Hi, my name is Alaila. I've been working as a doula for about 1 year now. I have 8 years of experience working in childcare as an early childhood education teacher. I have 3 children of my own, 1 boy and 2 girls. I became a doula because, I myself have preterm labor so I know the struggle to be heard during such an emotionally and physically difficult time as labor. I wanted to become a voice for anyone who is experiencing this struggle, to lift up their voice in the birthing room. I am currently enrolled and taking classes at Henry Ford to become a Medical Assistant. I plan to specialize as a Radiographer so that I can be even more helpful to the mothers I serve in the community and clinic settings.

I can’t recommend Jill and Happy Kiddos OT enough! I attended one of her baby play classes and was blown away... We are all about well fed babies, well adjusted moms, and well supported families. Our top priority is equipping pregnant mamas (and their families) with the knowledge and resources needed to successfully breastfeed BEFORE baby arrives! The cornerstone of this company is identifying and treating the root cause of any breastfeeding issues (and therefore eliminating future health concerns) using gentle chiropractic care. Well adjusted babes, moms, and families is my mission. Gentle, trauma-informed, IBCLC-trained, chiropractic care from a fellow mom is how I do it. This is the end of “I wish I would have known” and the start of every family beginning well.

With an innate passion for babies and their families, Danielle has an insightful and peaceful presence as a postpartum doula. Her compassion and understanding grew for the postpartum period after having her own set of Irish twins. Two little boys, resulting from back to back pregnancies a little over 7 years ago, gave her the wonderful experience of parenting that she wanted to share. Many of her friends called on her for advice and emotional support through their own pregnancies and postpartum times. Knowing this life-changing time in a person's life should not be spent alone, and believing she could help, Danielle followed her goals and became officially certified in 2023. Completing ProDoula’s program has given her the confidence and ability to help all those in the postpartum stage of life. Although her degree in elementary education isn’t front and center anymore, all the years in child development and classroom management have given her even more tools to become a successful doula. Danielle has been a doula to many clients, friends and family members. She realizes her unbiased strengths in this field are worthy of a true career and cannot wait to meet and guide new families through this time.

I am big on naturalistic and holistic care. I am a believer and I love to pray with my clients if that’s something they would desire.

My children love Mikah ! She’s absolutely great and we were so grateful /excited to have her apart of our support system . We did find her a little late in our pregnancy going into my 3rd trimester but she responded immediately and we didn’t waste time after that . She’s quite the help (: , she provided us with one of her lactation consultant friend Sandra , who gave us tips on how to breastfeed more effectively and they were both very knowledgeable about the proper nutrition needed to keep up my milk supply. Her gentle and calming nature helped ease our anxieties and we felt extremely comfortable leaving our son Joshua in her care while we were able to get a few hours rest. Mikah is just overall amazing and a great person to open up to as well and I would highly recommend her to anyone that needs/wants a doula . She also meal prepared for us - which btw was DELICIOUS!!! And provided the best freshly pressed juice I’ve ever had which also helped me shed some postpartum weight off .
