Welcome! My name is Gretchen, and I am a parenting coach and certified sleep counselor with a master's degree in developmental psychology. My favorite job of all though is being a mom to my two sweet boys and teaching them everything I know about baking and art! I love helping mothers nurture calm, connected relationships with their babies and toddlers through gentle wisdom, firm boundaries, and evidence-based support through the early years. I believe that simple, subtle change is often make the biggest impacts in parenting and sleep. Ashley's journey into the realm of motherhood was marked by challenges, particularly with postpartum anxiety following the birth of her son. The experience, not aligning with her envisioned childbirth, significantly impacted her postpartum transition. This prompted Ashley to delve into the intricacies of childbirth, recognizing a pressing need for maternal support during both the birthing process and postpartum period.Motivated by her own transformative experience, Ashley decided to pursue a homebirth with her daughter, finally obtaining the birthing and postpartum support she had sought. This pivotal moment inspired her to undergo comprehensive training as a birth and postpartum doula. Ashley's commitment to her role is evident in her diverse training background, including certifications from CAPPA, Newborn Mothers Collective, and Birth Arts International. Ashley is currently undergoing training to become an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) and is actively accepting clients under the guidance of her mentor. As part of her commitment to supporting mothers, Ashley extends special discounts for those opting for homebirth and for repeat birth clients.

We had a great experience with Ashley! She was always available and able to help during both the prenatal and postpartum periods. Her questions were thoughtful and helped me think through our priorities, understand my anxieties, and offer great suggestions for both the birth and postpartum periods. Ashley was at my birth, which was really fast so there was not much time for anything, but she was great at helping my husband know how to be helpful during the birth and offered really good massage and lactation support. She knew my birth preferences front to back and was helpful as the go-between when necessary. She were especially good at calming me down while I was waiting to go into labor and offering tips to activate labor. She is a wealth of knowledge and a fabulous support system during such a vulnerable time.

My belief in the innate power of birthing individuals guides me, as I aim to uplift what's already within them. Through a blend of training, experience, and holistic support, I see myself as your birth companion, enhancing existing support without replacing it.

Hi, I’m Emily! I’m a Certified Perinatal Doula (CPD) and artist based in Providence, Rhode Island. I’ve been supporting birthing families since 2022, but my path to this work started long before then. Living with endometriosis shaped my understanding of how essential it is to feel seen, heard, and supported in healthcare. When I was first learning how to navigate life with endo, I needed someone who could inform, empower, and walk with me through the unknown. Now, I’m honored to be that person for others as a doula. I’m committed to inclusive, compassionate, and evidence-based support. My approach is rooted in deep listening, genuine connection, and a belief that birth can be a powerful, joyful, and transformative experience. I offer support across four pillars: physical, emotional, informational, and advocacy, so that you and your birth partner feel informed, respected, and confident throughout your journey. I also accept Rhode Island-based insurances including Blue Cross Blue Shield, Neighborhood, United, and Medicaid. I’ll help you explore your options, prepare for the unexpected, and make choices that reflect your values. I work collaboratively with your care team to create an easeful, grounded birth environment so you can focus on birthing your baby, your way.

Emily was my doula through the pregnancy and natural birth of my daughter and I can’t say enough good things about her! Emily has a wonderful energy that makes her a joy to work with, but she is also a fierce advocate who will go to bat for you. She is the perfect combination of the consummate professional and a caring friend. She was with me every step of the way and helped me achieve a beautiful, meaningful, natural birth. And on top of it all, she is a talented photographer and she captured both my pregnancy and my daughter’s birth perfectly. I cannot recommend her enough!

Hi! My name is Heather and I’m a birth & postpartum doula out of Bellingham, MA. I have 2 young kids and was inspired in my own pregnancies and deliveries to become a family support worker during the incredible transition of welcoming home a new baby. My number one goal is advocating and educating the families I work with from day 1 so everyone can have the childbirth experience they deserve. I have been working as a doula for over a year and have served 7+ families as a doula and newborn care specialist during that time.

Recent review

I cannot say enough about Heather’s compassion and knowledge when it comes to pregnancy and postpartum care for both baby and mama. Throughout my pregnancy, Heather would check in on me to see how I was doing, and she checked in on me right away following my daughter’s birth. She provided a listening ear when I needed to share the scary bits of my birth story, and used her personal experiences to share advice and guidance. She is so dedicated to maternal health and is an amazing advocate and support person!

I first trained as a doula in 2009, after the birth of my (much) younger brother. I was inspired by my mother’s experience and wanted to help birthing people own their births and find their confidence as a new parent through the birthing process. I went on to study Maternal and Child Health graduating from Boston University with a Master in Public Health. I have worked in public health policy with the career aim to transform the birthing system in this country. Through both my policy work and my work as a doula - I hope to rectify that birth is not just for women and it is not for women to do alone. There is a need and obligation to provide support for birthing people so that they are not only surviving, but thriving! The word “Alma” means soul or heart across many different languages. Serving pregnant and postpartum families is messy, raw, and vulnerable- I approach this work with humility and respect. At the core of my work is trust and connection with each individual and family unit. I do this work with my whole heart and soul. Birth work is truly soul work for me!
