The way I practice is to creates a judgement free environment for all parents seeking emotional and educational support. When I am not working I enjoy cycling, cooking (trying new recipes) spending time with my family traveling and reading. Although I have been a witness and sometimes an active participant in births since a very young age, I’ve been working as a trained birth and postpartum doula since June 2018 and have supported 250+ families throughout the NYC area. I am a certified lactation support counselor, integrative lactation and baby feeding specialist, a trained lactation educator, doula mentor, placenta specialist and currently obtaining clinical hours at Jamaica Hospital to become an Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). I first felt called to be a doula after the birth of my first daughter when a complicated pregnancy and birth was made joyful and empowering by my own incredible doula. After the birth of my second daughter with the life-changing assistance of that same doula, I felt a deep desire to be a permanent part of these sacred birthing spaces, and to share with other birthing people what my doula gave to me. Starting at a young age, I had a passion for children and babies. When I was younger, I wanted to be a pediatrician and a mom. I followed down the medical pathway as a CNA in an Intensive Care Unit and I was able to care for a lot of people in very vulnerable moments. Through this I experienced a lot of last moments with people. After becoming pregnant in 2022 and having my son, I realized that I have a passion for assisting women through pregnancy and ultimately through labor and delivery. I decided that I was ready to take this step and turn this passion into an opportunity to serve others in the most beautiful and natural journey that we as women get to encounter. My mission as your birth doula is to support you through your natural journey from pregnancy through childbirth and into motherhood. I take a holistic approach when assisting you with reaching your goals and aim to empower you in making conscious decisions surrounding your birth. I have been providing birthing support, assistance, and care since 2013 nationally across the United States with a specialty in birth/miscarriage/abortion aftercare. So far, I have attended 4 births and have provided prenatal and post-partum services for over 10+ women. I am walking in my calling and I believe that all women deserve to have affordable support and care during birth.
