Hello! My name is Zadah, I’m a mother of 2 from a small town in North Carolina. I’ve worked in healthcare for most of my adult life and I’ve noticed that as women, especially women of color, LGBTQIA+, and those of certain social status tend to be at higher risk of adverse birth experiences. We need advocates and other women to help support our path to better care. Did you know that 1 in 4 women experience symptoms of postpartum depression? They say it takes a village, but what about the women who don’t have a support system? I want to extend a hand and be the change that we as mothers deserve.

hi, I’m a current active mother baby nurse and have been doing this job for 18 years now. I’ve realized I would like to care for newborns but not in the hospital setting. I am very clean and calm. as well as a very good communicator from all my years in the hospital. I value peace and harmony and hold the family in the highest esteem. I love nature and have lived here for over 30 years and have been married for over 30 years. My two children are 25 and 30 and my daughter who is 30 will be moving back home with her husband. I don’t have any grandchildren yet and my husband ran the local college farm for 20 years. I’m a closet artist and my house is filling up with beautiful art I have created over the last 10 years. My husband and I also love to garden and have lots of house plants and orchids.

Amanda Linderman is an experienced registered nurse, beginning her career in 2010 working in pediatrics, where her specialty was the Pediatric ICU for 7 years. In 2019, she transitioned to supporting postpartum mothers. Her passion for this field and her personal experience as a new Mother, led her to attain her IBCLC certification in the same year. Amanda's current role involves assisting new mothers during the initial three days post-birth and providing specialized care for NICU infants in the hospital setting.

I'm Kathleen. I am passionate about all things pregnancy, birth and postpartum. My desire is to be and help create "a village" of support for new moms. Sometimes this is physically helping out families in the home, or it may also be taking your call to answer one of the thousands of questions that you have in the first few weeks. And the moments I want to be there for the most are the ones you think aren't important enough to share or you think it's just you. As your doula, It is my desire that you feel fully empowered and supported in your own personal postpartum journey. Free from judgement or pressure.

I am a mother to four children and when my first and fourth babies were newborns, they gave me many breastfeeding challenges. It was with the support of skilled lactation consultants that I was able to develop a plan to be able to continue to breastfeed. I became a lactation consultant because I desire to support moms in the comfort of their own homes as they overcome challenges while feeding their babies. It is a joy and honor to get to do what I do and I love building relationships with the families I serve. Before I was a lactation consultant, I was a birth doula. I’ve been supporting growing families for over a decade.
