I first trained as a doula in 2009, after the birth of my (much) younger brother. I have worked in public health policy with the career aim to transform the birthing system in this country. I am a mother myself, My daughter just turned 4 months. Her name is Azariyah. Fun fact - my mom named all of her kids starting with the letter A, so i am keeping the trend going lol. I enjoy taking care of others it comes natural to me. Birth is such a beautiful experience to go through. To me there will never be enough time to soak it all in. Postpartum is very challenging with trying to heal, taking care of yourself and also taking care of your little one. Trust me when i say i know!
