Hi, I’m Kortney! Growing up, I was afraid of birth. When I became pregnant with my first, birth became inevitable. Navigating pregnancy and birth preparation was overwhelming and never ending. I took a childbirth class and it was like have a tour guide to help me navigate on my journey. I became passionate about doing this for others as well. Luminary Birth provides comprehensive childbirth education to shine a light on your power from within and from those who came before you. To empower birthing people to make informed decisions for themselves and their babies throughout pregnancy, birth, and beyond. ​ Our mission is to provide a safe, sacred space where all people can feel welcome and open while we pull back the curtain on birth and explore what is happening to the human body, what our options are, and how we can find support for all that is to come.

Hi, I’m Malaika I am a certified postpartum doula dedicated to supporting families during the early weeks with their newborn. I provide nurturing care, newborn support, and a calming presence to help you thrive during this special time. I hold a bachelors degree in psychology and have worked as an assistant teacher at a Montessori school. I am in the process of getting my masters in speech pathology. I have an understanding of child development and enjoying creating a positive and nurturing environment for kids. My goal is to help you feel confident, cared for, and never alone as you adjust to this new chapter.

Hello! My name is Melissa Guerra, and I am a birth and postpartum doula, a certified lactation specialist, a yoga teacher, and a mother to 5 amazing humans. I center my practice around trusting our bodies and using my knowledge of physiological birth, to make labor as smooth as possible. I also view birth as one of the most sacred moments we can experience, and want to make sure each parent experiences that as well.
