Hi everyone! Im Dawn! Single mom of three amazing kids, 2 boys and a girl. Ages 24,19, and 14. I have been a Registered Nurse for 19 years now. During those 19 years I have work in the maternal/child field, starting in mother/baby and now I am a level 4 Neonatal ICU nurse. I have being in the NICU for a majority of my career because these babies and all babies are where my heart and passion are. In the NICU it’s a true roller coaster ride for our parents. I love being there to support them in the highs and lows. Recently I started thinking about how anxious they must be going home after being with us 100+ days. (Not all babies stay that long) I thought, wow, wouldn’t it be great to have a nurse to help them out their first month home. Help them ease their way into life outside of the hospital. So I started looking into this journey. I would love to be a part of your family and help anyone with that anxiousness of being their new baby home.

Hey everyone! My name is Coni and I am a Certified Birth Doula located in Polk County, Florida. I'm married and have 3 crazy kiddos. I was also a surrogate and had Belly Buddy on February 3rd, 2024. I have always been interested in birth. My mom used to teach childbirth classes at the hospital when I was little, and I always loved going with her. I got pregnant at 17 and had to deliver at a birthing center due to financial reasons. I was TERRIFIED to give birth without any medications. Long story short I did it and I felt so empowered! This is when my passion grew even stronger about birth and learning the truths behind it. I ended up having my other 2 kids at the same birthing center because I fell in love with it. I had my first hospital birth with Belly Buddy and that was a new experience that I was able to grow my knowledge in. I would love to be your Doula and help empower you. With over 100 hours of volunteer work at my local hospital on the Mother and Baby Unit the gap from home and hospital is bridged. Whether you are breastfeeding, bottle-feeding or just navigating multiple challenges as your aid I will soothe the transition of care so you can get a great nights rest. We are a team and while the baby is sleeping or not requiring of my care, I will manage light household tasks such as sterilizing baby bottles, setting up prep work for the infant if needed for bottles, diapers/wipes and doing infant laundry. A little about myself is that I am a full time student who will be graduating soon, I go to church every Sunday and enjoy taking my Dog out for Walks. I moved to FL in OCT 2019. My oldest was a traumatic labor and delivery. It was with a provider that I didn't research and everything felt out of my control. It was rushed, medicated, and scary. After that I promised myself to have a better birth next time. All of my other children have been natural births, in the hospital, with a midwife. I decided to become a doula early into 2021 after finding out I was going to be an aunt. I researched and learned and realized that this is my passion. As a doula I offer many forms of support and aid. I am trained in natural pain relief positioning, comforting touch, and breathing techniques. I am an emotional support to ensure that families have a positive birthing experience. I also am a support to your birth partner, whether your birth partner is a spouse, parent, romantic partner, family member, or friend. I help to make sure your birth partner is as involved as you wish them to be. I help you to make informed decisions that work best for you and your birth experience. Stephanie is a board-certified lactation consultant (IBCLC), which is the gold standard for lactation and infant feeding support. She is currently practicing in and around Lakeland, FL through her private practice GROW Lakeland, LLC. She first started working with families in 2017 as a Certified Breastfeeding Specialist and postpartum doula, and quickly realized that supporting families was her professional calling. The road to IBCLC is long and challenging, but she aced the board exam in 2022 and launched GROW in 2023. Shortly after passing her board exam, she jumped straight into advanced training programs for oral function & ties, bottle refusal, and Infant Reflexes to better support local families dealing with the most difficult feeding challenges.
