I can’t say enough about the gift Esmé was to our family. My wife and I welcomed twins while also caring for a 2-year-old, and Esmé seamlessly entered our home with a calm, grounding presence. She was a quiet, yet deeply reassuring support, helping us navigate our many questions and tending thoughtfully to our needs as postpartum parents. Without judgment, she skillfully supported and guided the care of both our newborns and our toddler. We are incredibly grateful for the care she provided our family during such a tender time. She helped our experience shift from surviving to thriving.

My name is Aijanae, the visionary founder of Village to Village Doulas, a premier doula agency renowned for its holistic and compassionate approach to childbirth and postpartum care. My journey into the world of maternal support was deeply personal and transformative. My son, my baby boy Jahsiah was diagnosed with Hepatoblastoma just as I had booked my calendar for the year, I was faced the immense challenge of balancing my professional and personal life. This experience underscored the importance of having a trusted support system during life's most vulnerable moments. Leveraging my personal journey, I established Village to Village Doulas to provide unparalleled support to local Doulas and parents navigating the complexities of childbirth and early parenthood.

Recent review

I have had such a positive, stress-free postpartum experience, and that is in very large part thanks to Aijanae. I feel so lucky to have found her and her team - from the moment I first talked to her, I knew I would want her to support me and my family. She exudes calm, and she is incredibly knowledgeable, and she is very generous with her time. Aijanae supported me for the first 6 weeks with overnights, and then her team (Jazzy, Wren, and Hailey) joined to support for the following 4 weeks. I thoroughly enjoyed Aijanae's company during the middle of the night feedings and so appreciated all her advice on breastfeeding and newborn care (and appreciated her folding laundry, doing some meal prep, and cleaning pump parts). Aijanae really cares about you as a new mother and goes out of her way with texts, phone calls, and in-person conversations to make sure you feel heard and supported. My experience with Jazzy, Wren, and Hailey was also great. They are all clearly experts in what they do. And the great thing about working with an agency, like Aijanae's agency, is that if you have a longer term contract like I did and someone inevitably gets sick or can't make a shift, there is always someone else who can cover. Our 10 weeks with Aijanae and her team were a big financial commitment, but it was worth every penny. I would wholeheartedly recommend Aijanae and Village to Village to any family who wants a smoother postpartum experience.

In a world of social media, “parenting experts” are everywhere - the information overload can be so overwhelming and paralyzing, especially as first time parents… enter Zoe. The hardest thing to embrace as a first time mum was knowing how much you don’t know, so having support, both hands on and virtually, from a postpartum doula made all the difference. Zoe’s knowledge in childcare and child development, as well as postpartum care (with a genuine emphasis on CARE) has made all the difference in our first three months as parents. Any new parents know it’s easy to feel like you’re blundering through, and just trying to survive. Zoe’s demeanor is that of, “you are the parents, you are experts in YOUR child,” as she guides us with her own expertise. She has not only helped to educate, but has given us the tools and encouragement to implement new practices for ourselves. From answers about baby sleep - both naps and nighttime, routines and schedules, lactation support, to the ever important parental care (self care IS caring for your baby, thanks for the reminder, Zoe), developmental milestones, and even playtime (how do you play with a baby? Zoe knows). She has been a delight to work with, her communication is excellent, and in a time that can be frightening and isolating, Zoe has ensured that post partum is not something we ever felt “alone” in. After working with Zoe, it is impossible to think of how different our experience would have been without her, and we are so grateful for the opportunity to have worked with her, and will hopefully get to work with her again for future children

I believe that all people, but particularly people in childbirth, can do hard things because they are full of love and that love gives them power. I love seeing people experience that power, and I am passionate about protecting their wellbeing as they do so. As a doula, my goal is not to try to “save” you from the process of childbirth (you don’t need to be saved) or tell you how to birth, but to support you with reliable information, a listening ear, and practical help so that you can fully embrace your birth experience, no matter what it looks like.

Madeline is a close friend of mine and I was so excited to have her as my doula for my first baby! Unfortunately, I ended up needing a C-section not too soon after my "labor" started. Although we didn't get to thoroughly practice all the labor prep we had done together (i.e. birth classes, spinning babies videos, recommended books on labor, podcasts to listen to, going through my birth plan, etc.), Maddie was an excellent source of encouragement and helped me grieve the labor I didn't get. She was there for me in the weeks after my baby's birth and visited us multiple times while we were in the NICU, being an invaluable resource to us during a hard time. We are lucky to know her!

