Hello, My name is Doracelis, I am a mother of 5 beautiful children and I am located in Lady Lake, Florida. They have taught me over these past 16 years that they are individuals with different needs and that each person's personality is unique. I was a lactation counselor for the WIC program for 7 years and 3 years ago, I became certified as a Postpartum Doula, focused on postpartum care for the mother and her children. I am currently certified as a Birth and Postpartum Doula to serve women in their pregnancy and birth process. From each of these opportunities, I learned a lot and I want to share my knowledge with you. Soy una Puertorriqueña que busca orientar y educar a la mujer embarazada y a su acompañante en cuanto al embarazo, parto, nacimiento y posparto. Reconociendo que el embarazo y el parto son un proceso natural y fisiologico en el cual la mujer y su bebe son los protagonistas. Sin embargo, la sociedad actual en la que vivimos ha establecido un 'Sistema' que le impone a la mujer procedimientos y protocolos rutinarios quitandole la confianza en ella misma e interfiriendo con la naturaleza del proceso. Actualmente existe un problema serio de salud publica y falta de recursos educativos llevando a una mayor incidencia de inducciones y cesareas. Me dirijo a la población Hispana con el proposito de romper los mitos y tabues en nuestra cultura Latina. Orientado, guiando, y educando a la mujer y su acompañante brindando las herramientas necesarias para que pueda tomar decisiones informadas en cuanto a su proceso. My name is Gabrielle and I’m from Central Florida . I started this journey of birth world years ago when I gave birth to my son. As the years passed the birth world just stood out to me little by little. Becoming a Doula was something that I thought about but after witnessing my first birth with a family member that is where it sparked the fire . I attended a Dona training and other trainings that helped me get  certified as a doula and with placenta encapsulation. I have also birth assisted for a few years with local midwives . Hello, my name is Macey. I have been married to my husband for 17 years. I have two teenage children that are my pride in joy. I was born in Jacksonville Florida and lived there for 6 years. I then moved to Saint Augustine to help my family take care of my beloved grandfather (Pe-Paw.) I lived in Saint Augustine for 28 years and recently moved to Palm Coast Florida. My journey to becoming a doula started as a child with my obsession with the “A Baby Story” tv show on the TLC channel. Life took a different path when I became a teen mom. Now the path has brought me back and I am overjoyed to be working with pregnant women. A long-term goal for me is to become a Midwife. Some of my hobbies include baking, hiking, gardening, and knitting.
