Kendall was an absolute god-send during our pregnancy and birth journey. As first time parents, we felt SO lost starting our pregnancy journey. The lack of dedicated support in the system was so apparent right away, and we began our search to find the compassion , emotional support and care we needed , esp for me as a first time mom! Our first discussion with Kendall made us feel so comfortable and like there was such a personal connection , Kendall was so knowledgeable and so committed to ensuring that I would have the support I needed thru every step of my pregnancy and post-partum. She was someone that I immediately knew I could trust and be comfortable around and want her there with me every step of the way, including during my delivery. Kendall provided support and assistance throughout my pregnancy beyond what I could have ever imagined. As someone who had an extremely difficult pregnancy with several hospitalizations, Kendall was there for our family every step of the way, helping us find new care when things with our existing provider weren’t going well, being by our side with several hospital stays and going out on a limb to be a vocal advocate for what was always best for me and our baby. Kendall went above and beyond after so many unexpected turns in our birth story, spent dedicated time visiting our baby in the NiCU at a moments notice when we delivered prematurely in an emergency situation, and was constantly there as a sounding board, resource , and 24-7 support system for our entire family. We have never felt so comfortable being open and honest with someone as we were with Kendall!! She is so passionate about her work, her families and the moms in her care, and it shows!! Whether we had a perfect pregnancy or one filled with the challenges and scares our family faced, We can’t imagine doing it or going through the journey without Kendall. You never know what resources you may need until you need them, and Kendall was there with us every step of the way. She will forever be a part of our family and our story, and we will be forever grateful for her. -The Schafferer’s: Lindsey , Marco and Marcel (our 35 week angel babe!)

As a full spectrum doula, I provide the tender loving care that all pregnant and postpartum families deserve. Whether you’re still brainstorming baby names or you’re already knee deep in baby bottles, you can rest easy knowing that I have the skillset to cover it all - from preconception to postpartum and beyond.

Recent review

I felt so supported by Auriel during my pregnancy, in preparing for the birth, during labor, and after baby was born. I cannot express my gratitude enough for the ways Auriel made me feel heard, seen, and understood. Having previous birth trauma and childhood abuse, I had a lot of anxiety coming up to the birth of my second child. I found Auriel when searching for a doula who recognized and integrated spirituality into the pregnancy and birth experience. Also, Auriel's own pregnancy and birth story inspired me. I first had a womb healing session with Auriel and, with her guidance and compassionate presence, I was able to reconnect with my child self. From that moment, I knew I could trust Auriel as my doula. She honored the sacredness of my journey and empowered me to birth and was so kind in the ways she processed with me and my partner after the birth. I would highly recommend Auriel to anyone seeking healing or a doula who integrates birth and spirituality.

Hey there, I’m Carly, the heart and hands behind Sol Shine Doula Services. My path to birth work started with my own first birth experience—long, unsupported, and ending in a home birth transfer. I didn’t even know doulas existed then, but I know now how transformative the right support can be. Named after my first child’s middle name, Sol Shine was born from a deep desire to provide families with the warmth, knowledge, and care I once wished for. Now, I dedicate my work to ensuring no birthing person feels alone in their journey.

We found Carly very last minute, and I was honestly on the fence about whether or not I wanted to hire a doula. But after meeting with her, we instantly felt comfortable and knew she was the right fit. She’s kind, knowledgeable, and incredibly thoughtful in her approach. Carly took the time to ask important questions and was sensitive to both past trauma and my neurodivergence, which made me feel seen and supported right from the start. Having her available throughout the tail end of my pregnancy to answer questions was invaluable. I wish we would have found her sooner so I could have benefited from her support and guidance for more of my pregnancy. When it came time for the birth of our first child, I can’t imagine having done it without her. She helped create the calm, peaceful environment I had hoped for and supported both my husband and me as we navigated the hospital experience. During labor, she was there for my husband as much as she was for me—gently guiding him on how best to support me and offering him reassurance, too. Carly made the entire experience feel grounded, warm, and empowering. We’re so grateful we had her by our side.

I cannot say enough good things about Stacey & Brandy. They helped me manage my pain levels throughout labor & delivery, communicated with my midwife for me, advocated for me on my behalf, and most importantly they helped me feel SAFE even during the most challenging parts of my labor/delivery. They're sweet & kind and they're very knowledgeable about what to do to help mamas during pregnancy, labor/delivery, and postpartum. Hello everyone, my name is Jenn. I'm a certified birth and postpartum doula serving the Denver metro area. I have always been drawn to birth work and I've chosen to practice as a doula because I believe every person deserves to feel heard, respected, and prepared throughout their birthing journey, regardless of what life path you're on. I'm committed to empowering you to advocate for yourself and your baby, encourage you to attain the birthing experience you want and be there every step of the way to empathize and validate your emotional journey.

