I'm a Houston birth doula, childbirth educator, and birth photographer — and after 10 years and more than 130 births, I can tell you with complete certainty: this work chose me just as much as I chose it. I'm a wife, a mom, and a Fulshear local who is genuinely, deeply invested in the families I serve. The moment you reach out, you're not just a client on my calendar — you're someone I'm going to show up for, advocate for, and think about long after your baby is in your arms. I started this work because I saw too many women walk out of their births feeling like something had happened to them instead of with them. I wanted to change that. Ten years later, that's still the whole point. Birth isn't one-size-fits-all, and it's not mine to decide how yours should go. My job is to make sure you walk in informed, supported, and confident enough to trust yourself — whatever that looks like for your family. You might be planning a medicated hospital birth. A VBAC. A home birth. A birth you're terrified of and hoping someone can help you get through. I've been there for all of it, and I'll meet you exactly where you are — without an agenda, without judgment, and without flinching. You can be scared. Whether you're planning a hospital birth, a birth center experience, or a home birth, I'm here to help you feel prepared, empowered, and held — from that positive test all the way through postpartum. You Don't Have to Figure It All Out Alone There is so much information available during pregnancy that it's easy to feel overwhelmed — and even easier to feel like you're supposed to have it all figured out already. You don't. My role isn't to tell you what choices to make. It's to make sure you understand your options, feel confident asking questions, and trust yourself to make the decisions that are right for your family. Think of me as your birth bestie: someone who listens without judgment, shows up without an agenda, and walks alongside you with warmth and expertise so you never have to navigate this alone.

Brave Birth Package
ou've done this before — or you've done the prep work — and you know what you need. The Brave package delivers warm, grounded, holistic birth support with all the essentials and none of the fluff. Tried and true, laced with love. Monthly Virtual Check-Ins: We'll connect regularly via video call to build our relationship and keep you feeling supported as your pregnancy unfolds. Between calls, you'll have unlimited access to me by text or email whenever a question, worry, or win comes up. ONE Prenatal Visit: In person or virtual — your call. We'll walk through your birth wishes, revisit comfort measures, explore your options, and make sure you feel grounded and ready heading into your birthing day. Online Resource Library: Instant access to a curated collection of tools, including birth planning guides, checklists, prep resources, postpartum workbooks, and soul-nourishing recipes — yours to explore at your own pace throughout your pregnancy. Birthing Day Support: I'll be with you by phone and virtual support through early labor, then by your side in person at your chosen birthing location once things are fully underway. I'll bring along my full toolkit — birth combs, essential oils, a diffuser, twinkle lights, a TENS machine, a Birth Sling, and more — so you have every comfort measure available when you need it most. Immediate Postpartum Support: My care doesn't end when your baby arrives. I'll stay with you for approximately two hours after birth to support your first latch, answer questions as they come, and advocate for you and your baby as you settle into those first sacred moments together. ONE Postpartum Visit: We'll debrief your birth experience, work through any breastfeeding questions, and I'll lend a hand with the practical stuff too — dishes, baby laundry, or simply holding your little one so you can finally take that hot shower and rest. Everything in the Brave Package, plus… THREE Prenatal Visits: Meet in person or virtually — whatever works best for you. Together we'll explore your birth wishes and dive into comfort measures, your options, and what to expect, with hands-on teaching and guidance tailored to you. Personalized Resource Binder: This isn't a generic handout packet. Your binder is hand-crafted and curated specifically for you — your personality, your preferences, your journey. Filled with evidence-based information, empowering workbooks, and clear one-sheets to guide you from pregnancy all the way through postpartum. Childbirth Education Classes: Up to 8 hours of comprehensive preparation, available in person or virtually, so you can step into your birth feeling informed, confident, and ready. THREE Postpartum Visits: The support doesn't stop when baby arrives. We'll debrief your birth experience, work through any breastfeeding questions, and I'll roll up my sleeves — whether that means tackling dishes, washing baby laundry, or simply holding your little one so you can take an uninterrupted shower and finally rest. We hired Alysa for the birth of our first child, and I truly cannot imagine going through the experience without her. When I got pregnant, neither my husband nor I knew the first thing about pregnancy, labor, birth plans, or caring for a newborn. After a few OB appointments, a friend asked me what my birth plan was, and I had no idea what she was talking about. Thankfully, she had worked with Alysa and referred us to her. While we liked my doctor, we quickly realized we weren’t getting much education about labor, delivery, or the options available to us. Alysa completely filled that gap. During pregnancy, she met with us for six educational sessions that prepared us for what was happening with my body, what our birth options were, and the pros and cons of each. She never pushed an agenda and was incredibly supportive of whatever birth experience we wanted, whether that meant a planned induction, an unmedicated birth, or anything in between. When labor started, Alysa came to the hospital at 3am and stayed right by my side, supporting me in every way I needed until our daughter arrived safely. One of the things I appreciated most was that her support didn’t end after birth. She also provides three postpartum visits that you can schedule however you need them, whether that’s help with the baby, getting questions answered, taking a nap, or even enjoying your first date night as new parents. My birth experience was nothing short of amazing, and I give so much credit to Alysa for helping me feel informed, empowered, and confident as a new mother. She didn’t just support me through labor, she helped prepare both of us for parenthood. Thank you, Alysa. We are forever grateful for you.

