Hello! I am a first-time mom expecting my baby in early September and am looking for a compassionate, experienced postpartum doula to support my family during the first 4–6 weeks after birth. I would prefer someone with at least 3–5 years of postpartum experience, current CPR/First Aid certification, and ideally lactation support (IBCLC or equivalent experience). Experience caring for mothers recovering from a cesarean birth or higher-risk pregnancies is a plus. As our family has just relocated to Toronto, we have a very small space for now, having a dependable and proactive doula who can provide guidance, reassurance, and practical education during our transition to parenthood is especially important to us. I am looking for someone who will support both my baby’s care and my recovery. My priorities include newborn care, breastfeeding guidance, diapering, bathing, soothing techniques, overnight support (bringing the baby to me for feeds, changing diapers, settling the baby afterward), light baby-related laundry, bottle and pump sterilization, light meal preparation, and helping me establish a calm, confident routine as a new mother. I have had a pregnancy complicated by multiple uterine fibroids and iron-deficiency anemia (currently improving), so I would appreciate a doula who understands maternal recovery, recognizes warning signs, and encourages rest, hydration, and healing.
