I am Drea Kelly, the founder of River Wild Doula Services, and I am so happy you're here! I have always known I was called to this work... to hold space in the sacred, in-between places where we are transformed by the rivers running wild through us. My name is Allie Contreras. I am an army Brat, I was born in Germany and raised in the south and El Paso, TX. I have been a certified Doula since 2022. I am married to my best friend, he is my person, and truly understands and supports our family. We have two amazing kids Evelyn (9) and Logan (6). They are my reason for being and keep me going in life. My hobbies are going to the gym and listening to podcasts and books. I also started Midwifery school May 2023! I love women's health and learning all that I can about it! I started my journey with birth work in 2007 after watching the Business of Being Born. After two unmedicated births, one home birth myself, my love of birth continued to grow. My midwife and doula showed me what it was to truly mother and mother myself. I overcame Postpartum Anxiety, and looked into what a Doula was and what role they played in the birth team. When my father died in October 2021, I realized how much we truly need to cherish life and to follow our passions. I had been a Cosmetologist and Esthetician for 10 years and finally took the leap into birth work! It has been joyous and eye opening. I truly feel called to this work. I feel happiest serving others, and I am very passionate about serving LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC families. I want to emotionally support, because I was not given that. I have worked for rescue missions and the child crisis center. To be able to help a birthing person during the most transformative moments is a privilege.

Hi! I'm Noelle and I'm a birth and postpartum doula. I was born and raised on an island off the coast of Maine and grew up with Acadia National Park as my backyard. As a former Air Force spouse, I have traveled and lived in some of the most beautiful places in the United States. My family and I moved to San Antonio in 2019. I enjoy spending my free time with my 3 wonderful kiddos, big fur baby goldendoodle, and husband. I love to read, hike, travel, and bake. As a former military spouse, I realized the resources and support available to those families were limited. I gave birth to my first baby far away from my friends/family in a new place. I suffered from PPD/PPA and a few years later as a part of my healing, I decided to look into how I could help others like me. I switched my career field and became a doula -- immediately I knew I was doing the work that healed my soul and would help so many others.

Hello! I’m Taryn, a birth and postpartum doula born and raised great city of San Antonio! I have been a certified doula since 2022! I have a passion for helping women during the most intimate and vulnerable moments of their lives. By being a doula, I strive to help women find their voice to have a birth experience they can look back on with joy and confidence. I am married to the most wonderful man ever created (yes, I am bias), and together we have been blessed to raise two wonderful children: Ezra and Winnifred. We also have a gigantic white fluffball cat named Bento who loves to eat any type of food (even salads…). Outside of doula work, you will find me gardening, crafting, and playing board and video games! Additionally, I am obsessed with bread baking, and have a sourdough starter that has been alive longer than my kids! In February 2020, my husband and I were blessed to learn we were pregnant. One month later, the world completely shut down. With the unknowns of COVID, hospitals were continually changing policies on who would be allowed to support a mother during birth. With the fear of not having my husband with me, my research on alternatives began. Through my research, I learned about doulas, birth centers, home births, and unmedicated births. I learned that childbirth can be beautiful and joyful with the right support, and I wanted to become that support for other mothers and empower them to be their own voice! Both of my births were very different; one ending in a c-section the other a VBAC. Both have helped me secure my passion for this line of work. After working as a Financial Analyst Manger for a major company, my husband and I decided to take a step of faith and go down a new path. A more rewarding path. A path I know provides true value to our community.

A little bit about myself! I was born in Kansas, raised in Colorado! I moved to Texas in the summer of 2009. I have been a Postpartum and Birth Doula since 2021. Before be coming a doula I received a child development associates degree and became a preschool teacher for 8 years I also ran my own home daycare for a little over a year and I was a private nanny for 2 special needs children. I have a wonderful spouse and 5 beautiful children that are ages 17, 15, 11, 6 and 19 months old! As a family we all enjoy being outdoors, camping, going to the beach, and swimming in the Texas summers! I am a foodie and love going and trying local food trucks! My spouse and I also run our own food pop-up business here in San Antonio! I love being to be able to provide good nurturing meals for people! I became a doula after my own childbirth experiences. I was a teen mom at 15 years old and I didn't really feel supported by the health care system, at that time my mom was around and was very supportive of me and my choices to be a teen mom. But before my 3rd child was born my mom sadly passed away and I felt really alone during that Birth and Postpartum period because I really didn't have that motherly support during that season in my life. After my 4th pregnancy I found out about doulas and was able to have one with me during my birth she was an amazing advocate and helped me navigate so much through my all natrual birth wishes and also taught me how to advocate for myself. After that I knew my calling was to be a doula!! I love listening and supporting new moms any way I can. I feel all expecting parents deserve to have a trusted person that they won't be judged by so that they can feel comfortable asking questions and advice.

