My journey into this work began as a nanny, where I discovered how much I loved caring for little ones and supporting families. That passion grew even deeper while taking Child Development and Education courses at Saddleback College, which eventually led me to become a full-time postpartum doula. Now, I feel so honored to walk alongside new parents as they adjust to life with their baby. I offer gentle, nurturing support—emotionally and physically—during those early days, and I love helping families create healthy sleep foundations from the very beginning.

We are Shayna & Jamie, two nurses who also happen to be mamas with a heart to educate every household on the basics of pediatric illnesses as well as CPR & choking! We offer in-home, private educational courses for groups of care givers, families or friends and are starting to book out courses for the next couple of months. Our courses provide the same education of a CPR course without the formalities of a certification... meaning you will walk away with the information you need to adequately perform CPR without a certificate & have the bonus of one-on-one guidance with Jamie, a trained American Heart Association Instructor and seasoned ER/Trauma Nurse. Along with the CPR course, Shayna (a pediatric nurse) will provide an in-depth head to toe overview of the most common pediatric illnesses, how to manage them at home, when to see a doctor & when to go to the ER. At the end of the course, there is an option to do a Q&A where you have uninterrupted time with trained professionals as well as hands on practice with manikins to practice performing CPR. Our courses typically take 2 hours between set up and take down. The course currently runs $75/ person. Since this is a private course, you get the freedom to choose who you'd like to attend & invite your chosen people. We are based out of Orange County & have a class participant minimum based on location & distance. Travel fees may apply. Our schedule is flexible with weekends, evenings and morning slots available & we book on a first come, first serve basis. Alaina Nunez is a Certified Professional Birth Photographer and Videographer in Southern California as well as a birth doula, perinatal nutrition expert, Certified Lactation Educator Specialist and Certified Photography Trainer. She documents birth stories with her sense of calm and unique observational perspective. Her images are said to be editorial, intimate, and “in the moment”. She focuses on documenting the environment and emotions and notices and captures the little details that would otherwise go un-noticed and be forgotten. She is a second generation homeschooling mama of 7, which gives her the skill set to be flexible within a variety of situations and think quickly on her feet while seeing the beauty in the mess mess and chaos. She started attending births as a birth photographer in 2013 after the birth of her 4th child and supporting families as a doula in 2020 after the birth of her 6th child. Alaina is a Christian and opening shares about her faith and how she brings the Lord into the birth space. She says it would be impossible to not bring God into such vulnerable moments and prays for and over her clients throughout pregnancy and birth. She gives credit to God for her business and the gift of being able to support families while also documenting their birth journeys. She believes documentation is an important aspect of not just preserving stories but legacies and testimonies.