Recent review

Discovering I was pregnant at the young age of 19 in January of 2023 was a daunting realization, as it wasn't part of my immediate plans. Uncertainty clouded my thoughts, but I knew I needed guidance regardless of the decision my partner and I made. That's when Jenn stepped in. From the onset of my pregnancy journey, Jenn provided unwavering support, extending beyond childbirth. She offered exceptional advice on nutrition, prepared me for the birthing process, and most importantly, empathized with my emotional journey, understanding my desires for both myself and my child. During labor, Jenn remained a constant presence, offering guidance through every step. From walking the hospital corridors to assisting with pain relief methods and ensuring optimal posture through breathing techniques. Her swift response to my hospital admission due to preeclampsia exemplified her dedication. After 11 hours of labor and 14 minutes of pushing, my beautiful daughter entered the world, and any apprehensions about being a young, first-time mother faded in that moment of pure connection. Jenn's reassuring words were a beacon of strength throughout, reminding me of my capabilities even in moments of doubt. Reflecting on my birthing experience, I am filled with gratitude for Jenn's support. I wholeheartedly endorse her as an exceptional doula, and I am grateful for the opportunity to relive that transformative journey in my mind because of her.

Warm, detail oriented, easy to work with, and had great chemistry not only with me, but with my husband and 2 1/2-year-old as well. Her communication was on point, checking in after each doctors visit, And answering my endless, questions with ease and kindness. I had an amazing birth experience, I was very lucky, and I cannot imagine anyone else being there to welcome our second child. Angela is a postpartum doula, perinatal and kids yoga instructor. Angela has always been interested in women’s wellness and support and became very interested in postpartum doula work after giving birth to both of her children 2000 miles away from her extended family. Her goal is to help mothers find their confidence and create systems to help them continue to build trust in themselves as mothers. Originally from Canada, Angela moved to Colorado in 2017. When not working, Angela loves to be outdoors with her family especially hiking, mountain biking and skiing. She also fancies herself a pretty good home chef!

I can’t thank Angela enough for the post-partum support she gave to me directly following the birth of my daughter. As soon as I came home from the hospital she was ready to help, from setting me up in my living room with a comfortable breastfeeding station, to answering all my questions about caring for my newborn. As a first time mom it was so comforting having someone like Angela come into my home and care not only for my baby but for me also. It’s very obvious when you meet her that she is genuinely passionate about helping moms & babies!

I was lucky enough to have Ann as my doula during the pregnancy and delivery of my son. As a first time Mom, I was feeling nervous and overwhelmed with the thought of birth. Ann walked me through the process, discussed the choices I had, and put my mind at ease knowing that she was going to be there to support me. During my labor, Ann was so gentle and a calming force when I needed it most. She answered questions when I asked, advocated for me to the hospital staff, and encouraged my partner to support me in helpful ways. She was an incredible part of my birth story and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to anyone.

I am committed to providing unmatched care and attention through my dual roles as a postpartum doula and reverend high priestess. Since January 2001, I have had the privilege of supporting families during significant life events, from Handfastings to Baptisms and Baby Blessings. My passion extends to nurturing new parents during the crucial postpartum period, ensuring they receive the emotional and practical support they need as they transition into parenthood. In 2022, I expanded my services to include postpartum care option, tailored to meet each family's unique needs. This comprehensive support not only encompasses practical assistance but also emotional guidance, helping parents navigate the early days with confidence. Additionally, I introduced a Mothering Ceremony, creating a meaningful space for expression and celebration. Based in Pueblo West, I proudly offer my services throughout Colorado. Prior to my time here, I lived in New Hampshire, where I had the joy of assisting families through various ceremonies. I look forward to bringing my experience and heartfelt support to both new parents and those celebrating life’s milestones.

