I am a certified postpartum doula and lactation educator, also have. A birth doula too, I have many families that I worked through carrot ensure, I have it experience with one baby and twins as a postpartum provider, working with over 150 families in Seattle, WA, LA CA and the Bay Area.

Recent review

We hired Anabelle as a postpartum night doula for the first few weeks after my daughter’s birth back in April. We were very happy with her service and found her to be trustworthy and reliable. She always showed up right on time and did a great job with taking care of my daughter’s night time feeds, putting her to sleep, diaper changes and washing my breast pump and bottle parts. Thanks to her I was able to catch up on some much needed sleep after knowing that my daughter was in good hands. We even extended our contract with her for a few more weeks. However, as she was traveling and had a contract with another family that was coming up she asked if it was okay to send her backup instead for those weeks. We really liked her backup Elida as well and don’t have any complaints about her service either. Overall I would recommend her (and her amazing backup) to any family looking for a good night doula!

I am Camila, founder of Sweet Tangerine Newborn Care. I am originally from Brazil and first moved to the U. S. as an Au Pair, but my story as a caregiver didn't start there. I've been working with children since 2011 when I started teaching preschool. Since then, I have always been involved in the area of education and child care. When I moved to San Francisco, I also had the opportunity to work as a nanny taking care of infants and toddlers. Being around babies and kids, and teaching them to develop and become amazing humans is a big part of me. I have dedicated myself to learning more and specializing in newborn care, which is the area that I love the most, especially now that I became a mom myself. Additional to my vast experience, I have a Master's degree in education science and many complementary courses in the area, such as Newborn Care Specialist, CPR, and first AID.

We are so grateful for the support Camila provided as our postpartum doula. She is incredibly knowledgeable and experienced, which gave us so much peace of mind as new parents. Thanks to her help, we were able to get great nights of rest knowing our baby was in expert hands. Camila went above and beyond to set us up for success. She provided us with a baby feeding and sleeping schedule—both day and night—that gave us a clear framework to follow for our child’s healthy growth. She also taught us many little tricks and soothing techniques that our baby really enjoys, which have made daily care so much easier. On top of that, she shared valuable guidance on breastfeeding and latching, which made a big difference in our confidence and comfort. Beyond her care, Camila always took the time to explain what she was doing and why, making sure we felt prepared to take things on our own. Her calm presence, thoughtful teaching, and genuine care made all the difference in those early weeks. We recommend Camila without a doubt to any family looking for postpartum support—she’s truly wonderful.

I experienced my first birth at 12 years old and knew from then on that I wanted to be involved in birth work and babies. After reading Ina May’s Guide to Childbirth during my first pregnancy, I was introduced to the term “doula” and knew that I wanted to be one. With the birth of my second child and having a doula, I KNEW that this was my calling. I am especially passionate about working with families of color and other marginalized communities that need support during pregnancy and beyond. I believe that everyone and anyone should have access to doula support. I am excited about the opportunity to support families in their birth and post-partum journey! Random facts about me: I have a daughter and a son. I think that dogs are a gift to humans. I am an avid reader- I can usually be found listening to an audio book throughout the day. I am currently a pre-counseling student with an end goal of earning my Doctorates degree to be a therapist. I am as passionate about mental health as I am about birth work. I look forward to supporting you and your family!

As a Newborn Care Specialist and Postpartum Doula, I provide gentle, responsive newborn care and support to caretakers. I specialize with overnight support. A Little Big Deal Newborn Care LLC focuses on supporting families with infants in their first 4 months of life (age adjusted) through direct care or consultations (virtually and in-person.) Services offered include daytime&overnight newborn care and postpartum support, lactation support, parent instruction on infant safety, developmental milestones, hygiene, sleep shaping, feeding, infant routines, ailments and concerns, nursery set-up, and Postpartum Mood and Anxiety Disorders. I encourage self monitoring for postpartum mood disorders (*I do NOT diagnose or treat such disorders.) I’m a Safe Sleep Ambassador trained through Cribs for Kids. Please be advised that I strictly adhere to the American Academy of Pediatrics Safe Sleep Recommendations while baby is under my care: this includes placing baby to sleep alone, on their back - on a firm, flat sleep surface that is free of objects including crib bumpers, blankets, pacifier clips, or toys (a space designed for infant sleep such as a crib/bassinet/pack n’ play is required.) I support all types of families with various traditions, practices, and philosophies without judgement. It’s an honor to help you become more confident in yourself, help you get the rest you need, and support your goals for your family’s life. Whether your priority is setting routines, stretching sleep durations, maximizing your milk supply, or learning the basics of baby care - I’m here to respectfully partner with you along the way. While I’m here to care for and guide you, I learn something new from each baby and parent I work with. In time, you’ll believe that you know your baby best and you’re what they need the most!

Kayla is an amazing doula who helped with our newborn twins girls for 5 months. She came 3 nights a week and by the end of the contract the babies were sleeping through the night!! The whole experience was so much better than I even imagined. I was so terrified of sleepless nights with twins while also taking care of our 3 year old during the day. Kayla supported us through all of it, and I cannot be more thankful.

Gisele was amazing with our newborn baby. She started with a week after we brought the baby home and stayed for 8 weeks - caring for the baby through the night. She was patient and quite knowledgeable about newborn care. Additionally, she paid attention to how we wanted the baby to be cared for and implemented the requests well. She was on time and professional and helped with things around the house as well. We highly recommend Gisele.

I believe every birthing person should have the right to a trauma free birth experience, where their beliefs, values and goals are heard and respected. Birthing bodies are powerful. My goal as a doula is to remind you of the power you hold. I have worked in the medical field for 13 years as a Certified Medical Assistant, Lead Medical Assistant Instructor, recently completed my Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Administration and gained Certification as a Birth and Postpartum Doula. I am a very motivated and determined person. As a dedicated mother and proud African American woman, my heart is deeply rooted in the wellbeing of our community. The glaring disparities in maternal health that disproportionately affect women of color are not just statistics to me; they are urgent calls to action that resonate with my own experiences and those of my loved ones. I am committed to leveraging my knowledge, resources, and voice to initiate and support sustainable changes within the healthcare system. My goal is to ensure that equitable, high-quality maternal care is not a privilege, but a standard afforded to all mothers, regardless of their socioeconomic status. Through community outreach, advocacy, and education, I strive to contribute to a world where maternal mortality in underserved communities is not a grim expectation but a rare exception. My mission is to fight for a future where every mother’s life is given the value it unequivocally deserves.

Kamilah supported us through evening and night support for my boy. She helped us understand baby cues and how to transition out of swaddle and how to put baby into bassinet. She also helped with understanding various bottle nipples and gave us training before delivery how to swaddle, dress the baby. She also recommended baby stuff that we should buy. She is very professional and I am also grateful for the emotional support provided by her during this difficult time. I never had to worry about my baby when she was around which certainly helped with faster recovery. She maintained a very positive and calming environment in the house for my baby. I would highly recommend her and would love to work with her again in future.
