I have a background as an herbalist; most of my midwifery training was done with the Amish in Pennsylvania and in low-resource settings outside of the US (you can find my full bio on my website). I provide midwifery care now matter where you plan to birth — prenatal care, postpartum care, newborn care, lab work, family planning counseling, breastfeeding & lactation support. And I mostly attend home births/water births for my clients including VBACs, I offer support in your home, or you can come to one of my offices (Solana Beach or Costa Mesa). In clinical settings, she has done psychotherapy work and assessment work with survivors of complex trauma for 13 years. Dr. Rajan has spent her entire career working in diverse cultural and socio-economic communities in California and India.

I have chosen to dedicate my time to helping pregnant humans and their partners take control of their birthing and early parenting experience using techniques that were useful to me in my own parenting journey. I first found Hypnobabies Childbirth Hypnosis when I was pregnant with my first baby and working as a bedside nurse in a busy hospital postpartum unit. I knew my body was meant to give birth, but I felt the negativity and fear of those around me was preventing me from enjoying this transformative time in my life. Hypnobabies Childbirth Hypnosis gave me back my joy and even more. It gave me a confidence and excitement about birth that I didn't even know was possible. I went on to become a board certified lactation consultant and certified maternal newborn nurse and also attended many births as an L&D nurse. 11 years and 2 Hypnobabies of my own later, I am so happy to share this complete childbirth education class with my community and bring joy and love into the lives of birthing families.

My name is Tina Louise and I love supporting families around their birth experience. I'm passionate about birth and working to improve birth outcomes in Los Angeles and surrounding areas. I attended my first birth at the age of 16 years in a homebirth community and knew this was a calling for me. I attended home births, birth centers and hospital births, and finally decided to become certified as a Doula in 2014. I have volunteered with Joy in Birthing Foundation, worked as a private doula under Doula Sisters LA and began with SBCC a as a Community-based Doula in 2018. I am experienced in all forms of doula support, Lactation, Childbirth Education, Spinning Babies, Placenta Encapsulation, Infant Massage and a Reiki II practitioner. I am currently only taking at risk clients for doula support through SBCC and providing birth placenta encapsulation, Spinning Babies classes and Reiki II sessions to Southwest Los Angeles, Long Beach and surrounding cities.

I am an Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consultant, parent educator, and mother of four with personal experience breastfeeding my four children through a variety of challenges for about six years. My nursing experience includes two years in NICU. I'm not currently licensed in California as a registered nurse. As a new mother, I was so thankful to have in-home support. This is the same model I have developed my lactation services on. Early and often works well for establishing your milk supply. It also works well to provide support to new parents as they adjust to life with a new baby. I provide free ongoing follow-up support to all consultations to help you embrace motherhood with confidence.