Doula Jackie is knowledgable about the birthing process and honored what my spouse and I wanted for the birth of our child when the time is to come. She helped us create a warm and inviting area of our home to calm us and guide us through the process of hypnobirthing and helped us with deciding on if there was to be any medical intervention, what to avoid, and what would be absolutely necessary and it was up to us to make the final decision...she doesn't give medical advice, she provided information on what could happen if the birth of our child didn't go as planned for whatever reason it wasn't meant to be a non-medical birth. We are still in the planning stages of IVF for the future, but it was so nice to talk to someone to help us get over the fears of what might or could happen and reminded us that I (the mom-to-be) had the power to say YES or NO to the medical team and to not be afraid to speak up for myself. I recently had a miscarriage and she wrote us a lovely ritual for our baby who wasn't ready to be on this side of the world. She incorporated both mine and my husband's faith. I am a child of the Goddess and he's Mormon. She had us both smiling with happy tears at the end of our ritual even though we had to say goodbye to this little one and we know that we will meet them someday on the other side when it's our time to cross over.

My name is Carisa Niemyer and I work as a doula and doula trainer in Colorado SpringsI found my way into doula work through the birth of my first child. My story didn't go exactly how I wanted and my baby had her own story of how she wanted to be born, as these babes often do. But after my delivery I felt so empowered and supported and loved my story. Much of the reason this was true was because of the support of a doula. That experience led me into the world of birth work and I have now been a doula for 18 years, working in both birth and postpartum, as well as training new doulas at Birthingway College of Midwifery in Portland OR as well as in my own training organization here in Colorado Springs. I am passionate about supporting families in whatever their birth choices are, and believe non-judgemental, continuous support thought a families journey can make all the difference! I have worked with a lot of families over the years and each story has been unique and beautiful. I have experience is both high risk and low risk pregnancies. Hospital births as well as home births. I also have experience with twins and triplets, both in birth and postpartum work. My hope is that each family I work with feels empowered and supported in whatever choices they make as they boldly enter this new season of life!

Recent review

When I tell my birth story, I always end up singing Carissa's praises! She was there for us as we prepped for the birth of our first son and was by my side throughout labor and delivery. She was so encouraging and grounding and kept me going throughout an extremely exhausting labor process. My homebirth didn't go as expected, and I ended up pushing for over 3 hours at home before I transferred to the hospital and eventually ended up getting a c-section due to really tricky positioning. Carissa was by my side from 7 am to about 1 am the next day when my son finally arrived. At home, Carissa encouraged me, helped me try every position imaginable to encourage my baby to come down, and helped my husband know how to best support and love me. When we transferred, Carissa was by my side the whole time, explaining things to me and helping us make choices for each next step. When we finally went in for our C-section, I was able to pick one other person to be there, aside from my husband, and Carissa was the obvious choice (even over my sister and my midwife, both whom I adore, of course!). Carissa also took the most amazing photos with one of our phones during the surgery and I'm so thankful to have those memories! She was there for me in recovery and helped my son latch for the first time and continued to be a support to me in postpartum. I tell ALL of my friends who are having babies to hire Carissa, and of course, it was a no-brainer that she would be by my side as I deliver my second baby in a matter of weeks! If you're looking for a doula, look no further!

From day one when I interviewed Sareya, I knew that she was going to be a perfect fit for our family. She started caring for my son when he was three months old. We only have good things to say about Sareya. She is timely, professional, and most of all my son lights up when he sees her walk through the door. Sareya is a caregiver that provides compassionate care. She also will take the time to listen and adjust care depending on the day to day. You would be incredibly lucky to have Sareya working alongside you and your family. We are going to miss having Sareya with us each week, but we know that she’s going to do great things working as a doula and postpartum caregiver.

Making the investment to have supported Postpartum care, especially from an Ayurvedic perspective was not just exactly what I had wished for, but I cannot FATHOM a greater gift for the health of our newborn child. I felt like a peaceful, supported, and loved Momma through the whole process which truly allowed me to be the most present with our newborn. Emily is an actual angel on earth. I only wish that every single birthing person had this type of postpartum support. Our little one is now 5 months old and I believe WHOLE-HEARTEDLY that his gentle, calm, and happy disposition is a result of the care and safety that I felt postpartum which allowed me to be fully present with him. Emily worked diligently and silently doing all of the big and little things that afforded us as a new family the maximum amount of time together to just marinate in our little love bubble. I didn't have to think (EVER) about what I was going to eat, or if I had hydrated enough, about eating the right things etc. Not only was my belly nourished, but she helped with postpartum massage, belly wrapping, provided a listening ear, and left me with so many helpful herbs, tinctures, and magical Ayurvedic potions. I am forever grateful for my time spent with Emily who I am sure will now be a lifelong friend. Thank you Emily! Infinitely! Your gift is something undeniable. We are FOREVER grateful.