There are so many important decisions when preparing for a baby, but booking Enchanted Birthing Services was hands down the best one we could have made. From the moment I met Alysa, I felt like we had been friends for years. Her supportive and non-judgmental demeanor made me feel at ease, while her commitment to ensuring mothers feel informed and empowered sealed the deal. While she wasn’t at the hospital with me (I wish I had booked that service!), Alysa was there our first night home from the hospital. After having an unexpectedly challenging birth experience, I immediately burst into tears upon seeing her. This was our first time meeting in person, but it didn’t matter. I was so thankful to have her support and empathy that I so badly needed. This continued throughout our time together. During the six weeks Alysa supported us, I welcomed (and requested) that she make suggestions based on her experience, and I appreciated that she left all ultimate decisions up to me. She proved to be incredibly trustworthy and displayed true professionalism. I felt 100% comfortable turning the monitor off so that I could truly rest (not something I was able to do with my first). Since she was with us ~six nights a week for six weeks, she was in our home regularly during a major adjustment period for our 2-year-old (who was previously an only child). Not only did my husband and I look forward to her coming (which was ALWAYS early or on time), we genuinely feel that Alysa’s presence helped with the transition so that we could dedicate 1:1 time to our daughter. Not to mention that my daughter LOVED her and continues to ask about her to this day! My only regret is that we didn’t book Alysa for a longer period of time. I am confident that any family would benefit and be fortunate to work with her!

The best thing I ever did for myself throughout my pregnancy and postpartum was hiring enchanted Doula services. Alysa is a birth bestie rockstar. Educated me and my husband on what was going to happen and reminded me durning labor of what was going to be happening next. She guided me to ask questions to my OB when I felt certain things weren’t necessary. Gave me the resources I needed to help put my birth plan into action. She’s been a god send for me through this whole first time motherhood journey and we plan on hiring her again for the next journey. Never once did I ever feel judge for asking a question or my choices I was making for me and my baby. Beyond grateful for her.

My wife wanted a doula for her pregnancy and decided to hire Alysa. She offered educational classes before the birth which helped us be confident during the big day. She guided us through the birth plan my wife had decided on and even helped remind me to eat on the day of the birth. She even offered postpartum visits which I know has helped my wife a lot. Alysa is truly an amazing person and I'm so glad we could have her by our side through the entire journey.

Bringing Alysa on to our birth team was probably the best decision we made throughout my pregnancy! From day one she was so incredibly helpful, supportive, and provide so many different resources/information. I always felt comfortable reaching out for questions and I never once felt like I was being judged for my pregnancy/birth choices - which was very important to me when picking a doula. With her on our team, my partner and I felt much more confident going into the birth. I was also incredibly grateful she was at the birth as she was someone we could turn to if we had questions and she helped walk me through contractions and each step of the birthing process. She worked great with the hospital staff as well, and overall created a wonderful birth experience, as well as ongoing support postpartum. All around, we are so grateful for her support and highly recommend her services for anyone considering a doula!

I searched for a doula because my husband and I had no idea what to expect in oregnancy and beyond. I am so glad that I found Alysa. She helped prepare us for labor and answered so many questions throughout the pregnancy. She was also excellent throughout delivery. She was there to help and support me while my husband and mother in law were able to destress and take breaks. And now I have post partum visits to look forward to. Bringing on Alysa was one of the best and easiest decisions we made preparing for birth & our little one. Alysa was amazing! We signed on with her rather late, but she was thorough and took the time to make sure we were as prepared as we could be for delivery. I really can't imagine having done the delivery without her support and guidance which continued through the postpartum period. Alysa is like a big sister and friend who just happens to have evidence backed information to help you make the decisions you need to during this period of one million choices. As a new mom she helped me feel supported, provided reassurance, and helped us feel so much better prepared. If/when we have our next little one, I'll be reaching out again for her support.

Alysa is the #1 most important investment we made in preparation for having our first child— she is incredible!!! From the moment we started working with her, we felt taken care of and educated on all of the decisions and options we had in both labor and delivery and the postpartum period. She tailored everything to our needs (including making a carefully organized binder with all of the evidence-based birth studies my data-loving brain could ever hope for) and went above and beyond to help us understand what would go on during labor and in the actual delivery room. For my husband, a first-time dad, Alysa empowered him to feel confident and fully participate in the process. Not only that, she advocated on our behalf during labor and helped us navigate any challenges that arose, helping us stay true to our plans for birth and making the day we brought our girl into the world the actual best day of our lives. Alysa is my guardian angel! I came to her early in pregnancy when I was terrified of giving birth. Every time we met she taught me so much and calmed all of my fears with love and care.
