I have been an IBCLC for 6 years helping hundreds of families meet their breastfeeding goals. In 2018 I was awarded the March of Dimes Nurse of the Year Award for my work with Amerigroup leading their lactation program. I am dedicated to supporting all women but have a special interest in the underserved community. I have over 15 years of public health experience working at the private, state and federal level. The importance of public health and living a healthy lifestyle has been my life since I was a young girl! My mother set the stage early in life by encouraging an overall holistic approach. I witnessed my first birth at the age of nine and that exposure opened a world of possibilities. I have always had an interest in maternal and child health and a passion to support women during one of the most important seasons of life, the sacred transition into motherhood. After having children of my own, I answered the call to follow my dream and become a doula. My goal is to educate and provide resources for healthy food and lifestyle choices that can lead to a better quality of life for those in the family and future years. I received a B.S. degree in health promotion and disease prevention from the University of Southern California, and a M.P.H. in health policy and management from Emory University. My journey into pelvic health began after I was seeing an orthopedic PT for a hip injury that sidelined me from running. After getting better but not staying better, she referred me to a pelvic PT in her practice. Experiencing pelvic PT firsthand, I realized how many women across all ages are likely experiencing similar symptoms without knowing where to turn. This is when my passion for women's pelvic health began! There is still a large stigma around talking about peeing, pooping or sex, but I want to normalize these topics. ​I graduated from The University of North Carolina- Chapel Hill with B.A. in Exercise Sport Science and Psychology. I then went on to pursue my Doctorate of Physical Therapy at Emory University. I have advanced training in pelvic health through Herman and Wallace Rehabilitation Institute. I am certified through Myopain Seminars in Manual Trigger Point Therapy as well as a certified Pilates instructor through Polestar Pilates​.

I started gaining experience early on by helping in daycare centers and church nurseries, and over the years I’ve developed patience, creativity, and the ability to keep children safe while also making sure they have fun. Through my job, I am First Aid, CPR, and AED certified. I have also taken courses in Early Childhood Development and other classes focused on caring for babies and young children, and I plan to continue furthering my education with more courses. I don’t have children of my own yet, but I treat every child I care for as if they were family.
