About me

Meet Medina, I wear many titles with pride — wife, mother, student midwife, Maryland licensed massage therapist (Lic#R03337), certified birth and postpartum doula, and author. But at the heart of it all, I’m simply someone who is devoted to women’s health, healing, and empowerment. My passion for nurturing others comes from a long line of generous souls — my mother, my grandparents, whose kindness and selflessness shaped who I am today. My grandfather devoted his life to serving his community, and my grandmother has always been the quiet backbone of our family, giving from the heart without hesitation. Their example taught me that true generosity is showing up for others with love and presence, and that principle runs through every part of my work. I’m a proud graduate of the Holistic Massage Training Institute, where I began my journey into bodywork and holistic healing. Over the years, I’ve specialized in prenatal, fertility, infant, and postpartum massage, helping women release physical tension and rediscover balance in their bodies. I also help many clients find relief from chronic neck and lower back pain, drawing on more than four years of therapeutic experience. My educational journey has included studies at Anne Arundel Community College and Western Governors University, and I’m currently advancing my midwifery studies through the National College of Midwifery while apprenticing under several licensed midwifes. My calling toward birth work was born of my own motherhood journey. My first childbirth experience showed me the power of a supportive birth team, but my second reminded me how deeply a lack of support can impact a woman. That moment became the turning point that led me to dedicate my life to women’s wellness — ensuring that every woman feels seen, supported, and cared for during one of life’s most transformative experiences. In 2022, I was honored to receive the Good Heart Award from The Shades of Blue Project during Black Maternal Health Week, recognizing my commitment to uplifting and caring for families in the birthing community. My work has also been featured in publications such as Motherly, Beauty Boost Baltimore, and Voyage Baltimore. Every client I serve, every birth I attend, and every family I serve is an extension of that same legacy of care that was passed down from my family. I’m here to create spaces where women feel safe, nurtured, and empowered to trust their bodies — because generosity, to me, is the act of helping others remember their own strength. I hired Medina to be my doula for the birth of my twins. I knew from our initial consultation that she would be a great fit. Medina was very knowledgeable about how to support labor and listened to all my concerns and desires. I also appreciated that she provided a prenatal massage as well and went over some exercises to manage my different pains. She also provided plenty of literature and videos on exercises, prenatal support, and labor support. During labor I really enjoyed her ability to direct me through changing positions, encourage breath work, and offering counter pressure for back and hip pain. Without her I would not have been able to manage things as well as I did with her present. I am very thankful to have had her there and highly recommend her.

I would highly recommend Medina for a doula! I really wanted to give birth without an epidural and I did thanks to Medina for being there and encouraging me. My husband was very happy with having her there, she was able to give him ideas on how to help me through the contractions. I would definitely have Medina attend another birth if we ever have another baby. The pregnancy massage was amazing as well!

Medina was instrumental in helping me achieve the unmedicated hospital birth I had hoped for. She arrived just in time and quickly sprang into action. Medina knew what to do and when. I was able to stay “in the zone” and she just responded to my body language. She suggested new positions, utilized the TENS unit, applied counter pressure, massage, and provided other measures all while being calm and reassuring. So grateful for her help and support! Happy to have a better birth story this time around- thanks to Medina!

Medina was the doula for my daughter and her husband, and from the very beginning, she brought warmth, grace, and calm to the entire journey. Her emotional and physical support extended not just to them, but to me as well — an anxious first-time grandmother. With her gentle guidance, I learned how beautiful and peaceful the birthing experience could be. She created an atmosphere that felt sacred and loving — dim lights, soft candle glow, birth affirmations playing in the background, and a mesmerizing galaxy ceiling overhead. Throughout it all, Medina offered steady reassurance, soothing back massages, and heartfelt encouragement. Her presence turned what could have been a stressful experience into one filled with serenity, strength, and love.

I first met Medina divinely when I booked her for a prenatal massage around 5 months into my pregnancy. At the time, I had hopes of finding a doula but hadn’t been proactive. After my massage appointment and our conversation about her doula services, I knew immediately that I wanted her to be part of my birthing experience. From start to finish, Medina provided a warm, informative, and supportive presence. She made me feel at ease with all the knowledge she shared and truly helped me feel comfortable throughout the birth process. What stood out most was her holistic, all-inclusive approach—covering pre-care, post-care, and everything in between, including the massages that helped so much along the way. Working with Medina was an absolute pleasure. She not only supported me but also received so many compliments from the hospital staff for her professionalism and kind, attentive care. I am so grateful for the experience and highly recommend her to any expectant mother looking for both guidance and genuine compassion on their birthing journey.

Five stars across the board. Been coming in for the last 2 months to get my prenatal massages, and Medina is just as sweet as pie. I love the atmosphere and the ambiance, very relaxing and soothing. Also Medina takes her time with her clients and gives out very informative information to expecting mothers. Definitely will be coming back in the future.

I cannot express my gratitude to Medina enough for being an amazing Doula and support system during my pregnancy, birth and postpartum journey! At My Meaningful Health, Medina provided me with insightful information, practices and resources for me to reach my VBAC goal. She gave me a strong sense of confidence and security during my challenging pregnancy. I had a C-section 17 months ago and my OB team doubted that I would be able to successfully have a VBAC this pregnancy. I’m so thankful that I worked closely with Medina to prepare my mind, body and womb to deliver my baby this time around. She was very professional, empathetic and knowledgeable during the whole process. Her expertise and passion for birth work is evident! I was able to successfully have a VBAC after working with My Meaningful Health! I recommend Medina as a Doula for any expectant mom that wants a beautiful birth experience!!

I’m 39 weeks pregnant and very hard to please at this point, but my prenatal massage with Medina was absolutely out of this world. From the moment she arrived and set everything up in my home, she brought such a peaceful, grounded presence. It felt like I already knew her — her warmth, calm energy, and professionalism immediately put me at ease. The massage itself was nothing short of magical. Her pressure and pacing were perfect — so intuitive, so effective. I had been dealing with some sciatic pain for a few days, but when I stood up after the session, the pain was completely gone. I also felt noticeably more balanced and aligned on both sides of my body, like she had helped me reset. Medina is truly a miracle worker, not just with her hands, but with her spirit. I felt so deeply nourished, both physically and emotionally. Her care and presence had a huge impact on my mental health as well as my body. I cannot wait to book her again postpartum. If you’re considering a massage with Medina — do it. She’s an absolute gem.
