Hello everyone, my name is Fatima! I have been in the birthing world for a little over a year. I would love to say I chose this field, however it chose me! Being 1 or 6 girls, I had been to my fair share of births. I also battled with Postpartum depression, which lead me to doing postpartum work. I’ve serviced many family in the Philadelphia and surrounding areas. I am a mother too two! My favorite parts of my work, are being able to assist the families, as they navigate into their new norm! I assist with things such as helping the Birthing Parents advocate for themselves. Helping make Birth Plans and informed decisions. I want my families to feel confident in their abilities as they become new parents. I assist with thing like feedings, changing, light housekeeping and meal prep! Let’s connect!

Shanti is often described by her peers as genuine, reliable, nurturing & supportive. These are also the qualities that make her a great doula. Her belief is that all women deserve a pregnancy & birthing experience rooted in education, advocacy, equity and holistic wellness. She will soon be a certified full spectrum doula and childbirth educator through Birthing Advocacy Doula Trainings. She studied Maternal & Child Health Education at Howard University. Shanti currently works as a Family Engagement Specialist at the Maternity Care Coalition in Philadelphia. Her interests in this work began during the birth of her first niece when she was 9 years old. It was clear to her early on that she had a purpose in birthwork. She has supported hospital births as well as birth centers and assists both medicated and unmedicated births. When she isn’t working, Shanti is an avid traveller and loves the arts. She also enjoys being a dog mom, spending time with loved ones and staying active with yoga & dance. Larissa Melo Pienkowski

I’m Larissa (she/ela/ella), a birth and postpartum doula based in Philadelphia, PA. My practice is rooted in the beliefs that birth is a sacred act of transformation, that birthing people hold innate wisdom in their bodies, and that we all deserve safe, affirming, size-inclusive reproductive healthcare. As a birthworker, I offer a compassionate and comforting presence, intuitive and evidence-based information, physical support, fierce advocacy, and space for birthing people of all identities to move through pregnancy and labor peacefully and confidently. I myself identify as queer and Latina. Eu falo português e adoraria trabalhar com famílias brasileiras. 🇧🇷 In my free time, I love to cook, read, journal, play volleyball, practice Pilates, and make pottery, and I’m passionate about weaving mindfulness, movement, and nourishment into birthwork in ways that uplift radiant, full-body joy. I’m lucky to live with my wife and our Siberian husky, Olaf, in Germantown, Philadelphia.

Larissa was an incredible birth doula. She is extremely knowledgeable and provided so many helpful resources ahead of my birth, which truly helped me feel informed and prepared. Throughout the process, she empowered me to advocate for myself and make confident decisions. During labor, her calm presence was grounding and reassuring, and she was always attentive and protective of my birth space. I felt supported, heard, and truly cared for every step of the way.

Hi folks! My name is Revvy (he/him & she/her). I am a queer & trans full-spectrum birthworker based in Delaware County, PA, just outside of Philadelphia. My aim is to support folks through all possible experiences & outcomes of the reproductive process. My practice centers survivors and their autonomy, operating through a witchy lens. I believe all healing and care work practices must be intersectional as well as liberation-minded. I strive to make my work accessible and community oriented.

Recent review

Revvy was my doula for my most recent conception and pregnancy journey, and I could not have asked for a better experience. Revvy is knowledgable, and was able to answer questions that I had succinctly and compassionately. My pregnancy was complex, with gestational hypertension that caused me to have my baby boy several weeks early. Through this, Revvy helped me to feel empowered and prepared with solid information, recommendations for homeopathic remedies, and enthusiastic reassurance. My partner and I felt empowered to advocate for ourselves, especially after previous losses and challenges surrounding those feelings. I felt supported through the whole process, and would recommend Revvy as a doula to anybody looking for services.

Miriam is calm and levelheaded during labor providing a warm, knowledgeable presence. She knew just when to grab my hand as the contractions were getting intense and her words of encouragement (“You are so strong!” “You can do this”) were just what I needed in the homestretch. I highly recommend her as a doula.
