Texas Health hospital in Ft. Worth/[personal details hidden]. Our budget is not very grand, we are looking to stay around $1,000. I am looking to get more information on what services you can provide for myself as the mother, and for my husband, and to just see if a doula is right for us.
Hospital with minimum/ low interventions. No birth plan yet and budget of $1500
I am a first time mom to be and looking for a Doula at Texas Health Fort Worth Hospital. I am due on November 24th and I plan to have a doula to help guide me to a smooth and easy labor. I would like guidance on how to be comfortable during labor and would like to not use any epidural at all. My budget would be $500 or less preferably.
Plan to give birth at fort worth birthing and wellness center. Our estimated budget is very low which is why i am looking for one covered by medicaid. Birth plan i want to be as unmedicated as possible, focusing on pain management techniques that are not medicated. I have Texas star medicaid but have not picked a plan yet. (cooks childrens, wellpoint, or aetna)
I will be delivering at Baylor Scott and White Grapevine. I'm unsure of budget and am trying to figure out what my insurance may or may not cover. This is our first child, so I'm not sure what to expect in terms of cost. I would like to have a natural birth, and plan to breastfeed. I would like to avoid an epidural and induction if possible, and would love resources to prepare for a natural unmedicated birth. I want to remain open minded to the possiblity that things may not go the way I want them to. I am with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas, and have the Blue Choice PPO if relevant.
I am wanting to birth at a birthing center and they require a doula for the attendance of the birth. We are spending a lot on the birthing center so we would like someone not as expensive.
Hi my name is Maria [name hidden].We plan on delivering at Ft Worth Birthing and Wellness Center. This will be our first baby! They also need us to have a class and a doula.
Finding a midwife and doula covered by tricare. I would prefer home or a birth center.
We're expecting our first child, a daughter, on November 6th, and we're currently at 25 weeks. We'll be delivering at Texas Health Harris Methodist Southwest in Fort Worth with [name hidden], so experience at that specific hospital is a plus. The main reason we want a doula is that I will be my wife's only support person in the room. We don't have family nearby and aren't planning to have anyone else at the birth, so we're looking for someone who can provide continuous support through a long labor and give me a chance to eat and rest without leaving my wife alone. Reliable backup coverage matters to us for the same reason. A few things that are important to us: My wife wants to keep her options open on pain management, including an epidural. We're looking for someone who will support whatever she decides in the moment rather than steering her toward or away from any particular kind of birth. We are formula feeding exclusively and have already made that decision, so we'd like a doula who is comfortable with that and won't push breastfeeding. We are not religious. We don't mind if a doula is personally religious, but we would prefer that faith, prayer, or scripture not be part of our birth experience. We're also interested in hands-on preparation. Childbirth education as part of a package is something we'd consider. Having birth doula, postpartum doula, as well as night services available from the same provider is a plus. We'd like to book within the next few weeks and are flexible on scheduling consultations, including evenings and weekends.
This is my first baby. I’m looking to transition from a hospital birth to a home birth. I want someone who will support and train me through an unmedicated birth. I’m 21 weeks, and budget is ~$3,000-4,500, for everything hopefully.
First baby, looking to hire a birth doula of East/Southeast Asian descent. Looking to build a solid birth plan and wanting strong advocacy before and during the hospital visit and birth room
Hospital birth with hopefully tub available. My budget is pretty tight so lower the better. Hoping to stay around $1,000. My birth plan is natural and little intervention
I will give birth at Texas Health Harris Downtown Fort Worth. I will need help with breastfeeding afterwards too. If they specialize in VBACs, that would be great!
I would like to give birth Home or birthing facility. I also would like to do a water birth if possible.
Someone to help deliver the child that is highly knowledgeable in in how to do so. Plan to give birth at home and my budget is less than $0.00 I have absolutely no money.
I want to have a water birth and I want to know all the things I need to do I want to know how much it will cost
4th baby. Hoping for practical and emotional support [personal details hidden]. Ideally want it a natural (no epidural especially).
Plan to give birth at a hospital…this is my first kid so i don’t know how much to expect in pricing. I want to go as natural as possible no epidural I don’t want to be induced unless really need too. I don’t wanna give birth on my back. I want to prevent tearing as much as possible. Delay cord cutting. I want to breastfeed . I want my spouse and me to have the skin to skin time
Hello. I am an African American woman giving birth and in search of a doula to help advocate for me. In my last birth I was met with bias because of my skin color, and would love to have a peaceful experience this time around. I want to learn how to give birth, what to do in postpartum to help myself heal etc. I’m thinking of being induced because of my school schedule, but I’m also wanting to go natural so I need help deciding on that. I have UHC insurance primary and WellPoint Medicaid as a secondary.
My birthing center requires to hire a doula for first timers, not sure how expensive that is, someone on the holistic side that understands how we want to parent and advocate for us.
