As my own life shifted toward a more holistic and intentional path, I realized that birth, healing, and connection could be honored in a much deeper way. Lauren is a trained postpartum doula certifying with CAPPA and holds a master's degree from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health where she researched perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, infant feeding, equity & doula care. She also co-chairs the Board of Directors for Postpartum Support International's Maryland Chapter. Most importantly though, she's a mom of 3. She came to this work after a frustrating and painful postpartum experience with her first born when she was a young mom. After birthing her first two children within the traditional OB/GYN hospital system, she decided to have an unmedicated, Midwife-attended home birth with her 3rd.
