Growing up with six brothers and one sister, she mastered the art of caring for her siblings and is often hailed as the best big sister ever! Tallina lives in Portland with her two spouses and their three furry companions: Zuko, the playful landshark dog; Rory, the wise old cat; and Falcor, the curious kitty. In her free time, she enjoys reading, spending time with her family, and creating fun, funky art for her yard. After years of working with toddlers and families in daycare and outreach programs, Tallina discovered her passion for birth work. Following her training and certification, she went from being curious about birth to being utterly in love with the science and magic behind it. Her goal is to support clients in achieving their ideal birth experience. Tallina understands that childbirth can be challenging, so she works closely with your birth team. Her trauma-aware, family-focused approach aims to empower you with knowledge and resilience. She fosters an atmosphere of laughter and love in the birthing suite and at home. I have been in the medical field for 29 years. I owned care homes for 10 years. I always wanted to help expectant parents and babies. I work with our local pregnancy crisis center as well as the birthing center. I am not only a Doula, I also teach classes on what a doula means and how it can be beneficial for expectant parents. As well as also teaching birthing classes.
