Hi! My name is Susan, and we recently moved to College Station! I am looking for a doula for our second child, and have Tricare. I was wondering if you have availability and are able to have your services covered under Tricares current policy which includes doula services. Thank you so much! It looks like for services to be covered with Tricare, you have to have one of these certifications. Do you have any of these by chance? Thank you! Provider must have a current certification as a CLD, certified doula, or similar perinatal certification (postpartum doula certification by itself does not qualify), obtained within the last three years from one of the following organizations: - BirthWorks International - Childbirth and Postpartum Professional Association - Doulas of North America International International Childbirth Education Association - To Labor - The National Black Doulas Association - Medicaid Participation in Lieu of Certification Effective April 11, 2024, participation in a Medicaid doula program may be substituted for the certification requirement for CLDs practicing in states with an active statewide doula Medicaid benefit. Participation must be in a permanent statewide Medicaid doula program, excluding geographically or time limited programs and programs with requirements set by affordable care or managed care organizations. CLD may only practice in the state in which they are a Medicaid doula. (TRICARE Operations Manuals - Chap 18 Sect 10)

I just found out I’m pregnant. So not exactly sure where to start. I would love to have a home water birth. Just looking at all my options right now

First baby, rainbow baby, I have a lot of anxiety. I would like to have a natural birth, however I do not tolerate pain. I want to try various positions for labor, I would like someone who can speak Spanish and support both me and my partner. I want someone who will advocate for me and my baby. We would like continuous emotional and physical support throughout labor, help with positioning and comfort measures before and after pain management, assistance communicating with our care team, and support with immediate postpartum bonding and breastfeeding. Certification: Required (DONA, CAPPA, Childbirth International, DTI, or another nationally recognized certifying organization accepted by GEHA) Experience: At least 2–3 years of birth doula experience or support for 25+ births Second language: No preference
