My name is Genicia Battle, known in the Ifá community as Ifáfúnké Àṣọre. I am a Full Circle Doula and Birth Companion, trained through the SMC Full Circle Doula Birth Companion Training. A program rooted in the cultural, historical, and spiritual traditions of African American midwifery and birth work. I became a doula because every birthing person deserves to feel seen, supported, and spiritually connected throughout their journey. I know the difference it makes to birth in a space that feels warm, honoring, and sacred. My vision is to offer families not only emotional and spiritual support, but also culturally rooted healing tools that nurture the womb, body, and soul. Birth is not just a moment! It is a portal! My purpose is to ensure that every mother steps through it feeling whole, powerful, and profoundly connected to her divine nature.

I am honored to have crossed paths with Genicia. She is truly a blessing in my life. I shared my pregnancy journey and expressed my desire for a holistic doula. Well, let me tell you, she was incredibly responsive to my texts and calls, no matter the time of day. She is incredibly knowledgeable and always has a listening ear, ready to provide solutions. She is not afraid to let me know that certain aspects of my pregnancy concerns do not fall within her scope of practice and that WE should discuss them with my OB. I truly appreciate her willingness to provide me with a curated tea I take daily, affirmations to boost my spirits, and a listening ear to my concerns. If you are in Texas area and seeking a knowledgeable, understanding, and holistic doula, she will always be my top choice. I still have a few more months of my pregnancy journey, but I am confident that you will see more written reviews from me as we explore the transitioning times of birthing and postpartum together.

Hi! My name is Rebeca Gedeon and I am a certified birth doula located in Weatherford, TX. I love supporting moms in all labor and delivery locations, and with any kind of provider. My first experience with birth was when my mom delivered my brother under the supervision of a traditional midwife over 24 years ago. I have since had 6 children of my own, and those labors and deliveries fueled my passion for supporting moms. I have personal experience with twins and NICU. I have supported moms through their dream births as well as birth plans that needed adjustment for medically necessary reasons. One of my biggest strengths is supporting mom in what they wish, but also being able to slow down and explain what is going on if plans have to adjust rapidly. I will labor with you at home if you desire, even if you plan to transfer to another location, and I will follow you into the OR if needed and desired. I am not only a certified labor and birth doula, I have added training with body balancing techniques to help you and your body navigate labor. I am familiar with Spinning Babies techniques. I am a StillBirthday student doula. And I am currently in training to become a placenta encapsulation specialist. I am also a Christian doula and love to incorporate quiet prayer and intercession into my care when it is desired. I've watched the Lord work miracles for families and believe in the power of prayer in the labor space. When I am not at a birth I spend my time homeschooling my children and playing with my children. I also greatly enjoy floral work, knitting and crocheting, and baking!

My greatest hope for you is that you have the birth and recovery you wanted. Connecting with me is one step closer to that being achieved. Whether birthing in a hospital, birth center, or at home it is my job to help you prepare to exceed that goal and be able to focus on your baby way passed just the labor day. I am honored to be considered in your birth planning and I hope to hear from you soon

I am a new Doula and have completed a Dona approved Doula training. My work background is mostly rooted in hospitality, customer service and yoga. I have always had a passion for caring for others and creating a fulfilling experience. Birth is something I am in awe of and I'm so excited to support women and babies during these life changing moments! When I'm not at work, I can be found cooking a wholesome meal, reading a novel with a strong female lead or doing yoga. I'm a California native so I love spending time outdoors hiking/running, it's a great way to relieve stress and to feel accomplished after a long trek!

Highly recommend taking a pre-natal yoga class with Krista! She came to my home and guided me through a gentle flow. As a first time mom and someone who never exercised regularly, this was just what I needed. Will definitely be scheduling more sessions :)

**If you are unable to afford a doula, I offer low to no cost service every month to a limited amount of families. Let me be your personal hype woman. I am an Air Force Veteran turned Birth Worker. I became a doula because while in the military, I was displaced from having a support system. When I got pregnant, I had to give birth in a community that looked nothing like me. I was also wildly uninformed about the rates of maternal morbidity amongst black women. These coupled ideas made me feel really uneasy about my birthing experience. I wanted to make a difference after my experience and becoming a doula turned out to be my life's passion. I pride myself on being open-minded, spiritual, and will provide you with a calm reassuring presence during your pregnancy, labor, delivery, and postpartum.

Hello, I am a certified postpartum doula. I have worked with babies/children since I was 13. I babysat and nannied throughout my teenage years. In college I worked at numerous daycare facilities (newborn-preschool). I earned my bachelors degree from the University of North Texas in early childhood education. I taught for 5 years in 2nd grade and in PE. In 2008 we welcomed our first (of six) baby. I now have 5 boys and a daughter that I homeschool. My youngest is now six and I miss the newborn season!! I recently got my certification to be a nighttime postpartum doula. My goal is to support the new momma (and family) and help them to enjoy and cherish this quick season of having a new baby. I breastfed all my babies so I understand the struggles and joy of this as well.

