Welcome! I’m so glad you’re here. My name is Yael Woods, and I have had the deep honor of serving as a birth, postpartum, fertility, and bereavement doula for the past eight years. In that time, I’ve walked alongside countless families through some of the most sacred and powerful moments of their lives. My work is rooted in a fierce passion for honoring the body’s innate wisdom, supporting the full spectrum of reproductive experiences, and advocating for safer, more respectful care for all birthing people. As a current student midwife, I am continually expanding my clinical knowledge and deepening my commitment to physiological birth and evidence-based care. My mission is to reduce the alarming rates of maternal and infant mortality especially among marginalized communities by providing compassionate, culturally competent, and individualized support before, during, and after birth. Whether you are navigating fertility, preparing to give birth, healing postpartum, or grieving a loss, I am here to hold space, offer guidance, and walk with you every step of the way. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my son and partner, going to concerts, writing and hitting the beach.

Hi, I’m Yael Woods, a birth, postpartum, fertility, and bereavement doula with 8 years of experience, and a current student midwife. I created this practice with deep love and intention to serve all families with a passion for supporting Black, Indigenous, and other families of color through the full spectrum of reproductive experiences. This work is personal to me. I know that for so many of us, our bodies, our births, and our babies have not always been honored the way they should be. That’s why I’m here: to protect your story, uplift your voice, and stand with you every step of the way. My practice is rooted in radical care and ancestral wisdom. I’m passionate about physiological birth, informed choice, and holding space for both joy and grief. Whether you are calling in new life, preparing for birth, navigating postpartum healing, or moving through loss—this is a space where you are seen, affirmed, and supported with intention. I believe in community care, and I am deeply committed to reducing the unacceptable maternal and infant mortality rates in BIPOC communities by offering care that is grounded in advocacy, compassion, and cultural respect.
