As a Newborn Care Specialist, Postpartum Doula and career nanny specializing with infants, I provide gentle, expert newborn care and support to caretakers. My NCS and postpartum work focuses on supporting families with infants in their first 4 months of life (age adjusted) through direct care and consultations (virtually and in-person!) My background includes training and hands-on experience with basic lactation support, infant feeding, sleep conditioning, sleep safety, hygiene, routines, safety, ailments and concerns, nursery set-up, and Postpartum Mood and Anxiety Disorders. I encourage self monitoring for postpartum mood disorders (although I do not diagnose or treat such disorders.) I’m a Safe Sleep Ambassador trained through Cribs for Kids. Please be advised: I strictly adhere to the American Academy of Pediatrics Safe Sleep Recommendations, to reduce the risk of sleep-related infant deaths. I value my role supporting families postpartum. I appreciate opportunities to answer questions and provide support during this vulnerable time your family is changing and expanding. It is an honor to help parents become more confident in themselves, help them get the rest they need, and support their goals for their family life! Whether your priority is getting your baby on a schedule, stretching sleep lengths, maximizing your milk supply, or learning the basics of baby care - I am here to respectfully partner with you along the way.

As an overnight Newborn Care Specialist and Postpartum Doula, I wake up with your baby (or babies!) overnight to bottle-feed or to be brought to their parent to nurse, wash bottles, change diapers and store pumped milk. I’m here to provide evidence-based guidance and resources about baby and postpartum care. During the daytime, in a postpartum doula role I’m happy to offer support with dishes, laundry, and meals. As an NCS, I focus on newborn care and advice.
Kayla helped us with our newborn (1-2 months) on a weekly basis at night to give us some reprieve. She helped us with night feedings, washing of bottle/ pump parts, laundry folding, milk storage, etc. We loved how calm and patient she was with our colicky baby. We wish we could use her more often.

Kayla cared for our 6 month old baby and 3 year old as a nanny and overnight for two nights. Kayla was wonderful with our kids and a highly knowledgeable and skilled nanny. She always came prepared with age appropriate activities, put together fresh, healthy meals for the kids, and provided kind and loving care. She also supported my pumping and milk storage efforts, cleaning pump parts and storing milk between sessions. Kayla is absolutely a professional in this work!

Kayla took care of our 4 month old daughter for 1 week (40 hours) and was highly attentive, engaged, and knowledgeable with infants and young babies. She engaged with floor time, reading, outdoor exposure, and daytime naps following wake windows. She helped thoroughly wash and when needed sanitize all bottles and pump parts. She also provided resources and support with nursing when asked. Our daughter was in very good care with Kayla and we enjoyed the time very much.
