We’d love to learn good parenting habits and what to look for when it comes to discomfort signs. I myself can handle laundry and cleaning but I would like someone to mainly focus on the mother and giving her support.

Hi! I am pregnant (10 weeks) with my first child and just saw the heartbeat yesterday at my scan. After my (pretty bad) experience with a missed miscarriage, I realized that, while I am good at advocating for myself in a healthcare setting, that I am essentially unable to with pregnancy because I don't know *what* I can even advocate for. Friends have suggested that a doula can help with this! I also have friends who recommend finding someone who is able to provide overnight services postpartum. I don't know whether that's something you'd even be open to (and imagine you'd want to first meet and understand anyone before working with them first!) but that's where I am at and what I am interested in! We are looking for someone to help at night through Oct and probably Nov. At least Fri, Sat and Sun. We have a 9 day old. We want someone to help me become dad has to work 7 days a week right now and can’t really help. It would include feedings, soothing her to sleep. Doing her bottle dishes and maybe folding her laundry. We do have a dog but she will be in her kennel at night. I honestly do not know what a fair rate is but I am willing to talk about it!
