My name is Rebecca Duerr (pronounced DO-err). I am the founder of Mindful Family Wellness, Certified Labor Doula, Postpartum Doula, Certified HypnoBirthing® Childbirth Educator, a North Carolina Licensed Nutritionist, Certified Nutrition Specialist, and Certified Placenta Arts Specialist. I live just north of Charlotte, NC, in the Lake Norman area with my husband, 4 daughters, and lots of fur babies. As a doula and nutritionist whose practice serves the Charlotte and Lake Norman areas of North Carolina, I support birthing people improve their overall health, birth outcome, and mental wellness through the experiences of pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period. I use such tools and services as childbirth education classes, doula support through pregnancy, labor/birth and postpartum, as well as nutritional guidance and education for both mother and baby. Providing these services has been shown to increase positive birth outcomes, reduce cesarean section births, reduce postpartum mental disorders such as postpartum depression/anxiety (PPD/A) and postpartum post-traumatic stress disorder, (PPTSD) increase breast/chest-feeding success and duration, and strengthen the holistic health of both parent and child. As you can see, I offer a number of different services. As a NC Licensed Nutritionist, I provide integrative and functional nutrition counseling for the entire family. I also provide doula support, including pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. I am a Hypnobirthing® childbirth educator and have new classes starting monthly. The beauty of providing these services is that I can help you in one area or in many. I can see you or your family for nutritional guidance. I can see you for pregnancy and birth support, as a doula. Or we can combine these services. The possibilities are endless.

My name is Sydney Mobley. I am a married, mother of two. We are a Christian family who loves Christ! We have a small farm in Lowrys, South Carolina. My family and I love all things outdoors, including our horses, chickens, our Great Pyrenees, Lucy and our garden! Having experienced two very different births myself, I felt called to help empower other women through their own birth experience and help guide them to make the best decisions for their birth, their baby and their families!

Jawanna Gaines

My name is Jawanna Gaines, and I walk with women and families across the thresholds of birth, postpartum, womb healing, and, when needed, loss. My own journey — through womb surgeries, healing, and the calling into doula work — attuned me to the deep wisdom of the body and the sacred nature of life’s passages. I believe birth, like death, is not only a physical event but also a spiritual initiation — one that deserves to be witnessed, honored, and held with reverence. My philosophy is rooted in presence, intentionality, and ceremony. I am here not to direct your path, but to hold steady light as you cross your own, offering care that is gentle, grounded, and deeply human.

Hello! My name is Kristin Gunner, and I'm a certified Birth, Postpartum, and Bereavement Doula serving Charlotte, NC, and the surrounding areas. I became a doula after listening to the stories of friends and family members who have given birth. Most wished they had better support during their pregnancies, and I know they deserved better. I wanted to offer support to new parents and help them feel safe in their most vulnerable moments. My goal is to ensure you feel supported, heard, and empowered. I want you to feel confident in your decisions, knowing you always have someone on your side. I'm here to help you on your journey, no matter what that looks like.

So glad I picked a doula and Giah was awesome, a breath of fresh air. So attentive, loving and such an amazing help. This was my second birth with Giah wouldn't have done it without her. She was our in person doula from beginning to postpartum.