My name is Joy Lynn, a birth doula in DFW. I feel confident and called to support mothers as they birth their sweet babies; to empower women as new mothers are born. A little bit about myself: I recently began my journey to become a birth doula, with aspirations to pursue midwifery school and eventually become a Certified Professional Midwife (CPM). I’ve always found the processes of pregnancy and birth to be such miraculous things, which is why I am so excited to be supporting mothers in this special way. Pregnancy, birth, and the beauty of new life are truly "glorious things!" The choice to pursue birth work sprouted after I began volunteering at a pregnancy resource center. I recently began my doula journey, knowing that helping mothers and their sweet babies during such a precious time was exactly what I was called to do! I believe that every mother deserves an empowering birth, as well as a loving birth team - finances should never get in the way of achieving these things. I am offering my birth doula services on a low cost or volunteer basis for specific situations, so don’t hesitate to reach out! My going rate for a complete, thorough birth support package is $350. Thank you so much for following along on this exciting journey and many blessings, Joy Crowhurst

Hey there! My name is Julie Davidson and I am a professionally certified birth doula, chidlbirth educator, and virtual birth coach. I live in The Colony, TX with my son Elliot, my husband Dennis, and our giant dog Franklin. My love for birth was born during my pregnancy with Elliot. I was always totally scared of labor, but after hiring a doula and diving into my own education and research... my fear turned into faith. As I learned how beautiful pregnancy and birth can be + how different your experience can be if you are educated and informed + how much you really are in control of... it all became less scary. I knew pretty much immediately that I wanted to be a guide and support to other moms on this journey. I have worked dozens of families and seeing them welcome their baby into this world with strength and bravery NEVER gets old. I'd love to support you! Send me a DM, text or email and we'll hop on a free discovery call to see if we'd be a good fit :)

Julie stepped into our lives as an overnight postpartum doula during a stressful season of postpartum recovery. We had medical complications with the birth that required mom to be on modified bedrest and the timeline of healing was unknown. Julie handled the chaos of an unknown recovery and a newborn with grace and understanding. She ensured mom was able to get rest at night, all while keeping baby safe and assisting with light household chores. Julie was/is an essential part of postpartum recovery. We consider her like family.

Hello! I’m so glad you’re “here.” ◡̈ My name is Holly, and I’m a full spectrum doula serving the Dallas–Fort Worth area 🤍 I’m currently pursuing certification with Birthing Advocacy and looking for my first clients! I owe my fascination with pregnancy and birth to my mom, who was always open about her birth experiences—both medicated and unmedicated. I’ve loved babies for as long as I can remember and naturally stepped into a caregiving role as the oldest of three. In college, I did research on improving maternal and infant birth outcomes, which sparked my interest in becoming a doula. I’m pro-LGBTQ+, pro-choice, anti-racist, and body neutral, so come exactly as you are! I strive to offer trauma-informed, personalized support for ALL. My work exists within systems that have long excluded and harmed marginalized communities, and I aim to use my privilege for good—advocating for equity, uplifting others, and amplifying their voices. Accompliceship is a lifelong practice, and I’m committed to showing up with compassion, humility, and a willingness to grow. If you’re in search of a doula and curious if we’d be a good match, I’d love to chat with you! 🕊️ Here are a few more facts about me: ❋ I have a Bachelor of Science in Public Health and a certificate in Trauma-Informed Care from the University of North Texas. ❋ I’m engaged to my high school sweetheart, and we have two sweet boy kitties: Apollo and Spectre. ❋ I love baking for my loved ones! I hope to one day share homemade treats and nourishing foods with the families I support as well. ❋ I’m a Virgo sun, Libra moon, & Capricorn rising. Also an enneagram 6!

Vanessa was our doula for all 5 of our children. My husband wasn’t convinced we needed a doula, but after our first was born, he said, “We could not have done that without her!” So she was considered a necessity for the subsequent births. Before birth day, she met with us to discuss our birth plan and goals and how she could help us with that. She taught us what to do for pain management. She involved my husband as much as he wanted/could handle, but she did a significant amount of the pain relief techniques for me. She made sure I was drinking water and always had my cup filled up. She fed me. She reminded me to breathe correctly. She reminded me to “push from your bottom”. She held my hand. She put a cold cloth on my forehead. She knew what I needed when I didn’t. Her presence is calm and kind. For my last birth, my only home birth, she asked in our initial meeting if I had considered catching the baby myself. I told her no, but we decided to discuss what that would look like anyway. The midwife missed that birth. Vanessa made it just in time. I didn’t even know I was pushing, but she knew! She said to my husband,“She’s pushing - we need to get her undressed and in the tub.” She helped me undress and get in the birthing tub and - who knew - I caught my own baby and she was right there with me guiding the process by telling me exactly what to do like we had practiced weeks before. She helped to handle discussing the birth and updates to my midwife on the phone, communicating to us what the midwife needed us to know. She was definitely a source of comfort for all my births, but especially that one! She also does a postpartum visit to check on us and comes full of ideas, contacts, and resources for any postpartum help we need. I cannot recommend her enough. She is such a blessing to our family.

Katelynn was my doula for my 7th birth. This birth was the first time I have ever had a doula and now I cannot imagine how I ever did it without her. We talked over the course of my pregnancy and she was amazing at helping me work through labor fears and anxiety. Everything I told her was important for me during labor she made sure happened. What was amazing to me was how much she knew that I needed that I never voiced or really even knew myself. She prayed over me, spoke scripture over me, helped with my other children without me having to ask, applied the most amazing counter pressure, and so so much more. Shortly after the birth she sent me the sweetest timeline of my birth. It included things I didn’t even remember like my 4 year old singing to the baby shortly after he was born. I have never had any birth photos or a video and she managed to snap pictures and video the birth. I cannot recommend her highly enough. It was like having the dearest friend you have known forever and who has a wealth of information about labor and birth holding your hand. 💛