Working with Teresa has been an absolute dream. She is one of those providers that you simply cannot top. She is warm, communicative, and so so incredibly talented. I reccomend her to each and every one of my clients who needs overnight support I cannot accomodate. When I tell you Teresa is GIFT to the Seattle postpartum community I truly MEAN it. I tell my clients I would trust Teresa with MY own children if I were to have them and they can too. Her professionalism, background, and immense community impact makes her unparalled provider. If you have a question about it she has seen it, done it, conquered it. I truly cannot reccomend her enough. I also see this immensely benevolent side of her - this work goes far beyond any fee her clients pay. It's soul work. She wants to help. She cares. She is your VILLAGE. Teresa is the dream team member every postpartum client needs. I would reccomend Teresa without any hesistation for any of your postpartum needs.

Hello, we’re Jessica, Autumn, and Jordan—three certified birth doulas (and photographers) serving families who desire to feel deeply supported, seen, and prepared as they welcome new life. We believe birth matters—not only the outcome, but the experience: how a woman is treated, how she’s supported, and how she remembers it. Our role is to be a calm, steady presence—listening well, praying over your journey if you wish, and holding space for both the intensity and the beauty of birth. Whether you’re preparing for an unmedicated birth, navigating past trauma, planning a VBAC, or simply want a trusted guide in the room, we provide evidence-based guidance, hands-on comfort, and heartfelt encouragement. Our hope is that you look back on your birth feeling empowered, informed, and cared for—body, mind, and spirit.

Working with Jessica as our doula was one of the best decisions we made during our pregnancy journey. From the very beginning, she was amazing—supportive, knowledgeable, and incredibly kind. Her initial consultation and two pre-birth meetings were packed with helpful information that made us feel so empowered and prepared going into labor. During the birth, Jessica was truly in tune with what I needed. She had this calm presence that grounded the whole room, and when we were in the thick of labor and forgot parts of our birth plan, she gently and confidently advocated for us. She also captured the most beautiful photos during the birth—images we’ll treasure forever. What amazed us even more is that her photography never took away from her doula support; she was fully present the entire time—I didn’t even realize she was taking pictures! A few days after our birth, she came over to our home to check in on us, making sure we were all doing well physically, mentally, and emotionally. She brought a huge, delicious jar of homemade bone broth with her, and it felt like the most thoughtful gift. We are beyond thankful for everything Jessica did for us. Her genuine care, compassion, and expertise made all the difference in our pregnancy, birth, and postpartum experience.

Hello I'm a previous neonatal nurse who now works in pediatric care. I miss my days being with newborns and would love to be able to help your family out. I have two boys in school and I still work as a nurse so my availability is weekdays from 9-3. As a mom I understand the need to be able to rely on your childcare provider being on time, responsible and have good communication with the parents. While I am a licensed nurse, my in-home services are provided in a non-clinical capacity. Due to licensing regulations, I am not permitted to practice as a nurse outside a hospital or approved healthcare facility. Instead, I offer support, education, and wellness services based on my experience and expertise.

Welcome! I’m so glad you’re here. My name is Yael Woods, and I have had the deep honor of serving as a birth, postpartum, fertility, and bereavement doula for the past eight years. As a current student midwife, I am continually expanding my clinical knowledge and deepening my commitment to physiological birth and evidence-based care. My mission is to reduce the alarming rates of maternal and infant mortality especially among marginalized communities by providing compassionate, culturally competent, and individualized support before, during, and after birth. Whether you are navigating fertility, preparing to give birth, healing postpartum, or grieving a loss, I am here to hold space, offer guidance, and walk with you every step of the way. As your doula, I am here to support your birth journey by helping you prepare for birth, feel empowered, & serve you in way that feels the most safe + authentic to you! As a person of color with a chronic illness, I know firsthand how difficult it is to feel heard and understood by the health care system. I come into this work with an evidence based approach and align myself with anti-racist, HAES (health at every size), gender affirming & trauma informed care.
