Postpartum doulas are essential for parents during the 6-8 week period following a baby's birth. They focus on supporting the mother's physical, mental, and emotional recovery, assisting the baby's adjustment to life outside the womb, and addressing any obstacles that may hinder these steps. Doulas for Life offers daytime and overnight support, with daytime support lasting 5 hours and overnight support lasting 8 hours or more. Daytime support helps strategize routines and stay updated on baby-related information, while overnight support assists in a healthy transition into life with a newborn. Doulas provide informational support, including safety recommendations set by the American Academy of Pediatrics. Overnight support allows parents to get rest and care for their baby, including breastfeeding. Doulas For Life is available for short daytime shifts or overnight care for extended periods.

Postpartum Day Support
During the day, your doula will be your extra set of eyes, ears and hands. While noticing every nuance and need as it arises, they will help strategize routines that align with your unique parenting philosophies. The informational support available to you during each shift is limitless as our team has made it their life’s work to stay current on all things relating to babies and their parents. Daily Tasks include: Meal Prep, Light housekeeping, Baby Laundry, Nursery Organization and more. We offer Singleton and Multiples Care

Overnight Newborn Care
Our overnight support assists you in healthy transition into life with a newborn. Your doula will enable you to get the much needed rest you desire as they care for your baby through the night. If you will be breastfeeding, your doula will bring your baby to you for feedings. Once feeding is complete, you can head back to sleep knowing that diapering, swaddling, and helping your little one settle back in is all happening in the competent hands of your expertly trained doula.
