I am certified through The International Doula Institute and have a background in Early Childhood Education. I have worked with children from birth to 6 since I was 17 years old. I started my career with infants and children as an infant room teacher, I worked through the ages and enjoyed my time as a Lead One-Year-Old teacher, but my passion was infants. I also spent 2 years as an Assistant Georgia PreK teacher and was the Assistant Director of a local childcare facility. I now have 3 children of my own, 2 girls and 1 boy, all school-aged. I am 26 years old, and am a registered nurse currently working nightshift in the postpartum unit helping both moms and newborn babies. I have 5+ years of previous nanny experience before I attended college, and I have also worked in a preschool/daycare setting with children ages 6weeks-12yrs. Due to my profession, I have expert knowledge of newborn safety and feeding practices. I am also trained in lactation techniques. Postpartum care is also included in my profession. I can answer questions, help with positioning, and help change pads or check for bleeding if needed. Newborn babies are my passion, and I am so happy to be working in a field where I get to help and educate families all night long. However, I have 4 extra days per week that I'd like to be filled with more swaddles and snuggles.
