Looking for a Dula who is experienced with VBACs. I plan on giving birth in a hospital I don't have a budget in mind since I am unsure how much a Dula's professional services cost. My goals - I am planning for a VBAC -My priority is a safe delivery for both me and baby while supporting an unmedicated labor for as long as possible - I understand that birth can be unpredictable and trust my medical team to discuss any changes necessary Labor Presences - I'd like to avoid pain medication for as long as possible, including the epidural. - Please offer pain medication only if i ask for it - I would like the freedom to move around and change positions through labor whenever its medically safe. - I would like access to a labor birthing ball and a bathtub for laboring. - I would appreciate dim lighting to create a calm, relaxing environment. - Please help create a quite, peaceful atmosphere when possible. Support People - My husband - My mother - My mother-in-law During Birth - I would like delayed cord clamping if baby is doing well. - If possible, I would like immediate skin-to-skin contact after birth and if I am unable I would like my husband to do it. - I would like to begin breastfeeding as soon as possible after delivery. Newborn Care - Please delay baby's first bath - I would like routine newborn procedures to be dine in my room whenever possible.