I'm a mom of 4 & Nana of 1, married to my soulmate for almost 24 years. Proud to be an Air Force veteran, I was Active duty when my first was born. Her birth was eye opening... and the reason I sought out different options for my second birth. My second was the first of 3 redeeming and beautiful home births, and that experience is what ignited my passion for birth. I wanted to be a midwife for several years but that wasn't in the cards. It was years later, shortly after making the move to pursue photography, that I found my passion in birth photography. From there, my desire to support and encourage birthing families only grew, and I sought out certification as a doula. Obviously I love being there when a sweet little soul makes its debut. It's more than that though! As a birth worker, I have the honor and privilege of witnessing transformations. That realization that they are able, that they are doing it, that they are about to meet their long awaited babies... that they CAN do hard things. That moment is worth the sleepless nights, sore muscles, and changed plans. That moment of empowerment and transformation brings a tear to my eyes. It never gets old. I specialize in documenting birth in photos and films as well as supporting through labor and birth. My passion is seeing each birthing family know their options, understand the pros & cons of each, and making informed choices that support the birth they want. Hello! I’m Gabrielle and I am a birth and postpartum doula. I was born and raised in a small town near Los Angeles, California and moved to Texas to open the first few In N Out Burgers in San Antonio. I met my husband and moved back to California to be more close to my family, but missed Texas- so we are back again! I have a husband, 2 kids, dogs, cats, and chickens. We are very active with our local shelter and almost always have a foster animal, or 3. For 2 years we lived in an RV traveling to 12 states, and we would love to see more. I homeschool my children, and in my free time I love to travel, explore nature, listen to music, and catch up on TV. I have a bachelor’s degree and I am currently going to school to become a Registered Nurse. After my second child, I realized how important it is to have a village. I believe if I had a postpartum doula, my fourth trimester would have been completely different. There are so many women that don’t have a good support system, even though everyone deserves one. Being able to help my family members and friends who were postpartum has been such a rewarding experience; it led me to seek out formal training in doula work so I could make a career out of helping people.

My youngest two children, are almost 24-months apart but are often mistaken as twins due to my middle child’s short stature and complex medical needs. As an educator, medical momma, and life-long learner I have made it my mission to be a resource in the community for those who need love and support. Hiking, Cooking/Baking and Creating art in various forms and helping others are my love languages! My greatest glimmer (sparkles for joy) are Plants! I love all things nature and outdoors - minus the heat and mosquitos. My family and my faith are a huge part of my life. When I’m not at a birth, at church or in the gym, you can find me dancing in the kitchen with my hubby and toddler. We’re a spontaneous and adventurous family, always trying new things and constantly making s’mores in the backyard. Life is a precious gift and I’m always finding ways to soak it all in. The deep desire to serve and love on mamas during a crucial time in their lives. That’s what brought me to doula work. The longing to help make every birth beautiful - to help every birthing person be heard and cared for. Before I was a doula, I worked briefly at the Freeman Coliseum and a bridal expo! But the Lord called me elsewhere. I love what I do - it would be a dream come true to be able to do this forever.

Hey, I’m Tess! I’m a birth and postpartum doula and placenta encapsulation specialist. I’ve been a birth worker since 2020 and have been serving moms in San Antonio since 2021. I married my best friend and we are raising our 4 beautiful kids, 2 of them are autistic, along with a few chickens. We love spending our time outside whenever we can whether that’s in the garden, on a trail or at the park. My aunt had 2 home births when I was a kid so from an early age I knew birth was beautiful, normal, and full of options and choices. When I got pregnant with my first, I researched everything from birth to baby soap but I still felt unsupported, uneducated and unprepared- especially as a first time mom and military wife with no family near me. I went a different route with my second birth which led me to dive deeper into the birth world and eventually becoming a doula was a natural next step for the knowledge and passion I was starting to culture and grow into. Knowing firsthand how important it is to feel seen, heard, supported, prepared and encouraged- I get the privilege of working with families to help them achieve that. I love getting to walk alongside families through such a life changing transition. Placenta encapsulation allows me to offer a different kind of support where I can also honor and memorialize something that sustained life and connected mom to baby before they ever got to meet each other.
