I am a mother of two, an RN since 1991, Lactation Consultant since 2013 and in private practice since 2018. My passion is helping women reach their breastfeeding goals for their babies. I fell in love with this work after witnessing and guiding my grandson into the world. I enjoy all areas of the journey from pregnancy to postpartum and beyond. My background is a combined 15 yrs experience working in pediatrics and ob/gyne. My practice is rooted in presence, compassion, emotional well-being, and a judgment free zone for families seeking support. In my spear time I enjoy yoga, walks, hikes, family visits and a great night out with my partner.

I am passionate about empowering birthing families to actively prepare for childbirth. Through my own experiences, I felt that there was a gap in labor support between healthcare professionals and labor partners. Many birthing people I have interacted with describe fear and apprehension as they approached their labor. Even more tragically, many birthing families have expressed disappointment or even trauma from a birth experience that felt poorly communicated, emergent, and out of their control. Part of my mandate is to know the limitations of the healthcare system and to educate families to advocate for their own birth using current and evidence-based information. Not knowing what you do not know can lead to overwhelming decisions and out-of-control situations. I also provide experienced, trained hands-on support during the labor to create a consistent, personalized, and safe environment which can decrease the need for medical interventions and increase overall birth satisfaction.

We are a therapy clinic that offers in-person or telehealth speech, feeding, occupational, and physical therapy to children and young adults. After dedicating 23 years to being a stay-at-home mom for my three children, I made a significant decision in November 2022 to channel my time and energy into pursuing my passion for becoming a labor and birth doula. Reflecting on my own four deliveries, I realized the immense value a doula could have provided by offering education, empowerment, and encouragement to advocate for myself. I chose the certification program aligned with my goals, completing 27 hours of in-person learning. As a Board Certified Lactation consultant (IBCLC), I am clinically trained and licensed to work within Georgia. My clients can benefit from an in person consultation in my Duluth office located in Gwinnett County, I can travel to your home for home consults and provide virtual consultations. I also teach prenatal lactation classes. Additionally, our local support groups are a unique blend of peer-to peer support with my expert input. My Doula services are built on evidenced based approach. I blend my training with lessons I have learned along the way to be your perfect Doula. Dr. Martin is a physical therapist and sex counselor of over 15 years experience, and the owner of JMM Health Solutions in Duluth Georgia specializing in pelvic, perinatal and sexual health. Dr. Martin is also a birth and postpartum doula, providing support and education to families in the Atlanta metro area. Additionally, she is an evidence-based instructor and childbirth educator, providing evidence-based information to families surrounding birth. When not working clinically, Dr. Martin mentors other birth doulas as well as other pelvic floor therapists. She is a licensed and certified instructor with the National Black Doulas Association and an instructor of the Birth Doula Training for Clinicians with The Pelvic PT Doulas.

I have 10 years of professional early childcare/infant care experience. When I am not serving my clients, you can usually find me traveling to my favorite places, eating good food, and shopping!
